Had a perfect table at beach edge of restaurant. Had 6:00 pm reservations which was perfect to watch the sunset. Each ordered different fish and followed waiter's recommendations. You sit on a shaded outdoor patio that has hau trees for shade. You have a beautiful beach view of the San Souci ( without care) beach. These are the same trees that have been here for over one hundred years and were on the porch of a royal Hawaiian beach home decades ago. We both had the furikake ahi sandwich with a fresh pineapple side. That is the best grilled ahi (tuna) sandwich I have had anywhere in the world.

Situated right on the beach with the beautiful Hau tree above your head it's a wonderful way to start the day. The Eggs Benedict comes in several variations each one delicious. The poi pancakes with coconut syrup are outstanding and the corned beef hash is the best. This one hit the mark! As the sun set, our table gave us a perfect view overlooking Ka'amina Beach. There were 5 of 6 choices in their fresh fish with 4 different choices in preparations and flavorings. Not set in one of the newest fancier hotels, we found this hidden gem a better bargain, less touristy, better service and incomparable to most. Desserts were the let down. Almost store bought quality, suggest an alternate in this department. Definitely will return for dinner! From Jay's warm and cordial welcoming to the excellent service provided by Alan, our dining experience was simply the best we've ever had. That is saying a LOT for two people who have had a decade and more working in the food and hospitality industries.
If you have a bucket list, you need to add Hau Tree Lanai to the top of it; If you don't

Eggs Benedict is their specialty and all three of us had that. Two vegie versions and one regular. All good. The vegie comes with a fruit side and the regular comes with home fries. We ordered plantation iced tea which was awesome. I didn't see it on the menu. We shared a short stack of poi (taro) pancakes which were very tasty. This kind of put us over the top as portions are pretty big. It was rainy this day so we were inside but you could still see the ocean.
