Diner Reviews
  • "Second visit was disappointing and I don't think we'll be going back. They were out of the wine we wanted after a long search. Forgot our first appetizer - then arugula cauliflower arrived flavorless - which was very inconsistent from our first visit. The brussel sprouts were overly sauced and not tasty. Short rib taco was well prepared but lacked any spice. A miss all around except for the chicken dish."

  • "I had a spectacular dinner with my 2 year old son and we were treated like kings. They went out of the way to make us comfortable and they had great, imaginative, well thought out food and drinks. Chef has a great palate and the kitchen is well trained and awesome.Server was attentive and whole crew helped make the meal special."

  • "Have been to Harmon's before for lunch & I think the dining room ambiance is much better-suited to daytime rather than evening. Not a very warm or inviting space. The lunchtime salads & small plates were terrific previously. This time, however, the small plates were off. The lamb ribs were tasty but terribly fatty & so we didn't even eat 3 of the 5 on the plate. I mentioned this to our server and she agreed, saying "yes, they are often fatty." The gnocchi was tough & overcooked, some nearly burned from their saute, but neatly hidden beneath the arugula. Certainly a far cry from the wonderful taste-memories I held from 689. . . sigh."

  • "Really enjoyed Saturday's night special: NY strip w/ bone marrow butter; asparagus & heirloom potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection and was SO tasty! Handcrafted cocktails started off the meal beautifully. We will definitely be returning this summer to enjoy the outdoor seating!"

  • "This restaurant was a highly enjoyable experience. The staff was so friendly and knowledgable and the menu was outstanding. I will definitely be going back. I recommend the gruyere Mac and cheese!"

  • "I was a fan of Phat Thai and sorry to see it go. And the reviews of Harman's kept me away. But I needed a place in Cherry Creek and decided to give Harman's a try. My friend and I were not in the least disappointed. I would recommend giving them a second chance."

  • "My daughter and I dined there early on a Saturday before going to a painting class. Absolutely loved the potato and celery root tots for an appetizer. Bolognese was great as were the scallops. Would definitely go again."

  • "First visit to Harman's; but, it won't be the last. I could lhave made a meal out of the delicious bread, salad, and wine! I had steak and it was absolutely delicious. I am looking forward to going back!"

  • "The waiter was inexperienced. He did not know the make- up of many dishes and misled us on how things were prepared and what ingredients were in some dishes."

  • "I made a reservation here, looking for somewhere we could go for a late lunch for my mom's birthday. We ordered the brussel sprouts and the chips. The brussel sprouts were phenomenal. The chips got a little soggy but had a good flavor. The quantities were decent. Then I ordered the lamb which was a very small portion. It tasted great though. My sister and mom both ordered the grass fed burger which had a huge portion. They loved them. My daughter ordered the chicken strips and had the butterscotch pudding. The total cost was around$60 which I think was reasonable. It wasn't phenomenal by any means but it was good food and our waitress was very sweet."

  • "I almost cried when I saw the GF, V and DF options clearly noted on the menu! I generally have about 3 options on a restaurant menu and usually end up with a boring salad sans croutons. Harmans has a fantastic selection of good food that just happens to be GF, V or DF. So far the food has been yummy and safe. I did have one issue with drinks - I don't think my second drink was the same as my GF first drink. I understand it can happen with different severs wanting to make sure I'm not without a drink. I had some discomfort for 24 hrs, but that happens when allergic people try and eat out. I'll just be more careful and remind them next time I go."

  • "We live in the neighborhood and love to walk to the restaurants in Cherry Creek, especially the independent ones. Harman's is a terrific place for great food and service. It has truly become our favorite "go-to" restaurant. We have taken many friends and gone by ourselves. Dinner is terrific and prices cannot be beat. What more can you ask for!"

  • "This was our first time to Harman's and we were blown away. We went on a Sunday, so parking was free in Cherry Creek. The service was great. The food was over the top. And, the prices were right on target. We ordered 3 appetizers, 3 entrées and 2 desserts for under $100. The Hanger Steak with blue cheese butter was so good. It just melts in your mouth. My son had a huge cheese burger that he devoured. My husband had a steak salad that was so good he would not share. My favorite was the house made pate'. Really? So good. We'll definitely be back. There are too many other things on the menu to try."

  • "Excellent service, good food. Not extensive menu, but lots on the menu looked good, want to go back to try more. We are fans of Pullman in Glenwood (same owner) and prefer that, but this had some good points. Big and open, not intimate place. Prices ok enough for the neighborhood, except drinks (wine) seemed high. Good salted butter they serve w/your bread. You can tell they pay attention to making food tasty."

  • "Our 1st visit, and during restaurant week. We took family who were visiting from San Francisco, a highly regarded foodie city, and they thought their experience here was as good as any they have had at home. Service was great."

  • "Second time dining for dinner at Harmon's. First time was a great experience, very friendly staff and we couldn't have asked for a better dinner. This time, we requested a table on the rail of the 2nd floor balcony. Instead we were shown a first floor table in the middle of the room. We again asked if there was availability on the 2nd floor, the girl acted a little annoyed, brought us to the second floor, this time to a table next to the wall. Seeing an open table next to the rail, we asked if that was open, the girl grudgingly said OK. Our waitress was friendly enough, but we had to replace a dirty bread plate on the table (ourselves). Food was just fine, but our initial greeting kind of made up our minds not to go back."

  • "The food at Harman's is just wonderful. The menu is sophisticated and the mix of flavors is perfect and delicious. Portion sizes are fantastic and the restaurant week deal was an incredible value. The menu includes many gluten free items and the taste is just fantastic. I even tried a gluten free cake for dessert and it was really good and extremely satisfying. Staff were very friendly and the service was great."

  • "Went for Restaurant Week but you couldn't tell it was RW. The service and quality of food was top notch. The drinks were FANTASTIC! The portion sizes were just right and everything was so flavorful! I can't wait to return! LOVED the $10 gift certificates!"

  • "Harman's is a great spot. The menu is very eclectic and changes. Always interesting, tasty choices and a great wine list. It's a great place to sit at the bar and taste the small plates with a friend."

  • "As I get older the background noise is more bothersome. They have a dining loft that is more quiet. The food and service were well above average. I rate this as a very good restaurant, but not a destination"

  • "The feel of the space is awesome. There is a tangible buzz from other customers that makes it feel like you're in the right place at the right time. The food is quite good, I mean QUITE GOOD, but unfortunately it's hindered by subpar service (that's being kind). If you're looking for a good atmosphere, great food, and you don't mind having a server that is never there and not at all attentive then this is the place."

  • "Great food great service. Most impressed by the red headed bartender who was very well educated on the owner, the food and the over all history of how the place became to be. Us foodies live for that kind of story."

  • "Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable of menu. Pan Seared Scallops were good but heavy on the grease so would try the Pan Roasted Colorado Chicken the next time. The Spicy Fried Brussel Sprouts were excellent with just enough spice and flavor! The drinks were served in unique stemware but on the pricey side. Make sure you request dining closer to the downstairs bar area if you're in the mood for high energy and great people watching. The upstairs dining area is very quite and perfect for conversation. I will definitely give Harman's another try, love the location!"

  • "I have a dairy allergy and it was so refreshing for dairy free items to be labeled on the menu! It made for a much more relaxing dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the beer selection was nice and local. We ate at Harman's on Saturday night and have recommended the restaurant to everyone from friends to my personal trainer!"

  • "Food was excellent, especially given restaurant week (the menu was expansive, with many choices included). Service was a bit slow at first, which was possibly due to the busy restaurant week (ie: packed house)."

  • "We ate at Harmon's for the first time during Denver Restaurant Week, and what a great surprise. The food was delicious and the server were friendly and fun. The presentation (using cold slate to serve dessert, for example) was fantastic. We especially liked that fact that Harmon's offered the full menu for Restaurant Week, so our table of four had a lot of choices. The menu is priced well and reasonable, so normal dinning times will not be overly pricey. The only constructive comment is that the "Hanger" steak was a bit tough, but it did have a great flavor. We will definitely go back."

  • "This was our second visit. We were seated promptly and our orders were taken right away. My husband ordered the soup of the day followed by a rare burger. The soup was delicious but the burger he ordered rare came well done. It was replaced and the replacement was properly prepared. I stammered with the burrata salad which was yummy and then had the lamb riblets, which were excellent, The portion was small but enough following the burrata. We ended the evening with a chocolate dessert."

  • "Harmans was very accommodating for our group of 7. Great food and friendly service. Particularly enjoyed the truffle fries, roasted chicken, and butternut squash agnolotti! Cake batter ice cream dessert was.... interesting. Will definitely be back again."

  • "Harman's tries to come off as a hip, foodie restaurant. It is not. The portions are small for the price, service quite unremarkable, and overall I wish they would have stayed Phat Thai because that food was so much better and unique. There are so many better choices in Cherry Creek and go enjoy them all. This one is to be missed!"

  • "Interesting menu - everything tasty -- especially good salads. Sat upstairs away from the noisy dining room - better for chatting for more than 2 people. Servers were pretty attentive, except forgot to bring butter for bread when asked. Good variety on the menu - will be back."

  • "Harman's Eat and Drink was absolutely fantastic! We knew coming in that the owner also owns The Pullman and Phat Thai (two other incredible restaurants), but didn't prepare ourselves for how amazing the food would be. The drinks were great and a good size, the brussel sprout appetizer was to die for, the mussels were the best my husband can recall ever having, and my scallops were melt in your mouth (the risotto with bacon bits and sweet potato chips were the perfect combo with the scallops). And our salads and dessert were AMAZING as well (the flourless chocolate cake and basil ice cream were also to die for), and everything was incredibly well priced. We will definitely be regular guests!"

  • "This was our second time at Harman's, and we returned because of the great lamb reuben we had here a few months ago. Unfortunately, they change their menu frequently, so the lamb reuben was not available. But fortunately, the new menu items were just as tasty, and we sensed that the chef has a great deal of fun creating wonderful, surprising, and scrumptious combinations of food."

  • "Went to Pullman , their sister rest in Glenwood Springs This wasn't nearly as good. Close but no cigar. The Russian bride drink was weird, and it seemed like they tried to get too creative on a few of the dishes, the soup for sure."

  • "It's open, modern, casual, fresh and not too loud with a variety on the menu that pleased our mid-western guests, my vegetarian wife and my I've-got-a-veggie-wife craving for a little beef. The locally grown focus of the menu offers a variety of small plates and salads with delightfully flavorful yet light tastes. The Winter Vegetables, Pan Roasted Chicken and Hanger Steak entrée's were all tasty and well portioned. Not too loud, quiet, bright, dim, boring or expensive. It's just right:~) If you're meeting a new potential business partner, like we were, need a neutral corner for an internet romance, or just looking for that 2nd kitchen go-to place in North Cherry Creek, put Harman's Eat & Drink on your list."

  • "On a recommendation from a Cherry Creek retailer, we visited Harman's and had a great meal. The beet salad will delight you with all of the taste sensations it offers. It's not your typical clump of beets with cheese sprinkled on the top. Fresh greens and garbanzos and organic chips - oh, and the neatly sliced beets that provide a foundation for the salad. Good bread; great waiters and waitresses. Definitely worth a try!"

  • "We've been to Harman's many times since they opened last fall. We appreciate the quality and variety of the food, as well as excellent service. The ambiance at Second and Fillmore, with their huge windows is ideal for watching the street scene. Their patio on Fillmore is the best in Cherry Creek. Their Sunday Brunch is one of the best. Their scones are delicious!"
