We had the broiler oysters, delicious. The hand cut fries, decadent. The heritage pork chop, so good it made my toes curl. The special which was surf and turf, soft shell crab and 4 oz filet, rich and buttery. The sides for both entrees was sautéed kale and cheddar grits. Great accompaniments to the meal. For dessert we split the signature bread pudding, hands down the best bread pudding I have ever tasted. Service was attentive but not pushy. Drinks were unique and strong. It looks like a house from the street. Upon the recommendation of a friend, my wife and I went there for our anniversary. What a great find! The atmosphere is casual to upscale. The service was great, and the food was delicious. It is a nice option that competes well with Moxie and other higher-end restaurants on the east side. Harvest was a fantastic choice for my birthday celebration - the food was yummy, the drinks divine and the wait staff was simply incredible. Now as a long-time soft shell crab lover I have to say that Friday evening's special was, hands down, the BEST soft shell crab I've ever had - anywhere! I liked Harvest so much our first visit and was not as enthusiastic the second time. Our salads arrived dripping in dressing which spoiled the delicate taste. The shrimp and grits appetizer was oversauced to the max as well. I think of sauce as a embellishment and flavor enhancer, not the main dish. But the ceasar salad and ribeye steak were very delicious. A little pricey for me and what I would normally spend on a diner. Otherwise everything was really great but there were only four other tables filled while we were there so hopefully the service would be just as great on a busy packed night. And we heard of this place from 3-4 other friends who ate there and loved it. Our waitress was very attentive and brought everything out split without us asking. I had the Ahi tuna from the menu while the other 3 had a halibut special. However, I was able to eat half of my wife's halibut special. Glad I ate the Ahi first because the Halibut was one of the most flavorful dishes I have ever had. Great texture, flavor, spices, etc. We had been there about a year earlier and had had a wonderful time as well. We all loved every bite. The portions were generous, the drinks were stiff, the wine selection beautiful, service outstanding. The only small complaint is that the table for 4 was too small for 4 and too close to the next table. A great discovery in Solon! What a wonderful restaurant tucked away in Solon. We started with the shrimp and grits and the chorizo and halloumi cheese. Both were outstanding. For entrees we had the roasted wild sockeye salmon and the grilled heritage pork chop. They were two of the best dishes we've ever tasted. What a great use of fresh, seasonal ingredients. Spring peas and fava beans! Our server, Robert was a joy.
