I had the greens salad and the swordfish off the lighter fare menu and both were very fresh and tasty. My bf had the pasta small plate to start and the hanger steak for his entree, both items were cooked perfectly. To finish the meal we had the bread pudding which is worth a trip to Harvest in it itself. I also wanted to mention our server was wonderful. I think that contributed to the loudness in the restaurant (The first words to my wife were "its loud in here" to which she responded ("What?!")). The Pan Seared Foie Gras was a must get. Their dishes are well balanced and always executed well. We had the halibut with aspargus and the filet with the morels. Both entrees were cooked perfectly. The halibut was tender and flaky. And the brown butter hollandaise sauce was fantastic, it was like caramel without the sweetness. The ambiance was lovely, and the service attentive and gracious. The main courses were very nicely presented and cooked to order - however, the menu selections for main courses were a bit scarce. Portion sizes were generous - and desserts (while wonderful looking at the next table) were huge! In this day and age - perhaps slightly smaller portions would be appreciated by many diners - but all and all - one certainly gets one's money's worth.

My wife is a vegetarian and can often have difficulty finding good options (she's had more pasta primaveras than you can shake a stick at, and is always looking for something a little more invigorating). This time around she had the fennel soup and the riccotta gnudi, and I had the special which was opah fish. Both of our meals were simply divine. Everything was marvelously prepared and plated, and the server did an excellent job of attending to our questions and needs. Flavors were well balanced and sophisticated. The atmosphere is very calming and engaging at Harvest, too. The hangar steaks were cooked to order and tender. A number of the diners, like us, had just come from the St Louis Symphony, including the Conductor. The cocktail menu features fun twists on classics, there's an extensive wine list, and the various appetizers will tempt you to get more than one. Of course, for dessert, the bread pudding must not be missed!
