Dined with friend this past Saturday night. We all enjoyed sharing a couple of delicious apps, a bottle of wine, flavorful entrees (we all got something different) dessert and very friendly service! I have read other reviews indicating portions are too small but I did not find that to be the case at all. Portions were not overwhelmingly large but we all had plenty. Personally, I could have skipped dessert as I was full but gave into peer pressure! I will certainly go back and very excited to gave such a great place close to home!

  • Seating in the back room completely
    OpenTable Diner Since 2010

Seating in the back room completely separates you from the restaurant "vibe" and you feel like a "second class" citizen. Additionally, the staff and kitchen seems completely overhwhelmed with the size of the croud and not capable of keeping up with the orders even though our seating was early in the evening before a traditional busy time. To the credit of the management, our disatisfaction was recognized by the leadership and they took appropriate action to try and rectify a difficult situation. This showed good leadership and should be complemented. Hopefully, they have learned by this experience, and future diners will benefit by improvements. We would be interested in trying the restuarant again in the future.

Food here was very tasty - very fresh and the farm to market concept is always a winner. The wine list was great but my wife and I had a hard time looking past the seasonal cocktails which were tasty. One food comment is it is one of those restaurants where the portions very small for the price and leaned on the exceptional quality.

Food was pretty good, wine list was nice; but for a Tuesday night dinner with the family, the pricetag was wayyyy too high. Not sure we'll be coming back anytime soon. Seems the food is better and the check is easier to swallow 15 miles away at Seasons 52, instead of right here in our own backyard. Bummer.

We decided to try this restaurant on a whim. Arriving 30 minutes earlier than our reservation, we were seated immediately. Our server, Joseph was one of the best I have ever experienced. His timing was perfect; he was neither intrusive nor absent. The menu was varied enough without being overwhelming. The food was elegant and prepared with simple ingredients. Interesting restaurant - we'll be back to eat the entire right side of the menu next time.

We were seated promptly even though we were a few minutes early for our reservation. We sat for about 7 minutes before anyone came to our table. A waiter came over and asked if anyone had come over to our table yet. He took our drink order and about 5 minutes later our server came to our table with our drinks. Our appetizer, pear flatbread, appeared quickly and disappeared quickly because it was so good. Our entrees came, a pork tenderloin and harvest moon chicken. The portions were perfect and the food was fresh, properly cooked and delicious. I had to ask for water and glasses were never refilled. Empty plates sat on the table for about 10 minutes. We ordered desserts and waited 12 minutes for our check.

the noise level was high. Could not hear each other speak. Food was good but very overpriced for the amount you got. The under 500 calories concept is good, but the restaurant they copied from, Seasons 52, does it and it looks like you are getting a nice portion. Service was fair. Need to work on their portions and we may go back.

The ambiance was warm and inviting with stone walls and fireplaces. The goat cheese and the flat bread appetizers were delicious; however, we could have used more bread as they only give 5 very very thin slices for 3 people. The chicken dishes 2 of us ordered were moist and flavorful and the beef dish another diner had was good as well with tasty mashed potatoes. The portions are small, but the food is delicious and well-prepared. This is a good place for a special occasion.

On Saturday, the Harvest Grill appeared overbooked. Personnel checking reservations seemed to be overwhelmed. Many people standing in the very small entrance. Small portions seemed not to fit the entree cost. Restaurant has a nice appearance but they need to get more organized and revisit the menu.

Portions are small- hence the under 500 calorie pitch) but prices are big. Food tastes fine- nothing exceptional. The puzzling presentation is "huge plates with a small indented area for the food"- this makes the portion seem even smaller than it is! Too noisy to talk on a Fri night. The kitchen also got one order wrong- it can happen- but it only added to the feeling that this meal just wasn't worth the price.

I was disappointed, as I had been given a favorable recommendation by a friend. The tables were so close together that we were forced to endure the very loud and frequent laughter and high pitched voices of the people seated no more than 1 foot away. Service was spotty; we had to wait for everything and asked numerous times for bread before it was served (we were never asked if we needed more). The food was tasty and appearance was good but portions were small for the price. Overall: average

This is my first time at Harvest and both me and my colleague loved it. We signed up for the loyalty club and have vowed to come back once or twice a week while we are in the area for work. Definitely excited to try almost everything on the menu! Make sure you hold out for a little dessert at the end. Yummy salted caramel!

The food, service, and ambience were very nice. Mashed potatoes and veggies were ice cold, though. However, the noise level was over the top. I was with my husband and two friends and we had to almost keep shouting to each other across the table to hear conversation. By the time we were leaving I had two ear aches. I'd go back for the food but not for the unacceptable noise level. Too bad. Everything else was good and the restaurant is only minutes from my house.

We had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation time. We went to the bar but it was so crowded we couldn't get a drink while we waited. No worry though we were seated and had our cocktail at the table. The food was great, portions are not large so if you have a any big eaters in your group be sure to order apps/salad and/or sides. On a Friday night the noise level was too loud for meaningful conversation. Overall we liked it very much and will definitely return.

My family went to Harvest on a Friday evening- we had reservations for 5:45 and were seated immediately. The food was very good but as we were finishing our dinners, a large crowd of people were waiting for tables in the bar area near us. I was repeatedly bumped into and jostled while trying to finish my food and we were hurried along by the wait staff although we had only been dining for an hour. The food was good enough that I will try Harvest again but the tables need to be more protected from people waiting.

First time at this restaurant. If you have ever been to a Seasons 52, then I can tell you that Seasons 52's food and atmosphere is better. At Harvest, they squeezed 6 of us in a both (for real?!?). And yes- I made a reservation for this place weeks ago. It also took them 30 minutes to bring out our drinks. We were already done our apps by the time they can with the drinks I have to say that the staff that we felt with were sweet and professional.

I was hesitant when I read reviews about the small portion sizes, but I couldn't resist checking out Harvest, and I'm glad I did. The place itself has a great vibe, and the bar looks great (I'll definitely be checking that out in the future). Our server was super attentive, familiar with the menu, and made great recommendations. And the most important part - the food was delicious!! I would definitely recommend the Asian skewers, 5 spiced duck, and Coq Au Vin for any future diners. I do recommend that you order one more appetizer then you would normally when going out to eat - our party of two split on appetizer and had our own entrees, yet I was not completely full by the end of our meal (maybe I should've tried one of the desserts!).

We were very satisfied with our recent meals at Harvest. The menu is seasonal and creative not to mention delicious! There has been "talk" that the portions are small vs. the price; however, as Americans, it's unfortunate that we have become accustomed to receiving huge portions as an entree. Harvest advertises that their entrees are 500 calories or less; therefore, the portions received are in balance with a healthy diet yet you are not left feeling deprived. Our waiters were very knowledgeable about the wines offered and were helpful in selecting a wine to our liking. Highly recommend!

Great to see a menu that is chef driven, creative, and offers variety while also being healthy in this area. I have been waiting for something like this forever. Typically have to travel far for something similar. Plenty of failed attempts in the area that either lack culinary talent to execute properly, or fail to deliver in service standards. Based on my first visit they were able to do both. I certainly hope they continue to. The decor/environment is also great, very warm and not pretentious, comfortable, yet still modern and classy. Server was knowledgeable about the menu and knew how to be available but not obtrusive. Great timing and spot on anticipation of our needs.

Harvest- a little corner of culinary excellence in Montgomery County. Outstanding ingredients, well prepared and presented in well executed plates all contribute to a lovely evening out or to a great location for a business lunch. Flattering lighting, comfortable seating and a warm atmosphere make the dining experience friendly but elegant. The missing ingredient is service that matches the food. While the waitstaff and management are friendly, they lack the finesse deserving of this menu and its prices. A little more instruction in the art of hospitality would serve to cement Harvest as a casually elegant cafe/grill with creative cuisine, thoughtfully prepared, perfect for friends, business or special occasion dining.

My husband and I met up with friends for a night out. Our table was ready when we walked in the door. Our server was a little busy, but two other servers got us drinks and offered to get us whatever we needed while we were waiting. Once the server got to our table, things went very smoothly. Our food came quickly and was outstanding. The dessert selection was limited and small in size, but it was just enough to satisfy my sweet tooth. I recommend making a reservation on the weekend as the place was packed and a line had formed out the door by the time we left.

New décor is awesome and the servers are nice enough but the vote is still out. Repeat experience on 2 visits. Despite reservation, we were kept waiting in a crowded space. If you like to linger at the bar and drink you will be fine but for the rest of us plan to wait a long time. The food is good and fresh but the size of a lean cuisine. Fill up on flatbreads and enjoy a dessert. If you are avoiding carbs beware. Smaller than a fist size protein source and lack of veggies will leave you hungry. My chicken actually came with 2 brussel sprouts cut in half as the vegetable. The waiter claimed small portions keep the calories down. I vote to grow the portions or cut the prices and call them small plates since that is exactly what they are.
