  • "We had a great time at Heck's on a cold and snowy night in Cleveland. They were super attentive to our group of 10. The food was very good as well. They seemed especially appreciative that we made it through the storm to get there. We were equally appreciative that they were open and more than ready to handle our large group. An excellent experience."

  • "I have been to Heck's since when it first opened (in the 70s I think). I used to always get the burgers, which are GREAT. But trying to eat less red meat, I had the salmon last time. Good, but a little overdone and dry. Good onion soup and asparagus. My boyfriend had the steak frites, steak done rare..it was really good, very tender. But the frites were toothpick thin, and disappointing. I say, go back to the thicker fries. Heck's is a classic dining spot, tried and true, especially for its burgers. We chose it for it's low-key, romantic ambience. But I'd say a refreshing of its menu is overdue...just sayin'."

  • "Went for Sunday Brunch after mass at the Cathedral on E. 9th St. Easy to find, perfect timing, and a wonderful feast. Burgers, breakfast, coffee, holiday drinks, and even the milkshakes pleased our family of four. Fantastic! Have already recommended to many friends."

  • "We chose heck for lunch pre-theatre and we enjoyed this bright airy restaurant. The food was good with ample portions. My friend raved about her stuffed artichokes. The burger I had was tasty as well. The kids even found something to eat. It is located a few blocks from the hustle and bustle of w. 25th street - close enough to walk to the shops but far enough to find a parking space and relax a bit. I would definitely go back!"

  • "I had the blackened chicken sandwich. I substituted the wheat bun and there was no problem. The fries were great and they had malt vinegar. Will definitely go again."

  • "The burgers were awesome at Heck's! everyone at our table ordered a different burger and all of us thought they were one of the best burgers we ever had. So the food was great, the service was great, and the prices reasonable. Plus the location is very unique too. It's a great spot overall. Would Highly Recommend it and would definitely go back."

  • "We go there at least once a month. The burgers are the best around, and we rarely order anything other than the burgers. The staff is friendly. Never had a bad experience. Can't wait until Heck's expansion is completed!"

  • "Heck's has lost some of its luster over the years and we certainly didn't need a reservation, even on a Saturday night at 8:00. Still, the menu is varied and the chicken with balsamic was very tasty, even if French fries seem a strange accompaniment. The pasta is well prepared, and the carrot cake was terrific. We saw folks eating and enjoying their hamburgers. The cinnamon infused coffee is still outstanding. Service is spotty--it took quite a while for anyone to acknowledge us, and our waiter, though very pleasant, was quiet to the point of seeming shy. It seems like most of the busy restaurants are closer to W.25th St., but Heck's is still worth a visit."
