  • "We had a reservation, but they made us wait 45 minuts. Said kitchen was behind. They finally offered us free drinks but they never came as we waited. Waitress was great, but food was very disappointing."

  • "My dinner at Havana Central was delicious. I ate the Havana Central's classic Cuban Sandwich. I recommend it to all of my friends. Havana Central is an ideal and top of the line restaurant for all occasions. They have a vibrant bar scene, their music energetic, and all of their food dishes are delicious."

  • "My lunch today at Havana Central was very tasty and delightful. I had 2 friends with me and they enjoyed their lunch. Havana Central's Cuban sandwich is very tasty my friends loved it. The Shrimp with safron rice ordered by friend was delicious. My friends want to return back to Havana Central again and again. Our waiter Sebastian was outstanding and very caring about our needs."

  • "The food was good but was pricey for Cuban cuisine. Everything in New York is a little more expensive which we expected but visiting here from Tampa, we expected more from a Cuban restaurant, at least some Cuban bread."

  • "I had to duck out of my conference for dinner and found Havana Central. The food was good and the service was excellent. The wait staff was very attentive. It was loud, but what do you expect, it is located in Times Square. There was a good energy in the restaurant and people seemed to be enjoying themselves. I would go back."

  • "Very nice atmosphere and waiter provided excellent service to assure we got to our 2 pm matinee in time. Had the salad with mango glazed salmon which was grilled to perfection and portion is plentiful. Have lunched there many times and were always pleased with the dishes we selected."

  • "My dinner at Havana Central was delicious, I had a pernil sandwich with sweet potatoes fries My compliments to the chef. Dining at Havana Central was extra special because I h my favorite waitress Madeline. She always makes sure I have my lemon wedges with my ginger ale. I also had the pleasure of seeing Caroline another favorite waitress of mine. I recommend Havana Central to everyone I know. It is a great and excellent restaurant with tasty and top of the line dishes and an excellent wine list."

  • "I've been to Havana Central many times and I always say I'm going to order something different, but I always end up getting the classic Cuban sandwich! It's the best Cuban I've found and would recommend it to everyone. Plus, the mojitos are delicious! The downstairs can be a bit noisy, but if you want a more intimate noise level, ask to be seated upstairs."

  • "I would not recommend the food. Everything tasted pre-prepared, and warmed up, not fresh. Understandably the Cuban slow roasted pork takes hours to make, but I was disappointed. The service is excellent. The Latin style band was very loud for the venue but enjoyable. I would not return. If you have the time go outside the Times Square area to find a restaurant, there are other choices. What could be a gem in the theatre district is not."

  • "We had dinner here following a play on Sunday. It's in walking distance to the theatre district. hey have two floors of seating. We sat on the second floor overlooking the main, which was very nice and a bit secluded. We started off with fried calamari, which is delightful. I had the mango-galzed salmon salad, which was quite good, my husband had the chicken sandwich and my son and husband had the classic cuban and grilled chicken cuban sandwiches, respectively. Everyone enjoyed their selection. We had a finish up with a great dessert, but couldn't decide which would be best so we went with the cuban dessert sampler, which included churros, flan and tres leche. I had never had churros before - now I'm in love."

  • "Great food and Mojito try coconut and service!! Recommend or post Broadway shoes in theater district"

  • "The food was delicious, unfortunately, everything was served at once. We ordered appetizer, main dish and desert and everything was brought at once, making our table extremely crowded. The restaurant was also very congested. The noise level was loud, I guess because many were watching the World Cup on TV. Also, the restaurant did have a bit of a dingy look and feel to it."

  • "I always enjoy stopping in to Havana Central when I am in the city. It is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Great food great service, great people."

  • "Food was good but there are better places to go in NYC. Service is exceptionally slow. It is a big restaurant close to Times Square, enough said."

  • "Right in heart of theater district. Fun, vibrant atmosphere. Great food and different from the bazillion Italian places. Great before-the-show place."

  • "After dining at the Havana Central at the Ridge Hill Mall in Yonkers, I was eager to return but I live in Manhattan. I was happy to find this Havana Central in Manhattan. Yes, it's in the heart of Times Square are, yes it's very noisy and crowded but the staff was friendly and responsive, if not attentive. And best of all, the food was just as good as the food at Ridge Hill."

  • "This is one of the best Cuban restaurants in midtown. The food has great authentic cuban flavor and the cocktails are totally on point. I've been here several times and I would highly recommend the Seafood Paella and the Grilled Salmon with the Mango Slaw. The Mojito's are very tasty and the Caipirinha's are the truth! Our waiter Edwin was a perfect gentleman and his service was awesome. The scene is very lively which makes for a great spot for girls night out or for celebrating a special event such as birthdays or anniversary's. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for great food, drinks and atmosphere!"

  • "This time I was disappointed [this was the only time so far]. My son and I ordered the meat grill consisting of pork chop, steak, chicken, chorizo, fried yucca. Everything on the hot plate was burnt on the bottom."

  • "Havana Central (Times Square) never fails to please; the food is always great, service is courteous and friendly and there is always the right level of buzz to give it that New York feel."

  • "Wonderful -- thank you!! Delicious food. Literally everything on the menu was appealing. Lobster stuffed avocado appetizers were outstanding."

  • "It's pretty hard to find a place that isn't a tourist trap in Times Square but Havana has always tried to step outside the line. Those of us who work in midtown and have to find places to eat out appreciate the effort!"

  • "The Monfongo with Pernil is excellent. Accompanied with their fully white rice and red beans, all I have to say is was "Delicioso!""
    Dined on 6/24/2014
  • "Drinks OK but expensive . Black beans and rice dry and tasteless . Noise (at 7:0o P M on a Monday night) made it impossible to talk. Many other good places to go"
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "I ordered the Ropa Vieja mofongo and it was delicious!"
    Dined on 6/23/2014
  • "The place needs some major renovations. Totally felt like I was in the "hood". I decided to have lunch at Havana Central w/some collegues from out of town, as it was centrally located. Major mistake - the food tasted like it had been sitting around for hours before they served it to us. There are not many options on the menu, and the options available are not appetizing. Next time my collegues are requesting Cuban food, we'll head over to Victor's Cafe or Son Cubano!"

  • "I've been to this Havana Central, many, many times and at different times of different days of the week. This was my first time there on Sunday. It was considerably crowded for 5 PM. Our waiter was a little short and we ordered the sangria at the table, which is always delicious and comes with a nice presentation, but he threw it together, dripping it all over the floor, stirring it with a stirrer he took out of one of the glasses, instead of the normal big spoon. The food was good, as always, but I was disappointed since I brought a friend who had never been there and I had raved about the place. It also felt like our food was rushed out to us and they were constantly hovering to remove plates and clear the table. Overbooking reservations?"
    Dined on 6/22/2014
  • "Great Atmosphere! Good Food! It's like stepping out of New York and into a busy Cuban Restaurant/Club like you see in the movies. I always go there before catching a play. The SANGRIA made right at your table is excellent. The food is good and the staff has always been nice and attentive."

  • "WHETHER YOU LIVE IN NYC OR JUST VISITING HAVANA CENTRAL IS A MUST DO!!! COCONUT MOJITOS ROCK!!!"
    Dined on 6/21/2014
  • "Service was decent..noise level was very obtrusive..worst though was the food. Pernil (Roast Pork), was very dry and stringy..Lobster Salad tasted like it came out of a can..Paella was unseasoned. All in all, a disppointing experience."

  • "We had 12noon reservations pre theater matinee. Restaurant is across from our hotel-The Muse-so convenient! Food was great! Empanadas were all excellent as were the Cuban sandwich and the grilled shrimp salad! Dressing was tangy and light. Tres Leches was the perfect ending! Liked the vibe and atmosphere and wait staff was very attentive. We will most definitely come back again."
