Diner Reviews
  • "We were in town for a bachelorette weekend. This was one of the highlights on our trip. The food was great. The sweet potato soup was excellent. Very quaint atmosphere and easy to make reservations and we did not have to wait for a table. I would recommend using this sight for future reservations."

  • "My wife and I went to the Harding House for breakfast at 10AM on a Saturday, followed by a tour of the Belmeade Plantation. The atmosphere was quiet and intimate, despite the fact that the gift shop is right downstairs. More people came in as the morning progressed. The service was top notch, and the food was great. It was a rainy day, so I don't know whether it might be busier or louder when more people are touring the plantation. We really enjoyed it."

  • "Everything we ordered was first rate and the service was excellent. Some of us had dined before so it was no surprise that the food had that special touch!!!!"

  • "This was a spur of the moment lunch after church meal. The location of the restaurant couldn't be better at the Belle Meade Mansion. The food was very good and not too expensive, a great value. The ambiance inside the restaurant was stark. There were no decorations. Almost felt like a cafeteria. The servers were very nice, but the hostess was wearing army boots, which just didn't fit with the experience."

  • "This was my second dining experience with the Harding house. My spouse's first. The service was excellent and the food was very tasty. We only had sweet tea to drink but it was just right and our glass was kept full by a most attentive server."

  • "The food was very good. I had the fried green tomatoes, and a spinach salad. The fried green tomatoes were excellent, and the salad was pretty good. It would be nice if the restaurant stayed open later. We wanted to com back after the tour of the plantation, and the wine tasting for some more wine, and dessert."

  • "Might be one of the best brunch menu's in Nashville - soooo many choices - everything was great!"

  • "The food was okay - the spinach salad was more spinach stems than spinach leaves, which was not good. I have other things at the restaurant which were much better."

  • "We were in Nashville for the weekend and had plans to tour the Plantation. We timed it so that we would have a chance to eat here, as we had heard it was good. We made a reservation and when we arrived on time, we were seated immediately. The menu was varied, and there were many delicious sounding items that we had to choose from. All were delicious. Recommend!"

  • "Brunch at Harding House was absolutely delicious. The fried green tomato with pimento cheese sandwhich was surprisingly delicious. I am glad that I followed my waiters advice. The staff was by far the most attentive that I've experienced in quite sometime. The art work was in the dining area was beautiful."

  • "This is a brunch/lunch only spot at Belle Meade plantation and is a nice place to rest and have decent food. The gumbo was very good, spinach salad was ok (needed more dressing) but fried green tomatoes were cut too thick and so were barely cooked. We didn't have dessert but they looked good."

  • "Set on the grounds of the Historic Belle Meade Mansion, visitors can take a nice stroll before or after eating and/or visit the lovely gift shop. We began brunch with $3 mimosas and fried green tomatoes. The tomatoes were large slices with a well seasoned crispy crust. The made to order omelet was perfectly seasoned and well prepared. The side order of biscuits were dry and disappointing, but slathered with butter and jelly, were certainly edible. A turkey and brie sandwich ordered by another in our party, was reportedly delicious. It came with the melted brie peeking appetizingly just beyond the rim of the toasted bread. The waiter was attentive, but not overly so. Given my mid-day experience, I will plan to go for dinner one evening."
