  • "Really good food in wonderful location on the river overlooking the Palisades."

  • "Lots of referrals to this restaurant so we were looking forward to a special evening. Too bad that the only positive thing to take away from the day was the scenery. Service and food were lacking."

  • "Harvest on Hudson is in an excellent location -- on the Hudson River -- at Hastings, NY., in a beautiful building surrounded by huge sunflowers. The restaurant is stunning. On a summer evening, candlelit tables are nestled outdoors under umbrellas with lighted paths among herb and vegetable plants used in the meal preparation of a lovingly Italian menu. It's a perfect place for a special occasion of any kind. Buon appetito! bjmtrio NYC"

  • "This is the 2nd time I have dined at Harvest on Hudson, and my overall impressions are the same. It is a lovely restaurant with an absolutely beautiful view of the river. The gardens and outdoor seating area (where I dined on this last visit) are stunning. The service, while not excellent, was friendly and capable. However, the food, as in my last visit, just didn't measure up to the ambiance. My date had (Brodetto dell’ Adriatico) a version of an Italian fish stew; shrimp were overcooked and it was filled with more mussels than anything else. I had salmon which was overcooked. The Tiramisu was very good. So, overall - a wonderful place to dine in the summer season but don't expect much from the food."

  • "The entire staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The food was well prepared and tasty. Great view, quiet. Matches any classy Manhattan restaurant!"

  • "The view is yummy, love being able to see the ships and sailboats from your table. And the food is delicious, really well thought out menu using local ingredients and the wine list has a lot of variety. And the ambiance is yummy, tables not too close and you have a river view from every table. Also, love the "kitchen" garden that you can roam through before or after your meal. Go, you'll love it. And Nick, our waiter, knew the menu and the wine list and could not have been nicer."

  • "WHAT COULD BE MORE EXCITING THEN HAVING A PEACEFULL LUNCH ON THE HUDSON OVERLOOKING THE GWB AND THE NEW JERSEY PALISADES. JUST A SHORT DRIVE FROM NEW YORK"

  • "Great food, great service and a wonderful view. You can't go wrong!"

  • "Beautiful ambience inside and out. Great service, really good food."

  • "It was good, but I was there with a group. I had requested separate checks prior, and they best they could come up with was two checks. Not sure I will be back. It not like we ordered apps, or anything crazy. They could have accommodated us, other places have. Food was ok, service was average, scene was amazing."

  • "Harvest-on-Hudson is a gem, a beautiful restaurant in a beautiful setting, The service is excellent and receptionists and wait staff are friendly, warm, and helpful. We have been here many times with friends and family, and always been delighted with everything we ordered from appetizers to dessert. However this time, with relatives from out-of-town, we were disappointed with some of the food, especially vegetable side dishes which were too salty to eat. Our guests quietly left most of their food untouched, disappointed but not wanting to embarrass us by complaining or making a fuss in such a beautiful place. Fortunately the rest of the evening was terrific and our guests were very gracious about their disappointing dinner selections."

  • "Brunch on Friday was the first time my wife and I have dined at Harvest on the Hudson. We were aware of it, and recently read a review of the restaurant in the NY Times. It more than lived up to our expectations. We were seated at an outdoor table with a perfect view of the river and the Palisades. That set the tone for a delightful, leisurely brunch of superb food and cocktails. Most notable was the cod, prepared in a delicious sauce. My sausage pasta was equally enjoyable, as was the refreshing summer salads (endive and arugula) my wife and I ordered to begin with. Service was excellent. The staff was attentive without hovering over us. After brunch we strolled through the garden and lounged by the river before returning home."

  • "I was a bit disappointed by the (lack of) view. I expected more, I guess. But the food was good...not fantastic...but good."

  • "Nothing is better than dining outside at the Harvest on Hudson-- great food, great wine, glorious views and stunning sunflowers."

  • "Table of 4 for dinner and drinks. The views of the Hudson and the service was terrific. We ordered the Pizza (Fig & Goat Cheese) for the table as a starter, which was great. The main course not so much. The pork tenderloin was a little tough, but the pasta ragut was good. The wine list is very extensive, but did not have the wine that was listed. Settled on another bottle. Would definitely go back for a do-over."

  • "A restaurant that's got everything....great location, not a bad table inside or outside, knowledgable wait staff and superb food! Oh yes....knowledgable from spirits to wine selections! Did I mention the desserts.....terrific!"

  • "As always. a great lunch with my wife. She found this place while driving around the area and we have been there several times. Dinner or lunch , food is great, service is great. I/ we have nothing to complain about. we try to make a lunch date every summer when my wife is off work. Thank You Harvest, you did another great job."

  • "Harvest on Hudson was everything we expected. Dined there with 9 people on Saturday 08/02. First time there and it was fantastic. Our large group was celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. They got us a table outside, with views of the Hudson river and a great sunset. The location is superb, the food was great, service was great. The sommelier directed us to a great bottle of red burgundy at a reasonable price. The outise garden lends the opportunity to have a bigger event. Looking forward to going back. Overall, a great night and we'll definitely return."

  • "picked my former favorite place to spend my birthday dinner with 3 great friends. Service was fair, took over 15 minutes to get drinks. food was so so, have eaten here many times thru the years it first opened. this was the worst visit. not sure if I could recommend it to friends. tea and coffee arrived so much after desert that we had to take it to go. had train to catch"

  • "We enjoyed the tasting menu and salad. The panacota was amazing as was the service. We had a great time."

  • "Waitress was not accomodating and appeared annoyed with any questions about the menu........tuna panini was 99%mayo and 1% tuna.......really awful!"

  • "When my husband and I drove up to the restaurant, I was greeted by the dumpster filled with garbage. Not quite the picturesque scene I envisioned. surprised that there was no valet to park the car. The garden was quite beautiful and our table was nice but I would hv preferred to be away from the loud screeching sound of the train. The waiter was very friendly but didn't know if the fish was wild caught or not and didn't explain what some some of the items on the menu were. But he was very personable. The food took a long time to come to the table but when it finally did, it was very tasty and hot. My cod was a bit small for the hefty price. Overall, it's a beautiful place. Would I come back, maybe."

  • "The entire experience, as many times before, was excellent. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the service throughout was excellent, and the quality and quantity of dishes was well chosen. This is a very good bet for a very fine evening out. Get there early if you wish to sit outside on their terrace facing the Hudson as that is first come first served."

  • "Specials was no longer available, next our wives order a fish special that was to be filleted they brought the whole fish and our waiter and the bus boy began to fillet the fish next to the table and served to our wives and said be careful there may be bones in the fish, the waiter told us that the chief was too busy to fillet our fish dinners and that was the way it was. The manager who was helpful but somewhat condescending he did take the uneatable dinners off the bill. The way we were treated by what I thought was a fine restaurant with excellent service, was absolutely awful!"

  • "Harvest on the Hudson is one of my favorite dining venues. It is scenic and beautiful both inside and out. The food has changed as the menu and I don't know if I just ordered wrong or if it is changed. The burrata appetizer was delicious, pork tenderloin good, the sea bass and shell fish all over cooked and the broth was tasteless. Been here so many times and this was the first time that I can not give it a perfect rating. Service was slow but the staff apologized for it, it was extremely crowded that night."

  • "The only thing going for this place is the view. It's old and crowded and loud AND THE FOOD IS TERRIBLE!!!"

  • "I read a few negative comments about Harvest but I decided to try it for myself. I went for price fixed lunch on a Friday. The food was good but not enough, the octopus entrée which I paid $14 was not worth the price. It was sliced very thin and maybe (5) pieces. My wife's frittata looked like it was one scrambled egg cut in half with a few pieces of lettuce. I asked if they had seafood and the waitress said they only had codfish, it was also a very small piece. She seemed bored and only once did she stop by to ask how we were doing. I had to ask another waitress for another glass of wine. The person that cleaned off the plates, brought the water and coffee deserved the tip, she was great!! She always checked on us. Only ambience, period."

  • "A shame beautiful place. Great food. But service is inexcusable BAD. Management should really train its wait staff and really improve their Service. Food very slow coming out of kitchen then poorly served Took forever to get a martini, order, etc.... Just not professional when food is terrific and so is view D"

  • "The food was good, but I felt the choices for seafood dishes could have been more varied. The desserts were excellent and the wine was good. Overall the experience was good. The jazz made the evening special. The setting on the Hudson River was beautiful. Well prepared dishes."

  • "Food has greatly improved since my last visit leading me to believe they have a new chef. The waiter confirmed my suspicion by saying " I don't know how we got him". I hope they can keep him ( the chef ) for awhile. Overall very good and while the service is well meaning it is a little fought around the edges."

  • "I took my father for his birthday. We each had EXCEPTIONAL pasta dishes, and the dessert options were unique and beyond delicious. Harvest on the Hudson has a menu that is delicious and the flavors are vibrant. Our waitress and the manager were professional and personal. They were friendly and fun. Highly recommend."

  • "If you are going to charge 110 for a porterhouse steak for two, it should have some flavor not Dry. The food had to be some of worst food I have tasted at an upscale restaurant. The only good thing was the view."

  • "Harvest on Hudson is a great choice for dining when you want a beautiful Vista in addition to delicious food. It's pricey! But worth it. Make sure to stroll their small garden by the entrance."
