Parmesan crusted chicken in baragoule sauce with artichokes was amazing. best chicken Ever-honestly! lobster ravioli and fig with Concord grape, burrata cheese and crispy crackers excellent starter. ver beautifully presented. Somnelier was very helpful. Our waiter was in a bit too much of a rush. Three times he approached our table and immediately started talking, which interrupted our conversation. As I finished the last bite of my appetizer the waiter placed my main course in front of me. It was not busy at lunch, but we were made to feel rushed.

Was here for a group breakfast- loved the ambience, and food was great. Service was lacking, our server made several mistakes - gave wrong orders to the wrong person, and left out items, and also brought out wrong items. The table next to us had not been cleaned since we arrived, and we noticed a few other tables in the dining area that were still not cleaned. She seemed like she was new, and no one else was helping her out.

We opted for the tasting menu with wine pairings. The portion size was perfect; the pace of the meal was excellent; the wine pairings were very well thought out and the service was very good. The tables are close together and on this night the place was packed so the noise level was such that we would hardly hear our table mates...had to lean forward to hear what was being said...not ideal for sure. We also started in the bar with a cocktail from their long list. These were very good and the service, again was outstanding. We thought overall it was well priced

Had family and friends visiting from New York. Was on a mission to try the best restaurants and compare with Michelin restaurants with New York. One came close if not better was Hawksworth. Would definitely rank Hawksworth no.1 in terms of West Coast cuisine. Food was great, using lots of seasonal and local ingredients. The mix of flavor and fusion.....delish! Service was fantastic, staff was knowledgeable about food and wine. all in all a great dinning experience.

Perhaps if we hadn't had dinner at Blue Water Cafe the night before we would have liked Hawksworth better, but the food didn't quite compare for us, the atmosphere didn't either, and the service was not as efficient or polished. We arrived early and said we'd have a drink in the bar first which we did (my dry Robroy seemed more vermouth than Scotch!) But at our reservation time we told our server in the bar we were ready for dinner (as we'd been told to do). She went to the hostess, but about 15 minutes later we were still waiting. I went to the hostess and she seemed confused. Yes, she knew we had said we were ready but somehow thought we had magically been seated. ??? Very good, just not as great as the hype or what we expected.

An extraordinary dining experience. We were in from Chicago (where we've had incredible meals, including at Alinea and Everest) and this was a birthday celebration. The simple, seasonal preparations, the extensive wine list, and the attentive but friendly service, all in a modern, luxurious setting, were everything we hoped for. I also noted that with one exception (a couple who had arrived for an early seating), the patrons were dressed for the evening. They made an effort, wearing suits or sportcoats or dresses or nice trouser outfits, contributing to the sense that this was a special occasion in a special place. We had appetizer specials based on seasonal ingredients and the rack of lamb, which was superb.

I changed my reservation several times and the staff was very helpful and prompt with my requests. We did not have to wait long before our table was rearranged from 6 seats to 4 seats. The server was quite happy to help us with the menu and our orders, though he only checked up on us once during our meal and didn't come around to fill our water glasses till we requested it. He only filled one of the glasses and we had to ask for the rest to be filled again.

We've been to Hawksworth three times. Once for dinner and twice for lunch. We also attended David Hawksworth dinner at SilverStar in Vernon, BC a couple of weeks ago. The latest was on August 31, for Saturday Brunch. I had the English Traditional Breakfast and my wife had the special that day consisting of heirloom tomatoes, poached egg, crispy bacon, watercress and dressing and toast. Both were a delightful experience. Hawksworth is a must dine!

Hawksworth has always been my favourite restaurant and I refer out of town visitors there often but my recent experience has me questioning whether the level of attention to guest experience may be waning. There were children seated nearby who were banging their feet against the shared bench. This persisted throughout my meal and I can see that others nearby were similarly annoyed. I can understand that the staff may not have wanted to confront the parents but little to nothing was done to manage other guests' experiences. Furthermore, we were presented with our bill before we'd finished dining which I thought was quite unprofessional. Not sure now when and if I'll go back again.

We celebrated my boyfriend's birthday at Hawksworth. I was surprised to even be able to find a reservation for the two of us. I had requested a more intimate and private table.. and that was exactly what we got. The service was phenomenal. We were approached many times with help choosing from the wine list and dinner menu. Hawksworth is a definite must for a special romantic date. It is on the much more expensive side of the spectrum, but the experience was definitely worth the cost.

Hawksworth is a Vancouver, Canada gem. Their menu is varied, and for the exceptional quality is reasonably priced. Not inexpensive, but reasonable. We enjoyed the six course Tasting Menu which included wild salmon tartare, heirloom tomato salad, slow cooked lobster, crispy veal sweetbreads, roast lamb saddle and a goat milk panna cotta. The flavors were exquisite, and the plating artistic. The wine pairings were brilliant and I regret forgetting to ask for a copy of our menu. The price was $98.00 ($148.00 with pairing). We've dined at some of the finest restaurants in the country which include Tru and Topolobompo in Chicago, The Inn at Little Washington in Virginia and The French Laundry. Hawksworth ranks right up with best.

Service was slow. When our breakfast arrived, I found the eggs cooked just the way I asked for them, but I found the dish overly salty. The service was really the reason why I didn't enjoy my meal, however. We had brought some work material with us and it was obvious we were there to talk business, but it took such an unreasonably long time for them to clear our dishes away when we were done. I had trouble even flagging the waitress down to request that the dishes be taken away. I had always heard good things about this restaurant, but maybe not for breakfast???

Hawksworth tries to make every aspect of every item on the plate special. They overdo it. The flavour of the foie gras was almost lost under layers of aspic and decoration. The halibut was overcooked and served with a tasteless black olive crust (which was not a crust but more resembling paste). Overall it's a nice place for a quiet drink and first class service but the food needs less work to allow the flavours of the dish to shine.
