    Merriman's is back to the high standards, creative dishes, and fresh local quality when Peter did the cooking many years ago. My wife and I enjoyed one of the best meals out we have had in a while and the best meal we have had at Merriman's in over 10 years. The new general manager is is chef, and it is clear that he puts a lot of time and energy into the menu and service, getting the freshest local food, and caring about every little detail. Top Notch....More

    Family who visited the Big Island last year recommended The Blue Dragon for great food and music, and we were not disappointed. We had delicious locally caught fish and enjoyed the really fun oldies band Johnny Shot. It was a beautiful night under the stars, with a great, fun vibe and really prompt and friendly service. We were early for our reservation, but they seated us right away, and our waitress made us feel like the only table she had. Good for families, couples and friends. A dance floor too, that filled up and helped make it a great evening. I'd go again in a second. And by the way, check out the Blue Dragon spa upstairs - I enjoyed a fabulous massage with Erica before dinner....More
