  • "The place was very cool and the food exceptional. Best steak I have had, The flavors are plentiful. Must get the truffle fries,the fried zucchini and eggplant, the Kobe hotdog and the Mac and cheese. The black and white pizza was also delicious. Go with a group, order lots of different dishes and enjoy the ride! You must have a reservation on the weekend and prepare to wait anyway! The staff however is very accommodating , The bar and waiting rooms are fun and cozy. Makes the wait less bothersome!!!!"

  • "service impersonal. 12 oz. dry aged prime sirloin strip was undercooked(quite rare when ordered medium rare), gristly and seemed small. not worth the money. skirt steak ordinary. Out of black sea bass and substitute striped bass was on small side. Panko breaded sole was excellent. Overall dissappointing out"

  • "Excellent steak- great service- wonderful lobster fried rice- cozy atmosphere!!! However, I was VERY disappointed with the warm mozzarella appetizer. It was chewy, rubbery, and tasteless. The bill was also extremely expensive considering the overall experience and the food. I would go back but would be a lot more discerning regarding my menu choices."

  • "Half a star for friendly host staff. Half a star for delicious drinks (Rasberry Cosmo and Skinny Margarita). Half a star for scrumptious zucchini and eggplant chips with garlic dipping sauce. One star for ambiance. It was warm, comfortable and the noise level was ok. No star for service. Slow and inattentive. No star for entree. Tempura prawns were overcooked and tasteless as well as the crispy skinned black bass. Portion sizes for entrees were small but the side dishes were large enough for 4 people to share! Half a star for Key Lime Pie. Be warned, there are nuts in the crust. Hendrick's Tavern receives a 3 1/2 stars. I will go back, but next time I will sit at the bar high top, drink and nibble."

  • "From the valet parking to the attentive wait staff the service is the strong point at Hendricks Tavern: delivery of food was well-timed. The menu is interesting with unusual choices. Zucchini Chips were perfect. The portion sizes are too large. The Pear Salad was light with a perfect blend of dressing and cheese. The steak was tasty but tough--not what one would expect from prime meat. The Creamed Spinach was over salted. The Yogurt/Cucumber Sauce that accompanied the Chopped Lamb was excellent though there should have been more of it. Desserts were Key Lime Pie and the waiter recommended the Sticky Bun which was the gastronomic highlight of the evening. 2 Dinners & 3 drinks $180. EXPENSIVE"

Food has always been excellent, service smart and entertaining without intrusion, and ambiance is as outstanding as fine diners could ever find. There are no negatives to share, as we've encountered none in over 50 visits. You can't say you've enjoyed the best if you haven't experienced Hendrick's Tavern!"

  • "Looking for a place to celebrate our wedding anniversary....we were reminded of our wonderful dining experience a year prior...also to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Well...returning to Hendricks...was certainly worth of our repeat performance. The restaurant did not disappoint....in fact...rose to the occasion... Our waiter suggested the short rib appetizer that the restaurant was premiering that day...well...with a portion large enough to be a main course...my wife and I enjoyed the presentation of the short ribs....the soft lettuce wraps and wonderful chimichurri sauce that was provided...all under the watchful eye of the waiter and staff...apparently the restaurant planning on offering this dish as part of an upcoming lunch menu."

  • "There is no reason to return. The 4 people in my party agree that the food was disappointing. I had to return my Bronzino and the filet mignon was hard to cut and chewy. The service was unprofessional. We dine out frequently and this was the first time we had to share a wine bucket with another table that was drinking the same wine. How tacky!"

  • "Busy night -service arrived very fast after cocktails- too fast -sense early diners were being rushed out - entree arrived before appetizers finished and pressured to accept until MAJOR complaint re rushing us out. Impression - get us in/out as fast as possible. After confrontation, a positive response to concerns. Left ok but does one need an affrontive response to have a nice dinner? For all of these issues, the dinner does not come cheat!"

  • "I went to Hendriks specifically for the 48 oz rib eye for two. Now, I am a big time steak guy and while rib eye is not my personal favorite, I have had great rib eyes in the past. This wasn't one of them. The steak looked great and the presentation, with the morrow bones on top, was awesome. The steak itself was just ok. It was not nearly as tender nor as flavorful as it should have been. The service was excellent. Our waiter suggested a wine (the Prisoner @ $90) which was superb for a hearty meat dish. I liked Hendriks and will give it another try. Perhaps the bone-in filet or a seafood dish. Locally, the best rib-eye I have had was at Blackstones. Maybe the steak was just off that night but for $110, you don't get a night off."

  • "Loved the coziness of the restuarant on a cold night. We had a great waiter. The music got loud for family dinner on a Sunday night with the kids but would be fine for a Saturday night with friends. Food was good not great. My lambchops were very fatty. We would go back though."

The Rib steak for two was very good and the brussels sprouts were unique and delicious. The service was attentive, but robotic. Wines list is OK and the Chilean and Argentinian wines were affordable."

  • "This was my 3rd time at Hendrick's. It was crowed and very noisy. We waited a long time for the waiter to take our order. Service was slow the entire evening. The waiter was very harried and almost rude. Water glasses were not filled when empty and it took major effort to attract anyone's attention. Dishes were also not removed when courses were finished. As for the food, the shrimp cocktail was pathetic. Three small shrimp which tasted old. The steak was ok. Well-cooked and tasty but barely warm, as though it had been sitting for awhile. Side dishes of broccoli and truffle fries were very good. They did honor my request for a birthday candle for my daughter and the dessert was good. Too $$ for this bad of an experience. Would not return."

  • "We went on a weekday night so not terribly crowded. Noise level perfect ... food very good (a bit pricey though). Not too happy that except for two dishes (the most expensive on the menu) sides did not come with your meal. All a la carte. Did not realize that one side was enough for two people. Waiter should have indicated that. In all other respects, service was fine. Like the ambiance very much. Overall ... a repeat for us!"
