Impressive first experience at this restaurant. We dined outside, which was perfect for early fall. The server was attentive and explained the farm-to-table concept as well as the new season's menu offerings. There were a number of gluten-free, as well as low calorie options. Although we didn't have alcoholic beverages, there are ample choices on an extensive wine list. The food was well prepared, delicious, and the menu is very creative. Save room for the petite desserts!

Wine list is misleading and very overpriced. Three people ordered a glass of wine expecting the price to be the $7-8 price range as listed on the menu. When the bill came each glass was $13.00. We could not tell by the volume in the glass that it was a larger size. Our group would not order wine again.

We brought an out of town guest to this location as they have vegan and veggie options, as our guest requires. It was delicious. Hummus, spicy tofu, swordfish, and scallops followed by mini desserts. Yum! The place is comfortable with great lighting. It truly pleases the eye. My only constructive criticism would be the noice and set up of the tables. The booths are great as they are up against the wall. But the middle of the restaurant has tables smooshed rather close. You cannot even get up out of your chair without putting your rear in someone's face. Not so appetizing. And because of the set up, it's super loud in there. Do not recommend if you are hard of hearing or highly prefer a more quiet setting.

The main room was excessively noisy. Fortunately, when we arrived for our reservation, we were placed in the back (and less than half-filled) room. The food was excellent. The server was excellent, though hard to locate as most of her tables were in the large room. The only complaint we had was the charge of $11 for a Stoli vodka, which was excessive. (I order this all the time and seldom...other than in New York...get charged that much. We'll be back...but maybe try well vodka next visit.

Have dined at HarvestGrill many times and always had good service and food. This time our waiter had an attitude. Our friends had never eaten there before and Di not get a good first impression. Our friend's wife has a medical condition and has food restrictions as a result. The waiter asked her she was allergic to those foods in a surly way. My husband and I shared a salad which was not split in the kitchen. When I asked for an another plate for the salad the waiter pointed to the bread plate and said "use that". The food was good, but the server made the meal less pleasant.

Heard this place was "fabulous" and was compared to First Farmers in DC. As healthy eaters, we appreciated the health conscious menu with local organic products, but it is nothing like First Farmers. We anticipated leaving satiated, having a house infused fruit cocktail (not muddled at the bar on the spot), and being able to hear each other talk. The food was "good", but not great, portions were very small for the price (more like tapas sized with entree price tag), cocktail was "OK", but did not begin to fill the glass when poured from the shaker. Our child said "this is my dinner?" when his small tea cup size of pasta with red sauce was served to him and he left starving because there was no option for protein with that meal.

I went to this restaurant because someone told me about the Duck Eggs Benedict; so that is what I ordered. The hollandaise sauce with horseradish was a nice touch to go with the short ribs under the egg. But, I think the bacon was overkill. Just a little too complicated. I also tried the breakfast flatbread which I thought was good, but felt like the balance of flavors was a little off. The desserts were adorable and tasty. I would say the food here is very good - and there is still room for improvement. Service and ambience were both great. It's a pleasant experience overall.

We were seated outside, but after about 20 minutes no one had come to our table - after a complaint, the waitress came out to apologize profusely because the hostess who seated us failed to tell her we were outside, so she then provided us with a complimentary flatbread, which was delicious. After we ordered, the hostess came out to also apologize and provided us with a coupon for a free dessert, so we knew that they were really sorry about ignoring us. My husband's short rib dinner was excellent and my eggplant sandwich was tasty, but had too much roll for the amount of filling. The dessert was also excellent. INside seemed kind of noisy, so we were happy to be outside despite the long wait.

This was my first dinner but third time at the restaurant. It has an awesome wine list and the servers are very knowledgable and helpful in choosing a wine. My impression each time has been that the restaurant needs to describe its food accurately. I ordered a salad with crab cake, bibb lettuce, roasted corn and avocado. What arrived at my table was a plate with a GIANT pile of spring mix, one bibb lettuce leaf at the bottom, a 1/4" slice of avocado and 7 (Yes I counted them) corn kernels that were not roasted. My friend also had this salad and she had 11 corn kernels. When we said something, our waiter brought us additional corn - also not roasted. The crab cake was good but not amazing and very small.

Went there for my birthday dinner with family. Included an 8 year old and 2-1/2 year old. The waiter was fantastic with them. Food was very good, although my chicken breast was a bit overcooked. For our party of eight they seated us in the front window. Facing west, it was a bit sunny. Would have preferred something more interior, but I don't think they can arrange that. Really like the use of local produce and meats.

Enjoyed the food. I thought my salad with the crab cake was overpriced as the salad itself had nothing except mixed greens and very basic vegetables but the crab cake addition was quite tasty. The dessert I had, the chocolate ship cookie version, was pleasant but the presentation seems to be a direct copy of the competition's and not as well executed.
