Diner Reviews
  • "Outstanding dinner experience! Stacey guided us to great selections and rounded out a totally enjoyable evening! Looking forward to coming back to try something else on the menu!"

  • "All of the pasta and fish dishes were ordered were very tasty and the waitress we had (Stacy) was excellent."

  • "This was our first visit to Harvest Kitchen & Lounge, and we will certainly be going back. We had a reservation for 2, and wanted to have a drink at the bar before dinner, and then decided to stay at the bar for dinner. Jason was our bartender and waiter, and did an outstanding job - he's knowledge, amiable, and enthusiastic. The food was fantastic, and I can particularly recommend the pork belly appetizer. Really outstanding, and it avoids the heavy fat that so many pork belly dishes focus on, yet at the same time is loaded with flavor. Kudos!"

  • "The season is here and Harvest Kitchen's preparation of soft shell crab is second-to-none. Combined with a pair of sea scallops and mushroom ravioli, the perfectly sauteed crab is incredible."
    Dined on 6/25/2014
  • "My brother and I went for dinner. Service was great! The oysters were very fresh. My wagyu burger with duck egg was terrific! The wine list has great wines by the glass."

  • "I'm a fan! I think I eat here once a week. Never a bad meal. Wonderful!"

  • "Exceptional food. One of the top restaurants in Cleveland."

  • "Never had a Caesar salad in all the times we've been to HK. And haven't had the tuna in quite a long while. Both were fantastic. i'm not an anchovy fan, but whatever kind was in the Caesar? Awesome. Tuna was sushi grade and perfectly seared rare with black rice and curry broth."

  • "Amateur effort from the kitchen. Shrimp & Grits appetizer was so salty, I literally could feel my heart beating heavily after finishing it. Conversely, both entrees (Pork Chop & Boar) were under-seasoned. We sent back my wife's porkchop. It literally had no flavor. The Boar was cooked well but again, had no flavor. It is a crime what they charge for the food as well as the drinks (even the NA selection). The one bright spot of the evening was the ice cream we had at Mitchells afterwards."

  • "Food was great. Service was good. Will definitely go back. Best place in Solon. "

  • "So many great things to choose from, but we particularly love that they label their items as gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian. Having food allergies makes eating out difficult, but having a great restaurant like this makes it a lot easier! I had the halibut with risotto and it was yummy!"

  • "Once again a wonderful meal! Baked Oysters, Sauteed Rapini, Fingerling Potatoes, Rocket Salad, (all gluten-free). My dining companion loved his Pork with Pasta. Best of all Harvest offers gluten-free beer options Bards, Glutenberg, Tweasonale, and Cider! "

  • "Pork belly and Texas wild boar were added to the menu. Great entree and appetizer. "

  • "This restaurant is gem for Solon compared to the revolving chains. It has a number of organic options. Fish is always wild. The appetizers and dinners are well thought out. The menu regularly changes. If you have not gone, you should. "

  • "Three of our four entrees were delicious. The short ribs were a disappointment. Overall, the restaurant experience was quite nice and we are likely to return. "

  • "This was out 3rd time at Harvest. The food is excellent. They offer selections that you won't find at the average restaurant. Our food was well prepared and seasoned. The wait staff is friendly and accommodating. Love the Duck Fat Fries! The Farro Risitto is an excellent side dish. They have something for most tastes. "

  • "When we drove into the lot I had my doubts . it looked like a converted hardware store. We found out it was a converted coffee shop. The menu was a may. It's one that is hard to pick from. We did make a great pick. The food was outstanding. If were ever back in the area we will stop in again. "

  • "The food was too salty. The waitress was too friendly. She asked where we lived, which happened to be where she suppossedly lives. At the end of the meal she said that she would probably see me at 2 stores specifically in the town where we live. She was trying to increase her tip but she was very unprofessional. We were there to eat not to become her friend. One person at our table told the waitress that she had an allergy and asked for the steak to be prepared w/o seasoning. It was prepared w/seasonings, but corrected. The crab legs came without a small fork and a wet napkin. You could not taste the potato in the french fries because of the thick covering of salt. The meal was very over priced. We will not return."

  • "We ordered several appetizers and shared them - they were all delicious. I would make the cesar salad a salad thought....interesting presentation but hard to manage."

  • "Harvest is our new favorite restaurant. This was our second time dining at Harvest and it was even better than the first. We started with a couple of bourbons from their drinks list. For our first course we shared the shrimp & grits and the house made Berkshire bacon. They were both amazing. For our entrees I had the heritage pork chop and my wife had the seared Hawaiian tuna. Both dishes were outstanding! Again they were able to accommodate my wife's gluten intolerance. Our server was very nice and helpful. We will be back soon!"

  • "We've been to several of the best restaurants in Cleveland, but this is the one that tops the list for us. We love the seasonal menu, we love the freshness, we love the creativity."

  • "Had a great meal at harvest! We started with broiled oysters and the stuffed hot peppers for appetizers and both were delicious. The Ribeye steak for dinner was cooked perfectly and the sides were great. We also had a scallop special that was great. Our waitress was very attentive and seemed to be waiting on the whole restaurant but never missed a beat. The menu has expanded since our last visit and has something for everyone. We can't wait to go back and try something else"

  • "Let me start by giving a shout out to the Chef. My wife has a gluten intolerance and the kitchen at Harvest was more than accommodating. We started with oysters and tuna sashimi. Both were outstanding! For entrees my wife had the halibut with porcini mushroom risotto and lobster broth. I had a CAB strip steak. They were both wonderful. Our server was polite and well informed. He helped us navigate the large beer list. We will be back!"

  • "This was our first experience at Harvest. The environment was vibrant and the service was excellent. We split a salad and ordered the walleye and short ribs. Both meals were outstanding. We will definitely be back more often."

  • "hostess put me down as no-show, triggering a 'please cancel next time'. NOT nice. Asked to be seated at window table and was told not possible due to computer 'assignment' though that table was not occupied for almost 1 and 1/2 hours. Server and food were great."
    Dined on 4/5/2014
  • "We know we can count on a variety of selections even though we often choose the Kobe style burger and duck fat fries. I have tried several other items and have not been disappointed. This is a good place for a special dinner"
    Dined on 4/4/2014
  • "Another wonderful dinner at Harvest! The bay scallop appetizer with mushroom risotto, peas and favas and red wine sauce was great. So was the Caesar salad with burrata cheese. Our server Robert recommended the sockeye salmon with a curry broth. It was outstanding. The CAB NY strip steak was cooked perfectly and delicious. The bread pudding dessert was a perfect end to another great dinner."

  • "We had great dinner there on Saturday. The only unfortunate part was that our dessert came and the bottom of the bread pudding was really burnt and we had to send it back. Someone should have known it was burnt and shame on them if they knew and put the burnt side down and served it to us."
    Dined on 3/29/2014
  • "The food is good and our service was excellent. The owner's ego requires guests to eat what they have been served, as is. They obviously do not know what they like and their tastes must be identical to those of the owner. The days of "my way, or the highway" have to end."
    Dined on 3/26/2014
  • "Another great dinner at Harvest. The oysters were amazing as usual. The halibut feature with black rice and curry broth was one of the best fish dishes I've ever had. It paired nicely with a pint of 3 Floyds Dreadnaught. The NY strip steak was cooked to perfection. Make sure you have the cherry and white chocolate bread pudding for dessert."

  • "Everything went smoothly. Service was fantastic. The food was very good and well-presented. We were neither rushed, nor did we languish. Great choice!"

  • "We had another lovely dinner at Harvest. The house made bacon appetizer was amazing as were the marrow bones. My entrée of grilled grass fed lamb loin and black truffle raviolis was the best dish I've ever had at Harvest. My wife's short rib was melt in your mouth tender. Our server Robert always points out the new beer selections. What a wonderful evening."

  • "Extreme overreach, the culinary skills do not match the extensive menu. We ordered the evening specials. Everything was over cooked, except the green pepper appetizer, which was a pile of raw peppers. The scallops were so over cooked they were rubber pucks. The corned beef was dry and tough. A very disappointing dining experience, especially considering the price."

  • "It was a great night out with our grown children. We ordered an assortment of appetizers to share, and all were outstanding. Entree portions were huge. We are delighted to have such a fine restaurant in Solon."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "The service was great and atmosphere was nice. The food was very good for the most part but did leave a little something to be desired. I ordered boneless short ribs and the plate just seemed a little bit busy and lost. The flavors went together well but it was a bit too much put together in my opinion. I would have liked to have seen the heirloom carrots incorporated into the dish instead of left on the side of plate. My friend ordered the ribs and other then the fact that they could feed a family of four and looked a bit excessive on the plate the seasoning and taste was excellent. Again the side was just kind of thrown onto the plate with no real connectivity to it. Overall it was a very good dining experience and I would recommend it."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "While the server was friendly and attentive, the food was mediocre. My flatbread was tasteless except for the over-powering salt in the duck confit. The tables are so packed together that it is difficult to have a private conversation. When will servers stop calling mature guests "dearie" Honey" and "Sister. I will not return anytime soon."

  • "Truly a fantastic place to dine. Having worked in the restaurant business years ago, I am always amazed at a chef's ability to put together a menu that has so many remarkable choices. And to do it all so well. Our new favorite. Highest rating."
    Dined on 3/15/2014
  • "I'd like to recommend this local spot but found that the experience wasn't worth the fairly high prices. Dinner for four (wine, two appetizers, and a shared dessert) was $205 plus a tip. The restaurant was out of all three desserts we preferred; a steak was butterflied AFTER it was cooked;fries were greasy; no bread or salad with the dinner; c-salad served untossed with a clump of cheese glop astride whole leaves of romaine; tiny piece of upside apple "cake" was more of a pie. One bright spot was friend's fish, one of the specials, but other dinners (farro, a seafood special, and the steak) were unremarkable."

  • "We ordered a $50 bottle of chardonnay which was served warm. We were told "that's the way the chef likes it to be served"...... We had to insist that it be chilled. Then we were served cold bread and asked for it to be warmed. The waitress adamantly said NO. Again we insisted and the waitress returned with heated garlic bread that was saturated in butter and garlic. We inquired about healthy food options and the waitress recommended a vegetable dish with ancient grains. The meal was so salty and the vegetables were overcooked to the point of being tasteless. We also order the Farro Burger which was served plain and was tasteless. Overall, this was not a good experience all the way around."
