Henry's Place presents sophisticated American and European cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. Our restaurant is named for one of Louisville's most famous and important citizens, Henry Watterson. Mr. Watterson traveled widely in America and Europe and dined in the world's best known restaurants.

Henry’s Place pays homage to the concept of Brigade de Cuisine as originally conceived by the renowned Chef de Cuisine, Auguste Escoffier. At Henry’s Place, every brigade station is represented in its food preparation. Thus, “American Brigade”.
The menus offered to diners at Henry’s Place spring from the efforts of accomplished chefs from all over Europe, many of whom migrated to America in the early and mid-20th century. These chefs have had enormous impact on American interpretations of the very finest examples of haute cuisine from across Europe.
