  • Brunch and Colts Game

Three of us went to Henry`s to have brunch & watch the Colts game.We were very disappointed in the whole afternoon. The food was described wrong by the server & was not edible. Two of us sent it back & did get something semi-edible. I have been to Henry`s 3x & the food has never been good. We won`t eat there again. The game & the sound were on so that was ok. But there were few people there so there was no game atmosphere. We left at half time.

I would recommend cutting back on seasoning every food item. Let the customer put their own salt-and-pepper on their food item. The french fries were heavily seasoned and it was not apparent that they came that way on the menu. Would like to see sweet potato fries as an option.

    HAPPYHOUR
    Dined on 9/19/2014
Food is very good & well prepared, not too creative but better than the avg pub! In Indy we do not have much for outdoor dining that isn't on a parking lot, but this has a water view & fountain, & you can also see this from inside with all the glass windows. There is more than one bar inside, all beautiful so it is a VERY upscale pub. If fact, pub isn't even the right word for the the beautiful restaurant, it's just the limited menu (of very tasty food mind you) that gives it the pub name. Happy Hour is the BOMB w/ 1/2 price items The mojito is great & the Watermelon Drop martini surprised me as AWESOME because I'm not really a fan of imitation watermelon flavor, but I am a fan of the martini & it's the only one on the happy hour menu.

At Henry's 4 weeks ago & had great food & outstanding service! Most recent visit 9/14 @ 7:30 things were very different. Waited 11 mins to be seated. Food was not the same quality and the service left us feeling neglected. We had a party of 10 & had raved on the family atmosphere, food and service. Not all the food was delivered within the same time frame, 4 entree, 2 entrees, 3 entrees and then 1 had to request his meal. He had to wait approximately 15 addt'l mins to get his entree even though another member of our party ordered and received the same. Those 2 meals were totally different. The latter meal was pasta & undercooked. Drink service was slow. Ordered 3 desserts to share...all were amazing! Kids loved pool & shuffleboard.

I got the ribs which were amazing even without sauce. Waitress was really accommodating, putting sauce on the side, giving me double side of green beans in lieu of standard accompaniments (I do low-carb), & substituting house for blue cheese slaw with wings. Caesar salad w/anchovies was spectacular! Enjoyed Buffalo wings appetizer, but preferred flavor on a previous visit - not as hot. Will definitely come back...

I went with two other adults and one 10-year old. The waiter was knowleageable about the menu options and friendly. All of us found something they wanted to eat (which is not easy sometimes with food sensitivities and dislikes), and the presentation of the onion ring appertizer tower was a big hit. Henry's is a good option for casual dining, good food at the right price point. I'll definitely go back there again.

My wife and I, with another couple, went to Henry's to celebrate my birthday. The food and service was excellent. However, this was overshadowed by the live music which made our table conversation very difficult. The server was becoming hoarse due to his need to almost shout in order to be heard over the music. If you like a loud, energetic atmosphere, Henry's is your place. Otherwise, check ahead with the restaurant about live music. In either case, the food and service will not disappoint.

While the food was good, service struggled to get the timing of the food and beverages right - long delays and main course came on top of the salads. No one cleared plates and the check was placed on top of a plate... Worst yet the place was not crowded so no excuse.

the original Kincaids was a gem, a place you could wear and tie and not feel overdressed. Then management had other ideas and the second generation Kincaids was terrible, followed by Staffords which was worse. Now Henrys. The food was good with enormous portions. The ambience was ok; music far too loud. Service very good; manager attentive after we discovered that five of the beers we were interested in on the menu were not available. It will be a long time before we return

The noise level made conversation very difficult. I hadn't realized the dramatic transition that had been made from Kincaid's, then Sanfords (where I never dined) and now Henry's. Food was OK, service seemed disorganized. I really liked Kincaids as a somewhat upscale restaurant that I didn't need to travel downtown for. The only positive thing was the variety of beers on tap. I can get a better burger at Bub's. This place is obviously for the younger set who want to play games and drink but not eat.

After being at this establishment when it was Stanford's, this was my firrst visit under the new name. Most of the dinning room has been taken up by a pool table and shuffleboard table... Not quite sure what the plan is... The food was good. Nothing great, the menu is just like the name says, pub food. The music was a little loud but managable. I used to take groups of 15-20 from work here but with the new seating arrangment, I dont think that will be possible as there arent that many seats anymore. I'll go again after they have had a little more time to get used to things.

We sat out on the patio... they have 2 outdoor TV's and a fire pit which are nice. The staff was very attentive and friendly. They have a very nice cocktail menu, selection of craft beers, and small, but decent wine list. This is your neighborhood pub, with typical pub food…appetizers, sandwiches, a few extras. My salad sounded great on the menu, but wasn't that great in presentation, or taste. The veggie burger and chicken club were decent. The fries were cold and soggy. Music was heavy metal and too loud, (and we are NOT old) we asked them to change the station or turn it down, but were told, they could not do either, as it was "set by corporate". Good place to go for alcohol and munchies, but everything else is average at best.

Overall another pleasant dinner at Kincaids. One disappointment, walking into the restaurant they were advertising a couple of new cocktails. Since we were seated so quickly I didn't get a chance to take a closer look. When our server came to our table I asked about the cocktails and she said she didn't know anything about them, but could check. I was surprised she wasn't more prepared. By this time it was 7:15 PM, not the beginning of dinner service. Normally the servers are well versed in the dinner and cocktail specials.

Kincaid's is one of my favorite restaurants, but this dinner was marred by just about the worst service I have ever had anywhere! This was unusual since the service at Kincaid's is usually excellent. Our server had a very brusque off-putting attitude and didn't return with even water for over 15 minutes. He assumed we didn't understand the Northside Nights special menu (which we did) and explained it in a very patronizing way. I finally had to ask another server for my wine, which arrived 45 min. after I ordered! Our food, which was very good, came 10 min. later, not very hot. He did not offer coffee with our dessert and flopped the bill on the table before we were even finished eating! Not a pleasant dining experience.

Prime rib was less than tasty--tough, dry and quite overdone. Caesar salad was excellent and key lime pie was among the best we have ever had. Good wine list, but far overpriced for our tastes. Service left a lot to be desired. I don't think the staff was ready for the flood of patrons the encountered on these special menu days.

We were greeted by friendly hostness, and we arrived around 6 PM on a Wed nite so the restaurant was not vary busy at that time but soon became busier. Our waitress was super attentive and helpful. We had the Indy northside nignts menu for $30/person, prime rib cooked to perfectiom and though this was a special so one would think the portion would be small, not so the potion was humongous and wery tasty. The sides of garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus were adequate. Desserts were delicious with big portions. This is one of the best dining experience in my lifetime, and being a retired USAF Officer, I have eaten in many great restraunts worldwide.

The menu was good. The atmosphere is nice but not exceptional. The quality of the food was acceptable but not extraordinary. Restaurants such as Sullivan's and Ruth's Chris offer far superior meals for roughly equivalent prices. Overall, we felt the quality and ambiance should be better for the price. This restaurant used to be much busier. We went on a Saturday night and were surprised by the lack of activity - could be an anomaly or perhaps things have changed. This place might be better for those who want to sit in the bar and order drinks and appetizers than those who are looking to spend top dollar for a meal.

I have eaten here before and since then their menu has been "downsized" a bit. The offerings are still very good but some of the range has been limited. I was surprised at the lack of crowd either in the restarant of at the bar on a Friday night at 8PM but I guess the recession is still in full swing. My first selection on the wine list was not available - guess they need to keep better track of their stock.

I've never brought children before, but did this time because of the kids eat free promotion, and I would bring them again. We sat outside and my 4 and 8 yr. olds actually walked (and rolled) around on the fence perimeter of the hill. Because we were outside, noise was not an issue and the patio arrangement aloud them to "express themselves" without disturbing other patrons. Our server was OUTSTANDING, personable and quite accommodating to my sons. Great and relaxing experience.
