Diner Reviews
  • "We had a very nice dinner at Havana. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The food was excellent and the various kinds of Mojitos tasted refreshing. Fidal and Raul would feel right at home having a Cuban meal here at Havana. I will go back soon."

  • "We went here for lunch for the first time and it was really good, we got the empanadas to start and they were tasty, then of course the Cuban sandwich and Cuban Roasted Pork both were delicious and one of the few places that makes congri the right way. Service was also good."

  • "I love Havana! The food is always good (we had the halibut, salmon and guacamole) and I've always loved what I've ordered. The drinks-especially the mojitos and margarita- are delicious. At night, they often have great music which tops off a great evening!"

  • "The only thing lacking was service. We didn't have a server. The bartender (who was excellent) had to come from behind the bar to serve us so it wasn't as speedy as we hoped given as we were starving. But the food was worth the wait and the drinks were on point!! Will be back!"

  • "Must try the Havana Pulled Pork entree - very good! Our server was great. We sat outside (outdoor seating is limited) but occasionally you get the smell of the alley coming by. Indoor seating probably would've been better!"

  • "Had a great meal, especially the black bean soup and the pork chops."

  • "Made reservations for a pre - play dinner for 4. We had been here once before and this time brought friends. The margaritas are very good, not overly sweet. Service is very friendly and helpful with items on the menu. A nice little throwback to 50 ' s Cuba with good reliable menu. Music was a little on the loud side. The carne asada is very well spiced and cooked. Two of us had the Cuba pork. A nice plate but a little sweeter taste than I expected. Our friends liked it and we all agreed we would go back again."

  • "I almost hesitate to write this because I want to be able to get a reservation the next time that I am in town. This is definitely a hidden gem! Everything was great! Drinks, appetizers and main course! All enjoyed! This is definitely on my return list! Mojito Heaven!"

  • "Was a little disappointed in the food. Was kind of bland. The appetizers were good."

  • "Food was good but very noisy on Friday night. Made a 10 pm reservation around 9 and they honored it even during a busy night. Band played and it become more of a night club than a restaurant."

  • "We stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for something casual while different. The Cuban food was really tasty just the right amount of flavor where you could actually taste it. The service was super friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend. Enjoy!"

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed the spicy chicken wrapped in banana leaves, the chicken rolled with spinach and cheese, and the crab cakes. Guacamole was good but not great. Servers were attentive and friendly. Noise on a Saturday night was difficult for conversation but we would go back for the food."

  • "My gf's best friend and other mutual friends had a great time at this place. Havana is a overall good experience for ladies night out or a special occasion. For them it was a birthday."

  • "We dined at Havana on a Friday night. We had a reservation at 7:00p and we seated promptly. The waiter was attentive and we ordered margaritas and a bottle of Rioja. Both were very good. The food was outstanding. The ceviche, crab cakes, and empanadas were great as appetizers. The entrees of halibut, pork, and steak were all great. In particular, the sauces served with the items greatly enhanced the flavors. This is a restaurant we will come back to on a regular basis."

  • "We've walked past this restaurant so many times and finally decided to check it out for a late dinner. What a wonderful surprise! The food was really, really good and the margaritas and mojitos were outstanding! And to top it off, there was live entertainment after dinner! We keep coming back for appetizers (the best ceviche around) and drinks at the bar and occasionally for dinner in the evening. It's walking distance to where we live and we're so happy to have discovered what so many others have obviously known about for a while. Highly recommended."

  • "Food was amazing, ambience was incredible. Our waiter was very nice, but never came to the table to check on us and it was very difficult to find him when we needed something. Other than that, we had an absolutely wonderful time and will definitely return!"

  • "While part of the draw to Havana is their marvelous mojitos, the food is also excellent! Authentic and delicious Latin American & Caribbean cuisine. Have eaten here several times, both as a couple and with a larger group, and always had a good time, and food and drinks have been consistently good."

  • "Our hostess could not have been nicer in accommodating us. The servers were polite and prompt without being overbearing. One of the better experiences while dining out in a while."

  • "Great food (if you don't like the tostones you don't have a soul), tremendous drinks (try the mojito flight), and reasonable prices. We had a group of 10 and they accommodated us with a large table in the downstairs dining room. Overall a great time and highly recommended. "

  • "Stopped in after work for happy hour and we ordered a pitcher of mojitos. FANTASTIC - one of the best mojitos I've had. The service was great as well - our waiter was attentive yet not intrusive. We were running late and the restaurant was happy to adjust our reservation, which was very much appreciated. We ordered several appetizers but, unfortunately, were not wowed by any of them. The tostones were rather bland and the calimari was a bit oily. Not enough to complain or send back, but just ehh. May try dinner or, at the very least, stop in just for mojitos. The drinks and service make Havana are good enough for a second chance."

  • "The food was amazing and the service was good!!! Best Cuban place ever."

  • "The food was good, which is why I gave it one star. The service was terrible. We had to wait 20 minutes for a beer every single time. The venue is small and gets crowded and hot when live music starts. Live music started about an hour late. I will not come back, it is not worth it. Too hot and uncomfortable. Not really my scene at 34 years old. I like to have a good time, but not be suffocated and pay big bucks for poor service. The women's restroom was uncomfortable, the floor was flooded with water or urine?? It was located downstairs and made for quite a trip when you had to move from you table to anywhere in the place. I think this might even be a fire hazard. It was terribly overcrowded."

  • "My wife and I stopped for dinner before the theater. Good service. Good drinks. Food was a pleasant surprise and a really good value for restaurants in the area. Loved the feeling that you could be in 1950's Cuba for the whole experience. "

  • "Mojito's had a harsh alcohol taste the food was just average. Nothing really bad, but nothing was well seasoned or flavorful. Service was good. We had Platanos Maduros, Carne Asada, and Pollo Horneado con Platano."

  • "I was with 2 girlfriends celebrating one of their birthday's. And we had a great time we got a pitcher of the $20 mojitos, and a pitcher of white sangria, it was Ok, the sangria could be stronger. The food was great we had the gaucamole, empanada trio, the paella was good, the salmon was great and the birthday girl orderd the steak. Everything was good! At one point it got very loud but it was on a Friday after work, so it was very much expected. Service was great too. Overall all a great night with friends."

  • "Good for people watching in the city for lunch outside. Had the Cuban salad and it was good, not great. My friend got the enchilada lunch special and said it was awesome! I will try it next time!"

  • "More on the trendy side than traditional but your in the loop so you need to expect that. Was good quality. 6 people went and all enjoyed the food. We were there for Lunch. 1130 place empty. 12:10 almost full. "

  • "I've been to Havana before and have experienced slow service - but never to the level of our most recent visit. Our server greeted us shortly after we arrived at our table and took our drink order - it took about 5 minutes to get our drinks and she then took our order for appetizers - we ordered guacamole. Our server never returned to our table. After waiting 45 minutes we stopped another server who was walking by and inquired about the appetizer and placing an order for our entrees. He apologized and comped us for the guacamole. It took another 10 minutes to get the guacamole and another 30 to get our cuban sandwiches (there were 3 of us at the table - we all ordered the same thing). It took three hours to get through the meal."

  • "We loved the food and drinks here and were very appreciative of the manager asking us if we wanted a table downstairs in a private room where we could converse! "

  • "The food at Havana was good and the service was very good. I would go back. It was not super busy the night I was there but when they are full I can see how it might be a bit on noisy side. But overall good."

  • "Restaurant is small....barely room to move in the bar....too noises for ant type of conversation. Our waiter was not super attentive. My husband's food was served cold after waiting an extremely long time for our entrees to arrive. Waiter never stopped back to check to see if our dinners were ok. Too many other restaurants in the city for Havana to get another visit."

  • "Great food (yucca anything and poblano cream sauce, manchego cheese and spinach stuffed chicken), powerful drinks (sangria and mojitos), lively people and ambiance (noisy, fun, and everyone was smiling and having a good time) and the waiter that looked like Robin Thicke (according to my fiance LOL). Reservations are recommended, when we left at 8:30, there was a crowd gathered, waiting to be seated. Will definitely return to dive deeper into the menu and cockail list. Salute!"

  • "This was our first time at Havana. We arrived early so we could sit at the bar and have a few drinks and relax. Cherish was most friendly and very personable. My wife ordered wine and I a Vodka & Tonic. I must say this is the first restaurant we've been to that the tonic came out of the bar dispenser "bubbly". Andy was our server and he was just great! We ordered Crab Cakes for a appetizer which were delicious, served with a black bean sauce and fresh chopped fruit. For dinner we had the crusted Halibut, this was by far the best Halibut we've ever had. Served over a Cuban sauce which accompanied the fish very nicely with a side of mashed sweet potatoes and mixed vegetables. We had the Flan for dessert with coffee which was just excellent."
