Located just 20 feet from the Hudson River and midway between the George Washington Bridge and Lincoln Tunnel, HAVEN Riverfront Restaurant and Bar is a cornerstone of the new Edgewater Harbor development. HAVEN features extraordinary Manhattan skyline views; Modern New American cuisine with classic roots; a comfortably chic aesthetic; outdoor seating; and a lively bar scene presenting a well-balanced mix of classic and contemporary cocktails. Executive Chef Peter Larsen's menus balance local seasonal ingredients, bright but complex flavors and seasoning, and creative, modern technique. Chef Larsen is a graduate of the Royal Culinary Academy of Copenhagen, Denmark. Most recently, he held the positions of Executive Chef at The Goodwin (which he opened) and Artisanal (both in Manhattan).   • "I wanted to take my family to Haven, because I have been there several times with my significant other. Everything was going great, the waiter was very professional and friendly, however when I received my plate there was something in it. I notice their was a plastic object on my hanger steak. I didn't want to make a scene, so I asked the waiter to come over. I showed him what was on my plate, and he took it and showed it to the chef. Besides the plastic object, the food was good and the staff was very friendly. I just felt embarrassed in front of my family. I wanted it to be perfect, this is why I took them to Haven, and not to some random restaurant. In the end, they didn't charge me for one my desserts which I appreciate."

  • "We had lunch at The Haven on a remarkably wonderful day weather wise. I had been to 3 Forty Grill in Hoboken, but it was my first trip to The Haven. The service was great and the food was marvelous. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. For people like myself, who had gotten through the long winter in Bergen County, the day was a dream come true. I will go there again in mid-July to celebrate a friend's birthday."

The food was fantastic (I had the hanger steak and my date the chicken) and the view breathtaking(I wish tables faced windows). Our waiter was outstanding, and constant with service(I left him 25% he earned it)."

  • "We stopped in a few months ago for a pre-dinner drink. Our server told us about the Sunday brunch so we decided to come back. Our expectations were exceeded. The menu options were a combination of classics and creative originals. The prices were reasonable considering the prix fixe menu includes two drinks. Beware that alcohol cannot be served before 12:00 noon. We arrived at 11:30 am and our drinks promptly arrived at 12:01. Everything was delicious and the servers were very attentive. Also, we hung out a little longer after breakfast to enjoy the view and catch up on some work. It was a great way to spend a few hours."

  • "This is my third visit to Haven and it keeps getting better each time. Brunch was fabulous, this time it was dinner. It was a bit strange to me they still have a winter drink menu (think sparkling ciders and peppermint mocha martinis), but the drinks were good. The menu is creative and everything we ate (oysters, steak tartare, salmon, steaks, short ribs, meyer lemon panna cotta) was great. Why not 5 stars ? Well I reserve this for places like Nobu 67 and Jean George , but on the water , this place far exceeds competitors like the Chart House. The wine list is decent and not overpriced either. Best of all this place is just beautiful, the design in both trendy and warm at the same time. Can't wait for the summer menu and patio seats!"

  • "The first thing when we arrived was seeing a sign that said $5 for parking, before u even walked into the restaurant. Have never seen that before. The attendant followed my husband into the restaurant so he could get change. Ambience was good, view when the weather is good is fabulous. The food was excellent. The service on the whole was good but a little spotty at times. Will try it again."

  • "I would definitely recommend this resturant. The only thing though I would like for them to update their address online it states: 2 main st and my GPS took me to main st in Fort Lee!!! Thank god for Kelly, greeter, who informed me of the proper addres and was very pleasant. Keep up the good work Kelly!! I felt that the menu was a little limited. But the Gargenrella pasta was very good, had mild mint. The staff was friendly and attended to our every need the location was quite beautiful definitely a romantic location the brother even said that he would one day return with a special someone ❤️. All in all he food was good, as mentioned menu limited but was good nonetheless."

  • "I researched n researched this restaurant. I read every review online n decided to experience this restaurant for myself. The occasion was my husband's birthday and i wanted to take him to a restaurant that had high ratings, lots of ambiance' just make it special for him. I knew it was hitting home when he complimented me on the choice. The experience was great. From the young man who valet our car, who was very cordial to the friendly greeting of the young ladies when u first enter the restaurant to our waiter Luis... it was great. Portions are just right n the food is delicioso. Ambiance was perfect. .Views are spectacularly amazing. A must judget for yourself."

  • "Had a dinner party for 4. The food was mediocre for the price point we paid for dinner. The appetizer (grilled calamari) and entree (filet mignon) were just okay. The miso-glazed fish was good. The saving grace was dessert! Croissant bread pudding was AWESOME! Might come back for drinks at the bar and dessert. The ambiance at the bar was cool."

  • "The Maitre D wished us a Happy Anniversary & the view of Manhattan was perfect & has a very romantic feeling. We went w/ our waiter Todd's recommendations. Pretzel Crusted Fried Calamari wasnt hard/chewy. Its soft & the crust is fluffy/crisp. The Sea Scallops, soft/juicy & is complemented by a airy potato foam, that Todd explained a process I never imagined. The Garlic Rosemary Lamb wasnt overcooked/well proportioned. I understand why tv chefs freak out if the Risotto isnt done right because after my 1st bite I was in heaven. Risotto was al dente sitting in the juices of the seafood which was just as good. For desert we shared a Vanilla/Black Sesame Seed/Salted Caramel Ice cream in which Todd came back with our dessert w/ a lighted candle."

  • "As requested we got our table by the window facing the river which was excellent! The brunch menu is limited but, carefully selected at the same time. We tired the Breakfast Burrito, which was good, the egg white ommelete and the Crispy Fried Chicken sandwich which was by far the best of all dishes. We did not do the prixe fix as it really does not make too much sense when they are simply including one more drink. We hope they change the brunch menu items according to the season so we can come back in the spring and enjoy another nice day!!"

  • "On a beautiful sunny Sunday (finally) we tried brunch. We weren't the only ones with the idea; I was glad to see the restaurant crowded. I'm not a brunch lover, because most brunches are buffet which I hate. I like to be served food prepared especially for me. Haven's brunch is great. The pire-fixe is fun: 2 bloody marys or mimosas and choice of many entrees--some have an additional charge; but the extra price is not scalping: i.e. bagel and lox platter $ 1 more; steak salad $5 more--all well worth it. Our favorite was the healthy eggs benedict--what a great combo; perfectly poached eggs on english muffins w/ avocado and salsa. I would come back for brunch again--it may become my new Saturday before shopping or Sunday activity."

  • "Arrived early on a sunday (6PM). Place is new and in a new complex, so you need to hunt for it. Valet parking $5 is nice if that's your thing. Bar is a nice area and drinks are well priced. Granted, it was empty, but i felt well attended to. Moved to dining around 7:00 and place was still empty. Had the bass ($34) and the pork ($27). Pork was nicely seasoned, both were well presented wit large enough portions that you did OK. Staff was mostly attentive, but there were points at meal's end where there were some gaps. Nothing critical and I am sure that it will get better with time. As to the view - nothing from the bar, but from the dining area - full panoramic view of Hudson to upper west side skyline and Riverside Park"

  • "OK, we went on a Tuesday night and the place was quiet except for the person at the bar who insisted on using his cell phone on speaker. The environment is very nice and the view is great. On the food and service… food was ok not very exciting though and as for service 1. don't make me ask for bread throughout dinner, the one piece at a time doesn't cut it and bring butter. 2. don't give me my main course before I finished my app. If you're going to charge Manhattan prices I expect Manhattan food quality and service. And a final note -- valet parking! I pulled up to the front door and paid the $5 fee and the car remained in the spot I put it in for the entire time."

A little hidden, just remember turn at the Home Goods & Edgewater City Hall building, GPS sends you past it to a construction entrance while the building next door get's built."

  • "My wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and me tried the brunch at Haven for the first time. We were drawn because of its new brunch menu, that did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was great, as were the fixed menu brunch drinks. The service was excellent and the Maitre D' was around to make sure everyone enjoyed their experience. We will certainly be back many times...especially considering the fixed brunch menu is only $24. Thank you Haven."

The food is good if not great and the prices are reasonable for this sort of dining experience. It is NOW our go to restaurant in the Edgewater NJ area.   • "We dined at Haven last night and had a wonderful experience. Restaurant was still celebrating Valentine's Day with a prix fixe menu. There were many choices for appetizers, main courses and desserts. We were a party of 4 and all of us enjoyed the food...beautiful presentation, interesting ingredients and delicious! Service was attentive and we were not rushed. The ambiance is tasteful and you can't beat the view of NYC. We particularly liked that the bar area is separate from the dining area, which when crowded, probably reduces the noise level. Out door dining on a beautiful patio will be offered when the weather gets warmer. A little pricey but worth it for the quality. We will definitely go back!"

  • "I love the ambience and the views of the resturant. Drinks great Service was good the hostess were great. The server very knowledge, Welcoming and hospitable,great addition to the restaurant. The bus man Was a very distracting and annoying aspect if dinner. I would say that was the worse part of the dinner. The food portions are there:Lobster Bisque- a little watery for my preference tasty nice choice with the apple Butter Squash ravioli: THE BEST DISH PERIOD! Nice flavor of savory/sweet the crunch of the toasted nuts amazing flavors Sea bass: good excluding noodles had a crunch that made it feel uncooked but all else was a nice flavor explosion Steak was to be cooked medium but came back tuff and rubbery otherwise that did was just ok"

  • "5 stars for everything other than the food. For the kind of place you would expect 5 star quality food but instead you probably could pick up better at your local caterer. Everything was either too bland or overly salty. Pretty much displeasing to the palate. I have been to many fine dining and the fact that the food was that bad is really disappointing. Hate to say it when the place is so beautiful, but please work on food quality."
