However, the atmosphere is too casual and the tables are crowded and close to each other, and the decor is not tasteful enough for a steakhouse - so dropping $130+ (no drinks!) on a dinner for two people in a very, very casual setting is not what we expected when we made the reservation."

  • "My wife wanted the wygu burger they have on the lunch menu for dinner but they could only make the burger on the menu. Our waiter gave us his name and when we were in town the next time to call ahead and they would make sure to special order it for her and have the supplies to make it. We really liked the extra service. The burger for the night was still delicious."

The service was awful, slow, we even complained to the manager about how long it was taking for food to come out and nothing was done. I'd never go back to that location, it's a shame, the food is wonderful but the service was just awful."

  • "Three of us had dinner on a Friday night, and 2 of us were observing meatless meals for Lent. The mustard glazed salmon and lemon sole were both superb -- and because the fish eaters among us were indecisive about which to order, our service offered to give us half servings of each. Very thoughtful and we took him up on it. Also, because we love bread, have to add that the bread and butter were terrific too. It's not that I was surprised that the food was good, because I have eaten here before, but I guess I was surprised that it was great. Also, everyone on the staff sends out a very friendly, unpretentious vibe. The bar, if you prefer it a little more casual, was hopping."

  • "we enjoyed our evening at Harry Caray's. the employees were courteous and though the restaurant was busy the noise level and service was good (we weren't sure what to expect on Valentine's weekend). The only thing we were disappointed in was the wine list was very expensive. there should be more variety for the lower budgets out there. We love a bottle of wine, but $50 took us by surprise. We felt eggplant and salmon dinners shouldn't have cost $130. It was a good location for us, so we went."

  • "We always enjoy this place. They obviously treat their staff right because we've seen the same servers there for years. They are very good - checking in periodically and knowledgeable. On this most recent visit, the pasta special with lobster and mussels sounded great, but I was in the mood for a steak. Thankfully, the chef had no problem making up a half order as my appetizer. I had the 12 oz filet; my wife had the 12 oz. NY strip. Both excellent."

  • "Went to Harry Caray's as part of a business lunch with three colleagues. We were greeted right away and fulfilled our lunch reservation without delay or complication. The restaurant was quite full at lunch which is a good sign that it has good food and reputation. Two of us had the soup of the day; chicken tortilla. It was very tasty. Another had the calamari which was delicious. Our entrees followed soon after and everyone enjoyed their meal. Was a very pleasant experience and would return on my next trick to the area."

  • "Because of the sportson the TV we eat in the bar. After being seated the waitress completely forgot about us. It had to be 15 minutes before I finally got up and approached her at the bar to ask her if take our drink order. And I did this when she was talking to the manager. After that I saw the manager talking to her. I actually have no complaint with her. She is human and forgot us. That can happen and after that she was great. However, IMO the manager should have bought us that drink. He didnt. For food, the tomato bisque soup and wedge salad were great. I had chicken vesuvio and my wife had a burger. Very good. To end the evening the power went out. So we finished by candelight. All and all a decent meal and an interesting evening."

Restaurant was very friendly and comfortable. Our server, Rick, was a real pro. Good table side manner and offered advice when needed. We left a littler earlier than planned due to the extreme weather conditions.. Happy that we were able to spend New Years Eve with Harry Caray's in Rosemont!"

  • "I went to Harry Caray's on New Year's Eve. Our waiter did a fantastic job and both an assistant manager and restaurant manager stopped by to make sure everything was going well. Overall the food was fantastic. The calamari was excellent, the steak and chicken dishes were outstanding. The only real hic-up was the Surf add. I ordered the half pound of crab legs and I receive a half of one jumbo crab legs. For that they charged $25.95. It was ridiculous. I said something to our waiter and he informed me that several guests had complained. Nothing was done with the bill and a manager come after I complained. I know jumbo crab can be expensive, but you can buy a pound in bulk for around $15. I highly recommend avoiding any Surf add-on."
