A word from Henry's at the Farm
Henry's at the Farm, where "local" is more than a trend, it is our mantra. Henry's is only steps away from Buttermilk's organic Millstone Farm and minutes away from neighboring farms where eggs, honey, herbs and seasonal produce make their way from field, to our kitchen, then to your table. Henry's dinner menu is country inspired, contemporary cuisine incorporating sophisticated entrees with mouthwatering burgers, intriguing pizzas and a daily selection of house-made desserts.Continued

  • "I absolutely love this restaurant. The ambience is nice. It's actually also an Inn and Spa. We got married here and I'm so excited they made a restaurant here so my husband and I can go back often. If it's light out, the view is amazing!"

  • "First Wednesday in each month Henry's at the Farm features a 3 course dinner at a very reasonable price with a interesting movie/. It was a very pleasurable experience. You may choose to dine either before the movie, while the movie is being shown or after the movie. We had a drink with an appetizer and elected to have our dinner served toward the end of the movie. It worked out fine. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I would only like to suggest that the bar stocked some non-alcoholic beer for us who are the designated drivers. I settled for a cranberry spritzer with lime and it was fine. If you go on a regular night be prepared to spend some real money. It is on the pricey side but very worth it."

  • "Dinner was amazing! Henry's did not disappoint! I brought my husband here for his birthday because he had been wanting to go here forever, and we had an absolutely fantastic meal! We both left very full & very pleased! We're looking forward to dining here again & we're telling all of our friends & family that Henry's is a must!"

  • "I took my husband here for his birthday. We pulled into the property and were enchanted by the quant Butterfalls Inn. A little further up the drive was the restaurant housed in what appeared to have been a carriage house. We were surprised by the contemporary interior with some interesting eclectic features like the huge wine bottles used for overhead lighting. It is an enjoyable, casual space with fantastic food a great wine list and beautiful scenes of nature outside the windows. You won't be disappointed."

  • "This was our first time here. We truly enjoyed the entire evening...from the gracious team of waitstaff....to the wonderful cocktails and wine to the delicious food. We chose to order from the Restaurant Week menu, but had the option of the regular menu. The calamari was sweet and tender...seasoned perfectly. My friend had the the caesar salad ...it was to die for! He had the fried chicken, which was great. Everything was fabulous! Not one thing was mediocre. We will return again, next time we'll bring a few "foodie" friends."

  • "Having grown up in the area, my expectations were not high. Milton, the hamlet where Henry's is located, is certainly not gentrified. Though perched on the hills above the Hudson River, the Milton of my childhood recollection is commercial and a bit worn. Henry's was a very pleasant surprise. Part of the Buttermilk Falls Inn, Henry's is a small restaurant with a great setting, nice view of the grounds and good food. Restaurant is beautiful decorated and, unlike so many restaurants, impeccably clean and well-maintained. Our meal was simple and delicious. All high notes except for the chocolate souffle, which was a bit bland. Only one note of caution -- Henry's is on the second floor and reached by stairs. We did not see an elevator."

  • "I would have given a five star however no handicapped parking.....four flights of stairs to climb for handicapped.Food and service were five stars"

  • "We visited for Hudson Valley Restaurant week and were not disappointed. The food and ambiance were great. deducted a few points because the staff seemed disorganized. We had reservations but when we arrived we were told they had overbooked and we needed to wait for the next table. We had asked to have some leftovers baked up to go, but the wait staff never returned with our food. Overall a great meal, and the Inn and grounds are worth visiting."

  • "The decor has simple yet strong lines that illicit an invitation for leisure. The many windows allow one to admire the natural scenery of the grounds. The food is plated beautifully. There are many specialty cocktails that are priced comparatively. You can wear jeans and a dressy blouse ladies and feel right at home in this beautiful dining area!"

  • "I found Henry's while looking for a place to dine for restaurant week. The reviews were great so I decided to give it a try, and I'm so happy I did! The service was outstanding and the food was AMAZING. I was even able to make a birthday wish at the end of our meal. I highly recommend this establishment to any one who (truly) loves food!"

  • "We were guests at Buttermilk Falls and had dinner at Henry's twice due to the convenience. I found the pricing did not match the quality of the food and the portions were smaller than I expected for their prices. Sixteen dollars for a hamburger with limp and tasteless fries was insulting, and the fried chicken "special" portion had less meat on it than a couple of wings. All in all, not quite the eating experience we expected it to be. The servers were nice and we struck up conversations with other diners during those two nights. Their comments about the meals seemed to reflect our own. The breakfast's at Buttermilk Falls simply blew us away in comparison to the dinners at Henry's. We found much better food down the road on Route 9W."

  • "Henry's at the Farm was FABULOUS! The decor alone makes you fall in love with the restaurant. Then you add excellent service and delicious food and it's a dream come true! Loved this experience!"

  • "Been here several x's for, lunch, dinner and now brunch. It's a great day trip to go to buttermilk Falls Inn even if you can't stay over, grounds are beautiful and u can hike around before you eat a delicious meal in a romantic setting. Spa is great too! Love this place. Had brunch this time, there were 4 of us everyone loved their meals- especially the amazingly thick and homey Mac n cheese and the chicken pot pie. Desserts were great too. If you're looking for a special place this is it!"

  • "We dined on a Saturday night during restaurant week. We were greeted with smiles and a welcoming attitude even though we were early for our table. Everyone who served us was pleasant and chatted a little, they were not intrusive just friendly. The food was inventive, flavorful and locally sourced. What a wonderful gem, Cannot wait to return during daylight to explore the grounds and perhaps sample Brunch."

  • "Very good food. Warm, comfortable setting. Close parking is limited and the "additional" parking is a little bit of a walk."

  • "We ate at Henry's twice. A Wednesday night and then Thursday night. On Wednesday, the woman that sat us wasn't that friendly until we made a funny comment to her, that helped to lighten her up. Wednesday was a great dinner. Thursday night we had a great waitress. Waitress was very friendly and accommodating. We did have to wait longer in between courses, I didn't mind because you had the scenery to enjoy. My partner was bothered by the slowness because he wanted to eat and go. I enjoyed the restaurant very much and look forward to returning when the weather is nicer."

  • "The atmosphere was very nice as well as the service, but the food was not what we expected my date had the chicken pot pie which was very waterery and I had the cheddar soup which was also not as thick as I wanted it. The turkey wrap was very good, overall we had a delightful time. Thank You"

  • "the food was tasty yet way overpriced...sorry guys. I can get an organic salad at a local restaurant in Buffalo that is twice the size with many more fixings at half the price...the cake i had for dessert reminded me of one i might purchase from a freezer at a local grocery store and heat up in a microwave...cancelled our second night and didn't return...sorry"

  • "I love staying at Buttermilk Falls, but I didn't love Henry's at the Farm. The food was mediocre and so was the service. My pasta dish was mushy and felt thrown together as a last-minute vegetarian special when another had run out. I'm not vegetarian, but honestly, nothing else on the menu jumped out as me as looking good. I had heard a duck dish they served was supposed to be great, but didn't see it on the menu. Wish I had! I love the food at Buttermilk Falls Inn, but not here at Henry's. I really think they can do better, and I hope they do since it was really convenient to eat there while staying at the inn."

  • "We have lived in our town of Marlboro for over 8 years and this is our first time at Henrys. The place is beautiful, the service very good but the food was a little pricey, it was Manhattan pricey. My husband and I has the salmon, very tasty but nothing spectacular, except for the half of potatoe underneath the salmon. . Our friends had the steak, he had to return his meal, the meat wasn't cooked enough. The salads looked ok, the flat breads were very good as well as the calamari . Henry's is a beautiful little gem in Milton ny but be prepared to pay for it. For a romantic evening out this is probably the first place I would go in the town, but there are less pricey restaurants with food that is comparable. We have been to them all."

  • "Had a great time! Food is excellent! Service is good! The place seemed a little under-staffed to handle the crowd. The staff seemed extremely busy and over-worked. Made a reservation, arrived right on time, but still had to wait a good 15-20 minutes for our table to be ready. But once seated, we were well taken care of. Especially, our server, Graham was very courteous and attentive. Good collection of wines. No draft beers. But tried some bottled IPA that turned out to be excellent. Overall, a very good experience."

  • "Grant was our waiter and he was fantastic. I had the lobster ravioli special and my boyfriend got the meatloaf. Both were delicious. For dessert we got the dark chocolate pot de creme with peanut whipped cream and it was outstanding. The atmosphere was very relaxed and it was a great place to spend our anniversary."

  • "Spent Valentines Day at Henry's with my husband. We live nearby, we go a lot which is why we chose Henry's in the first place. It never fails. I had considered other venues but they all had special Valentines menus and a lot of them were sort of strange. Henry's allowed you to order off their usual menu as well as their Valentines Day menu which I loved. The food was amazing, it always is. Some people brought their young children to dinner and one of them was crying a lot. The manager and another woman helped take the baby a few times so that their mother could eat. Can't say much for the father because he did nothing but I thought it was amazing that they did that."

  • "We ate after dark so we did not really see the grounds or the Spa. I have heard these are nice. Our meals were fine and the service was great but price performance was certainly lacking. The wine list was weak (I expect to have a choice of more than 1 Cab at an upscale restaurant). Bottom Line if you live in the Hudson Valley give it a try on a special occasion but definitely not a "goto" place on a weekly basis. If you are from out of town and staying at the B&B it will be a great choice I'm sure. With that said I think Mohonk or Rhinbeck may be a better choice for a weekend visit."

  • "There is very little parking near the restaurant. There were no handicapped spaces and the building is not handicapped accessible. Arrived with my mother and sister and had to turn around and let them off at the building and walk back from the parking area which is a long distance away and not paved. I would not have wanted to walk this far in the rain or at night after dinner. It was a good thing that my sister was with our mother to help her( with her walker) up the very long and steep stairs up to the restaurant. There were only two occupied tables including our table of three in the restaurant but the server could not remember my cappuccino."

  • "My lady and I love this place. If you're lucky to get johana as your waitress, it's even better! Food and drinks are delicious and the prices are quite fair. The food is all farm to table. We love going here!"

  • "The restaurant is nestled on the property of the Buttermilk Spa. The grounds are beautiful and serene and the views are amazing. Henry's has a varied menu and a great bar. The service is very good. Everyone there takes time to occasionally check in to make sure you are happy and that you have everything that you need. They recently revamped the menu and included several new items. There is something there for everyone. The food is fresh and delicious and expertly prepared. I really enjoyed my dinner there and plan to visit again."
