Harper's TableWonderful Mother's Day BrunchI took my wife and daughter to Harper's Table for Mother's Day Brunch. After reading the reviews, I was more than optimistic I had made a good choice as we had not been here before (nor had any of my friends which I found odd). My optimism faded a little as we arrived, dressed nicely for Mother's Day, only to see people entering in shorts, tee-shirts, etc. and taking in the overall appearance of the restaurant, while nice, seemed more like a pub than a finer dining establishment. All that changed when our food arrived, simply OUTSTANDING! Every item from the limited menu was superb. The Pork Belly Biscuits, scrumptous, Brisket as tender as any, homemade corn bread a major hit. We had heard wonderful things about the restaurant and were not disappointed. I loved the decor, the friendliness of the staff and of course, the food. We got grits as an appetizer. I don't like grits, but these were amazing. The scallops and barbecue were fantastic. My cocktail even came in a cool copper mug. Your staff was very friendly, informative of the menu, and professional. I was impressed how the wait staff helped each other when one was busy with another table. The food was fantastic, I walked out of there completely stuffed and happy with the whole experience. Thank you very much, I can't wait to come again. The only negative I could think of was the next time I think I would like a booth because the chairs were kinda hard after sitting there for awhile. We were treated as if we were the most important people there by everyone on staff. They truly care that you have a good experience. The sweet potato biscuits were to die for. Love me some pork belly!The blood orange and beet salad, though very tasty, was hard to eat. With all the long stems on the micro greens there is just no neat way to do it. It would of been nice to have more salad on the plate. It was pretty to look at but hardly more than a couple of bites. Dense chocolate cake and homemade ice cream----delish! I would love to go back just to try more deserts!I wish they had a better beer selection.
