The food was amazing but the
services was terrific, Had a waitress Angela and she was adorable and made our dinner even better then it was. The restaurant is really pretty and has wonderful atmosphere, looking forward to going back."

Wonderful service - fantastic food
and wine and awesome martinis!"

Half a star for friendly host
staff. Half a star for delicious drinks (Rasberry Cosmo and Skinny Margarita). Half a star for scrumptious zucchini and eggplant chips with garlic dipping sauce. One star for ambiance. It was warm, comfortable and the noise level was ok. No star for service. Slow and inattentive. No star for entree. Tempura prawns were overcooked and tasteless as well as the crispy skinned black bass. Portion sizes for entrees were small but the side dishes were large enough for 4 people to share! Half a star for Key Lime Pie. Be warned, there are nuts in the crust. Hendrick's Tavern receives a 3 1/2 stars. I will go back, but next time I will sit at the bar high top, drink and nibble."

while I typically love the sister
restaurants, this one was just ok. I am not a huge fan of the menu options. Bone marrow, really? Perhaps it is just my taste, most likely not returning."

The food was exceptional and the
service exceeded the food."

From the valet parking to the
attentive wait staff the service is the strong point at Hendricks Tavern: delivery of food was well-timed. The menu is interesting with unusual choices. Zucchini Chips were perfect. The portion sizes are too large. The Pear Salad was light with a perfect blend of dressing and cheese. The steak was tasty but tough--not what one would expect from prime meat. The Creamed Spinach was over salted. The Yogurt/Cucumber Sauce that accompanied the Chopped Lamb was excellent though there should have been more of it. Desserts were Key Lime Pie and the waiter recommended the Sticky Bun which was the gastronomic highlight of the evening. 2 Dinners & 3 drinks $180. EXPENSIVE"

The bone in filet was awesome! The
server was great…it couldn't have been any better. Can't wait to go back."

We will be back! Excellent menu,
so much to choose from, I loved that there was great varation in food choices as well as price."

Hendrick's Tavern is one of the
"in spots" on the North Shore. Saturday nights are extremely busy, but we were seated promptly and the service was friendly and attentive. Everything is a la carte so the bill with drinks and dessert can easily be $150-200 per couple."

My wife and I have thoroughly
enjoyed Hendrick's since it opened several years ago. Food has always been excellent, service smart and entertaining without intrusion, and ambiance is as outstanding as fine diners could ever find. There are no negatives to share, as we've encountered none in over 50 visits. You can't say you've enjoyed the best if you haven't experienced Hendrick's Tavern!"

Looking for a place to celebrate
our wedding anniversary....we were reminded of our wonderful dining experience a year prior...also to celebrate our wedding anniversary! Well...returning to Hendricks...was certainly worth of our repeat performance. The restaurant did not disappoint....in fact...rose to the occasion... Our waiter suggested the short rib appetizer that the restaurant was premiering that day...well...with a portion large enough to be a main course...my wife and I enjoyed the presentation of the short ribs....the soft lettuce wraps and wonderful chimichurri sauce that was provided...all under the watchful eye of the waiter and staff...apparently the restaurant planning on offering this dish as part of an upcoming lunch menu."

This place is the best. Service,
food and ambience are perfect."

One of my guests had cold
scallops. Server keep dripping wine on the Table when he poured it."

what a wonderful gem that the Poll
brothers have given the North Shore. Always friendly with great choices on the menu to please everyone in the group. My daughter loves the chicken parm and my wife the bone marrow. the sticky bun and the end is a perfect end note. one of our favorite go to places during the week and a definite for when guests are in town"

Great food- try the dogs - service
great - something for everyone. Thursday night bar scene is loudish!"
Dined on 1/23/2014
There is no reason to return. The
4 people in my party agree that the food was disappointing. I had to return my Bronzino and the filet mignon was hard to cut and chewy. The service was unprofessional. We dine out frequently and this was the first time we had to share a wine bucket with another table that was drinking the same wine. How tacky!"
Dined on 1/18/2014
We found the greeting service and
atmosphere excellent. We made the mistake of not sending back an awful pasta and mushroom dish. Why would they allow a stick glutinous lump of pasta to leave the kitchen?"
Dined on 1/16/2014
Too noisey for the dinner mtg I
was trying to have Would come back again but not for mtg"
Dined on 1/14/2014
Busy night -service arrived very
fast after cocktails- too fast -sense early diners were being rushed out - entree arrived before appetizers finished and pressured to accept until MAJOR complaint re rushing us out. Impression - get us in/out as fast as possible. After confrontation, a positive response to concerns. Left ok but does one need an affrontive response to have a nice dinner? For all of these issues, the dinner does not come cheat!"

I went to Hendriks specifically
for the 48 oz rib eye for two. Now, I am a big time steak guy and while rib eye is not my personal favorite, I have had great rib eyes in the past. This wasn't one of them. The steak looked great and the presentation, with the morrow bones on top, was awesome. The steak itself was just ok. It was not nearly as tender nor as flavorful as it should have been. The service was excellent. Our waiter suggested a wine (the Prisoner @ $90) which was superb for a hearty meat dish. I liked Hendriks and will give it another try. Perhaps the bone-in filet or a seafood dish. Locally, the best rib-eye I have had was at Blackstones. Maybe the steak was just off that night but for $110, you don't get a night off."

Loved the coziness of the
restuarant on a cold night. We had a great waiter. The music got loud for family dinner on a Sunday night with the kids but would be fine for a Saturday night with friends. Food was good not great. My lambchops were very fatty. We would go back though."
Dined on 1/5/2014
Been to Hendricks a few times.
Food is great and the noise level is low so it is easy to have a conversation. It is a very cozy place even though it is not small."
Dined on 12/29/2013
fairly pricey for what it is...
The food was okay we enjoyed the appetizers more then the main courses and the cocktails were good but not to strong. The server we had was okay not really friendly or helpful with the menu and kind of made us feel like she felt she was doing us a favor for allowing us to dine there. we probably wont be back"
Dined on 11/8/2013
I like the classic steakhouse feel
of this place. We made a special request for seating which the maître d' delivered on nicely. The Rib steak for two was very good and the brussels sprouts were unique and delicious. The service was attentive, but robotic. Wines list is OK and the Chilean and Argentinian wines were affordable."
Dined on 12/26/2013
This was my 3rd time at
Hendrick's. It was crowed and very noisy. We waited a long time for the waiter to take our order. Service was slow the entire evening. The waiter was very harried and almost rude. Water glasses were not filled when empty and it took major effort to attract anyone's attention. Dishes were also not removed when courses were finished. As for the food, the shrimp cocktail was pathetic. Three small shrimp which tasted old. The steak was ok. Well-cooked and tasty but barely warm, as though it had been sitting for awhile. Side dishes of broccoli and truffle fries were very good. They did honor my request for a birthday candle for my daughter and the dessert was good. Too $$ for this bad of an experience. Would not return."

Vaunted beef section and
impressive descriptions in entire menu with superior plating is regrettably undermined by cold plates and some curious blandness. Kitchen and waitstaff need either more help or reengineer ing."
Dined on 12/20/2013
The food was good, not great or
creative, for the price. The wedge is definitely a share, but was short on the bacon. My filet was a little dry, if cooked perfectly, as was the lobster rice. But the setting is truly beautiful, in the center of super quaint Roslyn."

First time at this restaurant and
had great experience. Food and service were excellent. Recommendations of the waiter were perfect. Will be back."
Dined on 12/13/2013
High tables at the bar area are
perfect here. Great appetizers and Blue Point oysters every time. Love the wine list."
Dined on 12/13/2013
We went on a weekday night so not
terribly crowded. Noise level perfect ... food very good (a bit pricey though). Not too happy that except for two dishes (the most expensive on the menu) sides did not come with your meal. All a la carte. Did not realize that one side was enough for two people. Waiter should have indicated that. In all other respects, service was fine. Like the ambiance very much. Overall ... a repeat for us!"
Dined on 12/8/2013
Restaurant was overpriced . My rib
eye had a lot of gristle and I had trouble cutting it with the knife. Creamed corn was soupy"

Great place to eat. The food was
very good and the ambience is amazing."
Dined on 12/7/2013
Went for a romantic dinner with my
wife and it was. The Restaurant is beautiful and romantic. The food is very expensive and not worth the price. The Panko breaded Avacado was the highlight, very good. We shared the wedge salad which was literally half a head of iceberg, some plum tomatoes and store bought blue cheese dressing. I ordered the Wagyu Ribeye, which was served pounded down and sliced into strips. What high end restaurant serves a $36 a-la-carte steak pre-sliced? It felt like the chef wasn't sure if it was cooked right and needed to hide the fact that he cut it to check for doneness. The Lobster fried rice tasted like it came from a local chinese takeout. My wife ordered the Bronzino and said it was good but nothing special."

This restaurant may be filled with
pretentious people but the service is impeccable from the suggestions and how the food was prepped due to my healthy clean eating lifestyle. My reservation was accommodated even when I was 20 mins early on a busy night."

Rather than overuse the word
"Great" I'll say it just once. Great food, service staff, atmosphere, sound, music and surrounding town. It's great that I live nearby. Oops, I used great again."
Dined on 11/17/2013
Great dinner, great service, great
food. Made our 2 year wedding anniversary memorable and fun."
Dined on 11/12/2013
This place has been renovated so
beautifully; restoring old details and adding new and elegant touches. I've been back at least 8 or so times, hoping the food would improve. Unfortunately that hasn't been the case. The waitstaff is well-trained, the ambiance amazing- but they need new chefs! We decided to try soup and burgers for a casual weenight dinner. We had been dissatisfied with our full course meals too many times before. The soup was watery and tasteless, and the burgers just okay. Easy meals on an empty night, and still fair at best at substantial prices."
Dined on 11/12/2013
We went for our 19th anniversary
and the food, service and atmosphere were all excellent."
Dined on 11/12/2013
The food and service are were very
good. It is not a place I could afford to go regularly, but it has all the makings for an enjoyable night out ."

ambiance... great for everything for a romantic first date or a get together with your buddies. Service is always great and the food is very very good and consistent."
