    We decided to try Harris’s for the first time on Father’s Day, and sadly, it will also be our last. This restaurant may have a storied reputation, but our experience was anything but legendary. The service and management were shockingly poor, and the entire evening felt like an afterthought. From the moment we sat down, we were never greeted by our server. Ken, the server assistant, was the only bright spot—polite, attentive, and doing his best. After our second water refill, we had to ask Ken to find someone so we could order two vodka martinis. Our actual server, Sean, eventually appeared—but without a greeting, without an introduction, and without any mention of daily specials. He simply asked if we were ready to order and left. Our drinks (delivered by someone else, not Sean) arrived, and then we were left stranded again. We had to flag down Reese, the manager, just to place our dinner order. At this point, it was clear we were not a priority. Sean maybe came to our table twice the entire night and never once checked on how our food was. Unsurprisingly, our sides came out cold. We flagged down Reese again and told him how disappointed we were. Instead of offering to remake the food or salvage the situation, he simply brought the check. He didn’t take ownership, didn’t apologize meaningfully, and certainly didn’t attempt to make things right. His only gesture was to offer limoncello shots—something we weren’t drinking and didn’t want, especially as we were clearly ready to leave. No adjustment was made to the bill despite the cold food, lack of service, and overall disappointing experience. To add insult to injury, my dad actually called the restaurant after we got home. I dine out often in San Francisco and immediately saw how off the entire service was—but my dad was genuinely oblivious to how bad it truly was in the moment.     Harris' is my favorite restaurant. Ambience is perfect, beautiful booths and great looking bar. You can even shop for steaks to take home, grass fed. Harris’ serves the finest filet mignon, drinks, and wines in San Francisco. Service is the best, Joe and Huy checked on us constantly. We enjoyed a nice visit with Reece Owens, Manager. We were also able to say hi to our friends, David, Joseph, and Victor. If you are looking for the best steaks in the city, then Harris’ is for you. We now live in Reno and try to come over as often as possible. Thanks, Conrado and Cindy

    Another outstanding experience at Harris. Our night started with cocktails at the bar. Bartender was very friendly and polite answering our questions and educating us on certain drinks. We moved on to the dining room and were pleased that they accommodated our request to be seated in Adam’s section. He was our server on our last visit and was wonderful so we were happy that he was on duty and available. We shared one of the evening specials, a salad with peaches and a delicious vinaigrette and enjoyed it with Harris’ yummy mini baguette rolls with room temp butter. (Much easier to spread this way.) We both ordered the prime rib with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach and had a glass of Saxon Brown Pinot Noir with the meal. Everything was perfect. Finished off the meal by sharing a cheesecake with lemon curd and fresh cream. This is why we choose Harris for a special night out. Always great food, drinks, service, and ambiance. Already thinking of when to plan our next date night there….

    My husband and I invited a dear friend to share in the celebration of our birthdays. It has been a long time since all of us have participated in a three hour dinner with lots of good conversation. All of this was made possible through the thoughtful attention of the friendly staff and the cooking expertise of the kitchen staff.
