Heirloom TavernGreat!The best meal we have had in a long time and this us coming from very picky people. The only negatives were the noise level which I do not believe they can help. But, they can help with the annoying bus girl who spent the meal reaching across the table to refill water glasses - she needs training. Otherwise, the food was terrific and the waiter excellent. A fairly extensive menu made choices difficult, but this time we opted for a shared salad and main courses, which included two sides. My companion had the grilled pork chop which was quite substantial but I would not order it since the sauce had too much heat from the jalapeño. My duck breast was the best I have ever had. The roasted asparagus, brussel spouts and fingerling sides were wonderful. No room for dessert this time. We will thoroughly enjoyed everything we ate:lobster taco, beet salad, Caesar salad and smoked chicken quesadilla for appetizers. Short rib, pork chop,pasta and manicotti (Monday night special) were all delicious. Wait staff was helpful and attentive. Only negative was it was rather loud. The space is tight and it gets noisy but it is an energetic, friendly crowd so its not bad. highly recommend this place as a neighborhood gem. While the room is not particularly attractive being long and narrow, and the chairs need cushions, the service and food made up for the lack of ambiance. I had the blackened orange ruffy which was delicious as was the endive salad and the dessert which was a beignet with vanilla gelatto.
