Diner Reviews
  • "Hello, to make it brief, 1.) We were served appetizers without side plates 2.) Our drink order never came 3.) We had to get up and find a waitress at two seperate occasions, for utensils, and to ask for the bill. We were left unattended. The view was great, but what's that matter, when you are treated with poor service :("

  • "The stars/review is for lunch booked thru OpenTable, but will also mention the breakfast buffet which was included in the room rate. Lunch was very good, service very spotty. Cocktails were late & the waiter forgot to put in my app. He did admit it & apologize which I did appreciate because up til that point I'd been doing a slow burn. Yes, I would go back. Now, the breakfast buffet was EXCELLENT. The offerings were standard hotel fare (egg frittata, bacon, sausage, potatoes, I think they had an omelet station, Belgian waffles) but the quality was off the charts which elevated the standards to 4 star status. Service was awesome too! And the view, well, it's 10 stars all the way!"

  • "I walked up to the hostess and indicated to her that I had a reservation for two. She was not the most friendly and seemed confused as she did not know what I was talking about. I gave her my name, she briefly looked on the computer and said there is no reservation for me. I showed her the confirmation on my phone she said she did not see it but proceeded to seat us anyway. A few min later a very nice waiter came and said so I understand you are celebrating a special occasion today. We were confused since the hostess did not find our reservation and I did not specify any other details to her. Apparently, she enentually found it. It would have been nice for her to walk over to our table and apologize and let us know she had found it."

  • "The undisputed champ of fine dining with a perfect of downtown Boston. Well done!"

  • "Great service, good food and you can't beat the view of Boston Harbor!"

  • "We went to check out the restaurant for graduation party. We went on a weekend. That day has a wedding. The dinning area was noisy. Food was not cooked to standard. The medium steak was well-done. The service was good though."

  • "The menu was completely changed recently. It used to be upscale entrees. Now it's more tapas. Although we were a bit shocked when we looked at the menu, we were pleasantly surprised when the food arrived. Everything tasted good, especially the scallops and duck. "

  • "We have often enjoyed dinner at Harborside Grill on our trips at Boston when we stay at an airport hotel. Infact, we always stay at a Hilton property but have their shuttle take us to Harborside Grill. Our recent experience was disappointing. The menu has changed dramatically. While it seems to be a bit more "trendy" and geared to the "bar crowd", it has also lost it's best attribute: excellent seafood to accompany the delightful and always interesting harbor view. While this fare worked out OK for us this time (my wife and I were tired and a "normal" dinner out likely would have been too much) I'm afraid that we are among those who will be looking for alternative dining options at Logan."

  • "Really enjoyed the view and atmosphere at the Grill - I always enjoy seeing the new menu items, and the Tapas menu was of particular interest. It was busy and our service was a tad slow, but otherwise it was a very good experience."

  • "I have been to this restaurant many times and been very happy with it. This Easter was a disappointment. We had reservations for 9, and were seated at a table for 18 or so which made for a very awkward arrangement, while a round table for 10 remained empty for most of the time we were there. No one was offered a drink except coffee and juice even tho it was advertised as a "champagne brunch". The wait staff seemed untrained and unprepared, leaving me to remove empty plates from the table on more than one occasion. and having to get their attention for coffee refills. As we sat around chatting while waiting for the check to arrive, the hostess asked us to leave to make room for the next party! Pretty awkward. "

  • "The resetaurant has stunningly good views!! The food was ok and moderately priced. Somehow it took too long to serve our party of 15 people. "

  • "Grabbed a couple drinks with a girlfriend at Harborside after her flight landed. View was very impressive and our server was extremely helpful when we inquired about the water taxi."

  • "When we ordered it, we were told that the clam chowder at Harborside Grill was "the best in Boston." When we tasted it, we decided otherwise -- it's the best anywhere!! If you eat at the Grill at the Hyatt, don't pass up the chowder! We had the other Boston staple, fish and chips, and it was excellent. We couldn't have been happier with our choice of restaurant."

  • "The restaurant has moved from its original location on the first floor to the lobby of the hotel. It was loud, the dress was casual at best (someone was there in his slippers on a Saturday evening..) not what I expected when I booked it. Also, the kitchen seems to still be on the first floor and the wait staff have to descend the staircase with the huge trays..I did not like it. The food was totally fine and the service acceptable (except for the long waits so that they could go up and down the stairs...) but the ambience was awful. It is a shame not to take advantage of the spectacular view and provide a more intimate setting for quiet, more civilized dinner.."

  • "The view of the Boston skyline is spectacular. We were stuck in the snow and unable to go home due to canceled flights so we stayed at the hotel. We were surprised how good the food was!"

  • "The best view of the harbor & the Boston skyline available. You could be content with just that, but the food is to be savored also. Award winning clam chowder is not to be missed!"

  • "Pleasant, lovely service and view. Quiet for a Sunday brunch. Much better menu than I anticipated, and I am a fussy, health-conscious foodie. Visited for a couple of hours with my sons, one of whom had flown into Boston from France, on a layover before catching a flight the next day to N. Carolina. It was a nice way to warm up a long business trip for him and a bonus for his brother and me."

  • "This restaurant is the best little gem this side of Boston, for it's view, it's ambience, it's servers, the food.....shall I keep going on? You will be so impressed by the view of Boston, then throw in the food and service, it's quite an experience....Keep it up, I will certainly be back....Request Elizabeth as your server, and Vinny as her bus boy, you can't go wrong...."

  • "Enjoyed the food at The Harborside grill. The problem was the service, all too rushed, we were still eating our starters when our entree arrived, food was less than hot when we eventually started eating the main course. Great view from restaurant."

  • "Since there is virtually no competition in this near-airport peninsular location, prices are inordinately high."

  • "The pork belly appetizer was amazing, served on a bed of pureed yams with spicy mustard dressing. The corn bread stuffing was especially mouthwatering and the rest of the meal, turkey, mashed and green beans were very good. The desert, banana tart, was a little too sweet. The view is incredible and the service was friendly."

  • "My girlfriend loves nice views and sea food. And we had both. The food was delicious and well recommended and our services was great. We were overlooking the Boston city-skyline which was incredible and we had a great time."

  • "This was our first time in Boston visiting this restaurant. The service was okay. We had one of the wait staff literally throw our bread off the plate, when I asked about a certain item on the menu, the wait staff was not able to answer the question for me so I went with a different selection. We had a nice time, but compared to the other restaurants we ate at during our trip to Boston, this one fell a little short. However the buffett breakfast was really good. I felt it was a little pricey during the week, but I enjoyed the weekend pricing buy open and the second is half off. The food selection was really good on the breakfast buffett."

  • "It was my first time eating at this restaurant and I must say I don't have anything negative to say. The food was delicious especially the clam chowder soup, it was to die for. The view of the Boston skyline was simply amazing. I wish they had a bigger selection of main courses to choose from but that wasn't a night buster. Last but not least our waiter Elizabeth was beyond amazing and very friendly. Keep up the good work Elizabeth!! I will definitely be back to the restaurant and highly recommend it"

  • "This is one of the prettiest views of the Boston city skyline, especially at night....although, we just got appetizers this visit, they were fabulous...they lit the outside fire pit, magical...Elizabeth was a server, I can't even begin to tell you how great she is....so attentive, informative, and most of all, just plain nice...Vinnie was very nice as well.....they make you feel so welcome.. Even if you wanted to have a glass of wine and enjoy the view, it is so well worth it....Highly recommend it...."

  • "Their outdoor patio is a beautiful spot to view the Boston skyline and the boat activity crossing the harbor. Sit here with a glass of iced tea and relax for an hour. I could have stayed all day. We ordered a lobster roll and it was delicious -- big chunks of meat with a light taste of lemon and tarragon, not heavy on the mayonnaise at all. We also had a cheeseburger and it was tasty, well-cooked, and delicious. The food was definitely up to par. A little pricey, but you get the heavenly view so it all works out. I highly recommend a stop here!"

  • "Our girls's night out was a big success thanks to the great food and scrumptious drinks. The Boston skyline views at sunset are spectacular. A little pricey but well worth the money. Also very suitable for a romantic evening out since they light the fire pits after sundown."

  • "First visit, very casual holiday atmosphere. Good location on Boston harbor with great city views. Obstructed views of fireworks but still worth the trip. Comfortable outdoor seating. Pricey. Clam chowder very good. Service could be better."

  • "Unfortunately our dining experience at the Hyatt Harborside Grill and Patio left a lot to be desired. We reserved a table outside on the patio. It was a beautiful evening, but still very sunny and warm. The patio has many tables, but no umbrellas or shade for any of the seating. Sitting in the direct sun for our meal was not ideal. The view of the city is amazing, but the good part of our evening stop there. The service was very slow. Our waiter was clearly uncomfortable serving his customers. He was awkward and walked away from our table mid sentence several times. For the two of us to have salads and four drinks the bill came to $100. The location lends itself to a much better experience, hopefully Hyatt will make some changes."

  • "We had a wonderful experience here on a Saturday night eating outside and watching the sun set over the Boston skyline on the patio for almost four hours with no rushing by the staff. As a matter of fact, our server, Elizabeth, could not have been nicer. The food was fine, but the over all experience was enhanced by the beautiful evening and lovely night."

  • "My husband ordered chowder and a main dish. We waited forever and then they brought his main dish and mine. The slip which the waiter had with him had "Don't Make" written beside the chowder. Who knows how that got there? Ultimately they brought the chowder, but it wasn't at the right time. That spoiled the experience. I had the New England Chop Salad which was supposed to have garbanzo beans in it. It didn't. It did have bits of some kind of cheese (cream, goat, ??) which I didn't remember from the menu description."

  • "We went for Easter Brunch. The Breakfast side was very very good, the seafood and omelets, pastry and poached eggs on corned beef hash were all delicious! The lunch side was just OK as were the desserts. But breakfast was phenomenal! The personnel were very friendly and helpful and welcoming."

  • "The waitstaff were extremely accommodating. They reserved a table for us that was waitin and ready when we arrived after picking up relatives at the airport. Our server was very accommodating, recommending a good wine, giving our daughter off-menu ice cream, and so on. We have tried other airport restaurants for convenience and have not been impressed, but we would return to this one -- even if we weren't making an airport run!"

  • "Magnificent view over the Boston skyline. Food and service were good, prices are high, but considering it is a hotel an international airport, I guess that is ok. Good cocktails. Don't forget to have the parking validated!"
