Local owners Melinda and Chef Larry Stewart have a hand picked brigade to offer culinary grace in an elegant casual setting with professional, convivial service.

Our waiter was fantastic and we were never left wanting for anything. He was very helpful with the extensive wine menu as well as the dinner menu. The ambiance was great and we were seated near enough to the window with somewhat of a view of the river valley. It will be a better view once the scaffolding in the front is no longer there."

This year my favorite appetizer had been taken off the menu, I mentioned it to the waiter and because it was such a favorite he was able to arrange with the kitchen to have it made for me. What fantastic service. Staff are friendly and easy to chat with but also give you privacy. My husband and I have been going there on and off for over five years, we love it. Highly recommend it."

The flavors of the foods really come together for a taste experience. Great wine selection and to end the evening with a coffee and special dessert can just cap off the evening. For a $40 (ish) dollar entree I expect to be blown away by the food and was not. It was definitely unique food, but almost like they tried to hard to be unique and pushed for that rather then great tasting. Wine was the best part of the meal. Good for an experience, likely wouldn't come back due to the high price for what you get."

We just missed the early dinner menu which was what originally attracted us: 3 course meal for $50. Parking was the only issue as the Neighborhood east of the building was rough."

  • "We came for our 25th anniversary. I have been reading reviews and following the Golden Fork Awards since I came to Edmonton for work. My wife did not know about the restaurant until we left for our reservation. Well we were not disappointed, the food was fabulous and we went outside "the box" for a couple of things (Kobe Beef Carpaccio and Duck Leg Confit). The wine was wonderful as was the service. The only thing that was only so so was the noise level. A Tuesday at 7:30 still has the business dinner crowd, so it was noisy but not objectionally so. We will book later next time. Our server even surprised us with a dessert for our anniversary. We will be back. Thank you for a lovely evening."

  • "A beautiful restaurant with a very friendly staff. It was busy but not noisy at all. The food came out timely and great presentation. The cream of mushroom soup was amazing, however I found the Buratta from the early dining menu quite bland. We both enjoyed our entrees of bacon wrapped elk & the truffle Mac n cheese, which I couldn't get enough of the smell alone! The portions were more than enough & prices were on the higher side, especially wine, but comparable to other fine dining establishments. The early Dining 3 course meal was a great option to experience every course for only $50! Overall great date night out & would highly recommend."

The booths looked promising and intimate. I looked forward to the same, however, we were sat in what looked to be more of a lounge area with wide open tables rather than intimate booths. This was disappointing. Our server was attentive without being overbearing and recommended his favorite wines out of the extensive and impressive list. Our food was delicious. My only complaint would be the noise level of the employees whilst sitting at the bar. It made it difficult to hear my partner, but our server graciously moved us to quieter table. Overall splendid. "
