Always impressed by the wine selection. This night I took 2 associates who had not been before. We started with the St. Elmos shrimp cocktail which is always a great begining. My guests both went for the surf & turf - an 8oz seasonal variety of salmon and an 8oz filet. Both parties were raving about the quality and taste of both. I had the prime rib pizza which has a horseradish based sauce. I highly recommed this choice. Especially if you're in the bar looking to share apps. Someone who appeared to be the manager spotted me scoping a table and came over to tell me that he was going to hold it for us. I hadn't told anyone on staff that I'd like one of the bar tables - I was just hoping it would work out. I was impressed that, in a packed bar and busy restaurant, he was paying attention and knew how to help us out. As always, the service and food were great. The experience was enhanced by the manager paying attention and getting us the table we wanted without even having to ask. I've always enjoyed the North side location. We went early and found the restaurant quiet and mostly empty, which was fine. Steaks were excellent, service too. Really no complaints at all. I had heard good things about the restaurant before I went, and they were pretty accurate. The shrimp cocktail was delish, but beware the upsell to the 10 piece. It will set you back almost $32 by itself! But I'm still glad we ordered it.
