  • "Although portion of sweet potato hummus sandwich was large, I couldn't eat much because of the level of heat. I ordered it with the greens. I also ordered the cookie with candied bacon. The cookie was very hard and the dessert was not very good. My friend ordered vegetarian pizza. It was OK. I also had to ask waitress for a copy of the bill after she ran the credit card."

  • "We were in town for a conference and had decided to have dinner together one evening. I looked online and found this place and it totally lived up to what was said. The service was amazing , the team there worked together and we were never without anything!! The service wasn't overbearing just perfect. Food was soo soo great! I live in Atlanta and there are a lot if great restaurants there - Harvest would be a great fit. The host called us a cab - we had to get two . The first group if our party got into their cab and left but we were still waiting - the host apologized for our wait and called another . Great Food and Service."

Food was excellent (the Burgoo is burgood!), tried and true cocktails had their own pizazz, waitress and waitstaff were so accommodating, helpful, and made us feel at home. Highly recommend."

  • "My husband and I were in Louisville for the first time and we overheard how great this restaurant was. We made reservations just in case and were seated promptly. The service was fantastic.... The waitress was the best! Our meal was great!!! The waitress helped us with deciding what we should try since this was our first visit. The atmosphere was nice...one of the owners actually took the time to talk to us and tell us how the restaurant came to be. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area."

Waitress was extremely kind and knowledgable, and wished us happy anniversary without our prompting her to say something (put it in the notes on the reservation). They made the night really special. And the food was the best we've had in Louisville after trying many of the top/highest rated places. Harvest burger is amazing if you want the best burger ever and the Burgoo for those with lighter appetites. Go to Harvest!"

  • "My wife and i stopped for brunch on the way out of town for a quick weekend to Louisville. Harvest was amazing! Both of us were really pleased with our entrees, although my wife's brioch french toast was way more than she could eat. We enjoyed mimosas with our meal and they were well made also. The service was efficient, and the staff knew a lot about the menu and was able to answer questions easily. We will definitely return on our next trip to Louisville!"

  • "Very cute place. Small but diverse menu. Huge bourbon list and full bar. Only complaint: for being an in-house and foodie place, the waitress (and kitchen) were very particular about substitutions and changes to the meals. What kind of brunch place doesn't let you choose how you want your eggs prepared? I would not bring my kids here. For many reasons, but their in-house ketchup doesnt even resemble ketchup. All that said, I would go back- my party of 5 did enjoy everything esp. the ambience. Just trying to give you an idea of the place."

The owner came by the table to tell us about the restaurant and ask how everything was. All the food comes from the local farms not more than 100 miles from Louisville. The service was A+. It was a Saturday and the restaurant was packed,"

  • "We were looking forward to visiting Louisville and dining at Harvest. Unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. I ordered a burger with chips and seasonal veggies. What came was a burger and THREE shriveled (pickled) green beans. I asked the waitress where the rest of the meal was and she became very defensive. She said I misunderstood the menu and the green beans were a relish, like a pickle. She said she would talk to her manager about it. Then she went to another table, came back. She obviously didn't talk to a manager; we could see where she went! I thought that was rude to be so untruthful. The burger was fine, but I don't know anyone who eats just red meat for a meal. The prices were outrageous too! $60 for 2 people."

  • "I loved this restaurant. We had reservations on a Saturday night and we got sat right away. The cheese board and sweet potato hummus were delicious. They have a great local beer list. One of the owners came over and talked to us and you could see him making the rounds talking to other guests. Our food was delicious and cooked perfectly. It was our first time there but we will definitely be back!"

The sweet potato hummus with pickled veggies was good, the three-cheese grits were perfect, my friend's grilled white cheddar pimento cheese sandwich is a must have if you're looking for some comfort food, and finally, we ordered the bread plate as an app and the pecan scones were amazing!!!"

  • "We selected Harvest mainly for its vegetarian options, as one in the group is not a carnivore. We ordered several different selections from the menu (which changes with the season) from appetizers, main dishes and desserts. All were very good. They had a tortellini special (filled with kohlrabi and cheese) in a delicious creamy tomato sauce. Would go back. And, the servers were knowledgeable and engaging...love it when the servers engage in a positive way and are helpful."

  • "There are only a few restaurants where I would eat everything on the menu and Harvest is one of them. It was difficult for me to make a choice and that's usually not a problem. My wife had the lamb and that sauce it was on was silly good. For my wife to try something new and become a lamb lover is saying something. I had the grass fed steak because I raise grass fed beef. Tender and smooth with a great natural flavor that beef is supposed to have. Will be returning."

  • "We just went for brunch. It was a fun atmosphere and our group had a great time. We all joined the Clean Plate Club. My wife, who is very picky and a weirdatarian, really enjoyed her croissant and especially the 3 cheese grits. The only problem that I had was the same problem I have with all the restaurants downtown and in that area which is parking. I hate driving around looking for a spot them walking back blocks to get there. The food was good enough for me to pay for a valet service but I don't know if I will come back to deal with parking. If you live down there or don't get easily frustrated like I do then please go and you will enjoy it. There should also be hot chocolate if you serve brunch."

At the suggestion of our waitress, Katie, I had the veggie pizza. It was delicious! Pesto, asiago, tomatoes, spring mix, a light crust. Yum! My date had the "cheeseburger" and loved it."

  • "We enjoyed our evening at Harvest. The only problem was the noise level which made it difficult for us to converse with others at our table. The food was very good, the service prompt. Our waitress seemed to have a limited knowledge of chicken. When I asked if the fried chicken was white meat, she said, mostly, it's an airport cut with a drumstick and white meat around that. Which is an odd description. Great dinner. NO complaints."

And each time we've been in, we've gotten to talk with one of the men or women responsible for growing our food! We had the cheese board and it was a perfect appetizer.   • "I work in hospitality and service is an extremely important factor to me. Walking into the door of Harvest, we were very warmly greeted by the hostess. As my friend and I were seated, our waitress Katie made us feel comfortable as if we had stepped into her house to dine with her. She was knowledgeable of the menu, the way she described the food made every item seem as if it was a "must have". She provided excellent recommendations and was attentive to our needs! Kudos to Katie!! Later the owner came by our table. He talked with us, made us laugh, and also treated us to dessert (which was AMAZING). I can definitely say that I received the best service possible during my time there and will continue to recommend it to everyone I can."

  • "Our experience was excellent, we enjoyed the ambiance of Harvest. We could actually have a conversation in which all of us could be heard by each other - thank you! (Music in most restaurants is much too loud.) Our server was very helpful recommending food items we might like, and we did. Each of us enjoyed our meal, very tasty and the portions were very generous. Our lunches are usually long, as we catch up on all the news, and make plans for other outings, etc. It was a excellent dining experience!!"

  • "We enjoyed our celebration at Harvest. The food was delicious, imaginative, and nothing we would have prepared at home. My wife had a taste for fried chicken, but the twist on this simple staple was wonderful. The N'awlins-inspired shrimp and grits had a shimp cake on a bed of grits, and was likewise delicious. Our picky eater 5 year old devoured the chicken bites from the kids menu, and my wife and I enjoyed the local beer and bourbon selections (and only wished we weren't driving home). Wait staff was attentive but unobtrusive, and when our daughter was signaling that she was ready to leave, they were able to get us out the door quickly. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience."

  • "We went in a group of four for dinner on a lively Friday night. The service was fine, despite the busy night. I never order things like fried chicken, but this one was fantastic--not greasy at all--and it came with a yummy hoecake and some kind of smoky, porky gravy. I about licked the plate clean, and I am usually a salad kind of gal. The appetizers were good but the serving size is pretty miserly for a cheese board (think four cheese cubes) and that's the same with the dessert we had: the fondue. Definitely on the stingy side. But Harvest also makes some great cocktails (sazarac) and all of us were happy with our entrees. My friends got the hamburger, which I was dying to try, and the chicken livers. All in all, a very nice meal."
