It has been a long time since we have been back and we were very pleasantly surprised at the terrific interior decor. The location is phenomenal with a view of the bay bridge. Complements to the chef...our dinner was impeccable. We had the rockfish imperial and the crab mac n cheese. I think we got 2 of the best dishes on the menu. We raved about them, as did our server.
The service was lacking at first. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone took our drink orders and we had to ask someone to find out who our server was and to bring us some water. But once that was settled, our service was great.
After finishing our dinner (that we enjoyed while listening to live music from below), we walked downstairs to the grass and the water's edge to watch a perfect sunset over the Bay Bridge. After the renovation the there was some shake down time. the mune is reduced and good. The service is good. We asked to be moved and it was accomplished with no hassle. the Crab can vary. Biggest complaint is the limited red wine choices on the menu. the view is exceptional. The tables are all indoors, but there are walkways and small piers to walk on before or after dining. All in all, the setting is super. The restaurant has huge glass windows so the views are unobstructed as well. The menu is a bit limited (perhaps because we were there on Mothers Day?) but not really a problem for us - we all found things we liked. The food is fine - attractive and decently prepared - so we all enjoyed our meal, but it wasn't spectacular. This is a place to go and relax & enjoy the views while also enjoying the food - not a place you'd go to primarily because of the food. After sitting down we realized there was not enough room so they were kind enough to move us to a bigger table. The original waitress was assigned to our table and she was nothing but accomadating and helpful. She knew the menu very well and explained to us in details the specials. Very kind lady!
