The server food a very long time to take our orders and then when our food did finally come it some was barely warm and some was scorching hot. The taste of the food collectively around the table was decidedly "bland" and "eh." Would not eat here again, would only stick to drinks."

  • "A group of us from work met here when one of our members came in from out of town. The bartender let us know that if we ordered our drinks before 6 PM there were several Happy Hour specials, so we ordered and hung out waiting for the group to gather. One member let us know he was tied up in a meeting but the staff happily seated us anyway. We ordered appetizers as a stall tactic, and the server was great about refreshing water & other beverages while we waited. The staff never made us feel rushed. We eventually ordered for our remaining member and the server timed the delivery with his arrival perfectly. Overall a lot of fun and we appreciated their patience! The food was quite good, too!"

  • "When you book in a place called "Havana-Cabana" means that you are looking for mainly three things: Real Latin-America music, meat that d taste like "ropa vieja" and at list a menu in Spanish. Although the place is beautiful, the waiter didn't know Spanish, the musicians were one, fake cuban old stile like-Sicilian man, who didn't know ANY salsa, and was playing a sort of flameco some other fake rythms, unable to get the crow on their feet. The pork-rice and beans with pineapple were interesting, the rice &beans were uncooked and tate-less, my stomach still recall the meat. I can tell it wasn't a latin cook. The stuffwere kind so we ended up having a nice evening, but there is still a lot of work to do. Muchos èxitos!"

There were 4 of us so we each ordered a different appetizer so we can try a little of everything and then each got the fish tacos' I cannot say enough about the service, our waitress/server was AWESOME"

The food was disgusting I could not even cut into my steak with a steak knife the cut of meat had to be lower then fast food grade D meat and the rice was under cooked. my sister and I literally had two bites of our meal and we were ready to go. When the manager came over she had a very nonchalant attitude and didn't offer anything she was just concerned with the fact that we didn't eat the meal and was upset the we didn't like it and did not want to take it with us. What a waist of $75......."

  • "My fiancé loved the beef tournedos!! I went SPECIFICALLY for the all you can eat crab legs! It cost $25 and after my first plate of all you can eat crab legs for $25 I was told they were sold out! They should have said that when I placed order or at least tell me they are running low. The special is from 4-10 and by 8pm the crab legs were gone! Many customers were VERY upset. They need to make sure the supply meets the demand! The crab legs were good though!....the 2 clusters I had"

  • "This was our first time attending the Havana Cabana. We loved the food, and the atmosphere. The service wasn't the best, but we are definitely willing to come back again. Our server was knowledgeable, yet got our drink order wrong, and had trouble cashing out our bill. On the whole, the Havana Cabana was a fun filled place with great food. We had an awesome evening, aside from the service concerns."

  • "Our first visit was on a chilly Friday night - got the table right in front of the fireplace so that was nice. We drank Sangrias and nibbled on plantain chips that came with a smokey salsa. I had the key west chicken which was very good - the cracker crumb coating on the rolled chicken breast was not over-powering and added just the right amount of crunch - served on a bed of sautéed greens and beans and rice - perfectly seasoned and cooked - I really enjoyed this dish. Husband had the flank steak which was served on a bed of greens and had a melted cheese cream sauce - he also enjoyed his entrée. For dessert we shared the coconut flan that failed to ignite but tasted great! Service was awesome. Highly recommend."

  • "First time here. I made reservation for brunch on Mother's Day. The service and the food we're both outstanding. I had the Cuban omelet, and my husband the Cuban sandwich, which was so big he brought home half and had it for lunch the next day. My mother-in-law had the Bananas Foster French toast that she loved. The plantain chips were a nice touch to that and the sandwich. We said we'd definitely come back for dinner and want to sit outside on their patio. Our server was great and we also met the owner that checked on us a couple times. We were entertained as well with some live music by a duo who set up in front of the fireplace as was just the right volume. All 4 of us were very impressed. "

  • "Havana Cabana has a lot of potential! The portions are large so be prepared to take home a box and eat a second full meal at home. The food is very good, but lacking in some spices. The service was just ok. Our server had a hard time understanding our questions or answering them if they were off script. She just didn't seem very adept. The upstairs room for very dark and we had to ask to have the lights turned up and the speaker was right by our table and so loud we couldn't hear each other. That said, these are all small changes that could make a huge difference and despite the issues I would give it another try. "

  • "We had Easter Brunch at Havana Cabana and the menu was very imaginative with a full of items. The myriad drinks available were fun to read through and the bartenders have an in-depth knowledge of their offerings - especially rum. If you go, definitely start your meal with a rum flight. It sets the mood for fun, you learn new things about rum and the bartenders can help you decide which rums to try. The blue crab avocado appetizer was fresh, light, and perfect for brunch (although I would eat it anytime). I only wish there was a bit more fried plantain on the plate as I used it as the utensil to spoon the crab into my mouth. Great flavor / texture combo. The seafood omelet was rich without being heavy and the interior full of seafood. "

  • "Finally, a Cuban restaurant in Rochester. The staff here are great. Friendly, accommodating and positive about their restaurant. Nice roomy bar. The cocktail list is extensive with rum drinks. The sangria is very good. Food was good. At an earlier occasion had the brunch menu and loved the food. Enjoy the seats in the back where we could see the action and music. This time we were seated upstairs to the front of the building. It was too dark. Still a little new, but will definitely return."
