Arnold brought a piece of raspberry chocolate cake with a lit candle and helped us sing to the birthday boy. I liked the atmosphere- casual yet with a resort feeling. Large assortment of crab, sashimi, shrimp, scallops was offered- was good. Many choices in other appetizers, entrees and desserts. We all liked the prime rib and kalbi. The hand rolls were nice- big pieces of unagi! Some choices were good but I'm not able to say the food was outstanding. Lomi lomi salmon and mahi mahi were bland as were desserts. We would return but for brunch. Very, very good with lots of fresh fish, shellfish, and crab. In addition there are many hot entrees to choose from. Our group was mixed with somewhat "picky" eaters and those of us who are omnivores. The selection of food and quality certainly did NOT disappoint any of us. The food was presented beautifully and was maintained at appropriate serving temperatures. Our waiter, Philip, was very efficient, entertaining and provided us personalized service even though his station was crowded. I usually frequent other fine dining restaurants which do not charge for parking but my daughter chose this place for her belated Xmas dinner. So, having not dined here for a number of years, the quality has gone down but I'm assuming it is because of the economy. The food which I selected was cooked well, however, and I have no complaints with the taste. The service, as usual, was excellent.
