This was my first Cuban experience and I can't believe that I waited so long....Absolutely hands down one of top 5 restaurants my wife and I have visited in Maryland. The place is small, roughly 11-15 tables but don't let that fool you....You haven't lived until you experience the Cuban dishes this place offers. We will be a regular customer forever!!!!

The food was great but a bit overpriced for the portion and quality. The mojo chicken was very dry but their flatbread appetizer and fries were delicious. I think they'd do better if they offered their sandwiches At a lower price...not sure that it's worth $15 for a sandwich and fries.

We were able to get a table without waiting before the later evening crowd came. We loved the mahi-mahi and was cooked perfectly. The chickpea soup was delicious and hearty. For next time - I will get the soup with a salad for a summer dinner. Enjoyed the pork and beef dishes too.

We went to Havana Rd because a friend of mine saw they were taking part in Baltimore Countys restaurant week. Making reservations was quick and easy, the service was excellent, the food was better then we imagined. I have issues with food allergies, the waiter was very nice and checked eacb item that I ordered to ensure I wouldn't have any problems. I'll definitely be returning!!

My friend and I had a terrific lunch at Havana Road during Baltimore County food week. My friend had the restaurant week menu: a wonderful creamy gazpacho w/watermelon served in a martini glass; an assortment of hot appetizers; a pizza-like entree w/shrimp and feta cheese; yummy mocha/kahlua flan; and coffee. I had the old standby Cuban sandwich with pork, ham, cheese, pickles, and mojo sauce. Both were delicious, and we'd certainly visit this small, informal, neighborhood spot again.

Dinner for 4 on Saturday night was delicious. Three gaspachos were on the menu. All were great. Our entrees were very flavorful. We stuck to traditional dishes since it was our first time eating a Cuban meal. Our waitress knew so much about the food and preparations. Her manner was friendly and professional. The restaurant is very casual and comfortable. It is BYOB.

After reading many good review I thought this would be a great place for dinner on the 4th of July. The waitress greeted and seated us quickly she was helpful in the recommendation of a few items on the menu, but still with the same attitude. I ordered the brisket and my friend got the roasted pork. My wife ordered a chicken dish and my friends wife got the salmon. The pork dish was skimpy and lacking flavor and my brisket was dry and the sauce was bland. The chicken dish was adequate and not at all special. The salmon was the worst of it all tasting frozen and over seasoned. We said something to the waitress about the fish and she said she would take it off the bill. When the check came it was still on the check. We left disappointed.

"I love the relaxed feel of this place - like the comfortable outside dining. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The garbanzo and chorizo soup was amazing and the sangria was refreshing. The table was in favor of the scallops and the roast pork. Everyone loved the "tostones" and the shrimp in garlic sauce.. Service was well-timed and friendl; everything we ordered was tasty and affordable."

Thanks to the staff for a great meal and great service. We had a party of 12 and the Havana Road staff handled it very well. Most of the folks in the party were from out of town and I was very pleased to see that everyone enjoyed dinner. Always tough when you're the one charged with choosing the restaurant and making the dinner reservations. Multiple orders of the Lechon Asado entree... There was no disappointment there! Havana Road is great for a couple or a group. Thanks again Havana Road

I am not a lover of Cuban food so am not the best judge. Others loved their pork and brisket meals. Sadly - the resto was out of the one item that I do LOVE - sweet plantains. Tried 2 yummy cakes - tres leches and rum cake. I think the prices - especially for dessert are a tad high. Still - happy to support an independent restaurant in Towson.

The waitress did not do a good job. We didn't know that it was BYOB and there was a liquor store right next door not 10 feet from the front door. The questions that we asked the waitress about the food she answered incorrectly. They had 3 juice options on the menu, were out of 2 of them and after 1 glass of juice they were out of that one too! NOT GOOD FOR REPEAT BUSINESS.

Very yummy entree & empanada for an appetizer. "Traditional" bread and dipping sauces for the appetizer was nothing to write home about (bread had a "stale" bread texture) so I would skip it next time. BYOB kept the cost down. Coffee was very good and the desserts sounded good, but I didn't try.

Have eaten in this restaurant about 15 times- ususlly it's superb. Our last meal was sub-par. The Lechon Asado pork dish took 45 min to be served, and didn't taste anywhere near as good as it has in the past. Our server said it was "different pork" and had been reheated or something- that it hadn't cooked all day like the menu purports. We'll go back, as hopefully this past experience was a fluke.

It is rare in the Baltimore/ Washington area to find a Cuban restaurant. The pork was the best I've had since "pork was turned into "white meat". Not only is the food a genuine reflection of Cuban dishes but the owners have added decorative touches to evoke a Cuban feel to the decor.
