"Herbie's is one of my favorite restaurants in STL. Food is consistently good, as is service. We did have a little snag the night we went as there was a large dinner party in the big room. Staff was very good about it (even though service was pretty slow all night) - got complimentary, DELICIOUS fried doughnuts filled with chocolate. Waiter was excellent - food was awesome. Great place to eat in CWE"

"My husband and I had dinner at Herbie's for my 31st birthday. We had a wonderful time! The food was exceptional and we would return for that reason alone but the reason our dinner was beyond all expectations was because of our amazing server. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the visit to Herbie's truly memorable. He brought us generous samples of items on the menu that we inquired about but did not actually order. He brought us a sample of the cucumber bisque (phenomenal by the way), a sample of the duck confit, and a sample of escargot. When do you ever get that kind of service or attention?! We both had the house salad (so good) and entrees (shrimp and grits and scallops) as well and everything was perfect!! We will return!"
