Diner Reviews
  • "Clearly it survives on its pier location and on tourist... The views are nice and is clean but that's it! The food was horrible. My prime rib, sent back twice, and was literally microwaved, yes that's right microwaved... Come for the view and A drink but don't bother eating there. ITS A TRUE TOURIST TRAP!!!"

  • "We arrived early, were greeted warmly, and were seated promptly. Both our waiter and busman were attentive but nonintrusive. Two of our party of five enjoyed beautiful salads, two of us ordered entrees, and I ordered one of the daily seafood specials. Our grandson enjoyed his order of fish & chips from the kids' menu. Everything was delicious and prepared as ordered, from the seafood Cobb salad to the sourdough bread. We would love to return."

  • "Lobster was overcooked, and did not appear to be cleaned properly. Salad was unremarkable. Overall, a disappointing dining experience and expense did not comport with quality."

  • "Food was great, view was great, service was great, however, the waiter was not too knowledgeable about what's behind the bar."

  • "I hate to say it but this was not a good choice for us. Our dinner was at 5 so we got there early to walk the pier. It took us 10 minutes before anyone came to the front desk. I ordered claim chowder. The hottest thing about it was the bowl, which i never do is to send it back but i did it was that cold. They put it in the microwave with the same bowl. YIKES!!!!!!!! Her wedge salad outer layer was old and not very crisp. We order Lobster which wasn't up to standard. I am so sorry to write this but i just think people have to know what we got out of a 110.00 dinner!"

  • "I had a reservation for lunch for my husband's 65th birthday. The food was superb and the service was perfect. Our waitress did everything she could to make my husband day a special one. She was the best. The sunset was beautiful from where we were seated which made it very romantic time for us."

  • "Had delicious lobster tacos and fried shrimp out on the pier! The valet parking is complimentary, so do not be deterred by coming onto the pier. Great margaritas as well! Lovely view!!"

  • "OK, the 19 y/o server was great too. If you like Santa Ynez wine you will love the wine list. The whiskey list is just the standards. The bread was warm, the easy listening soundtrack was OK. I mean, who doesn't like Kenny Rogers, right? Cutting our losses after not finding a whiskey or a wine to our liking, we ordered the lobster mac & cheese and a bowl of clam chowder. I was impressed with the amount of lobster in the dish. It looked like two full claws and little bits of meat from the "forearms" of the lobster. The chowder was acceptable. Free valet parking mad access easy and we didn't have to pay for parking with validation. Go for the view and a glass of wine and some appetizers and I think you can call it a day here."

  • "We waited a long time for the food to come but it was worth it to wait !"

  • "Some people complained about waiting 45 minutes after their reservation to be seated. All I needed to do was cruise over to the buffet area, it worth waiting for. For future holiday reference, take a walk on the wharf during your wait, even if the girls at the front desk do not know how long it will be. With a buffet like that, starting at 12 noon, there was no way the restaurant could hurry along the diners, so the wait was understandable. Take a walk to the end of the wharf! Buffet was extensive with lots of raw & cooked seafood, lamb, prime rib, turkey and ham, and about 7+ salads, The dessert - multiple small portions, if you had room after all that great food! Definitely on my list for next year, just expect the wait. I was worth it."

  • "We joined friends at The Harbor for dinner and to watch the Holiday Parade of Lights on the water. The service was friendly, knowledgable of the menu, attentive, accomodating; the food was excellent! The wine list extensive. The ambiance is warm and inviting. It was fantastic to have such a perfect view of the boats coming and going and the fireworks were launched on the beach in our direct view... A great place to enjoy a Santa Barbara holiday tradition! Be sure to ask if the dedicated parking lot will be open when you make your reservation."

  • "The Filet Mignon was the best I've had in years. It was cooked to perfection. The Surf and Turf is an amazing surprise. We could not believe the price. The quality was uncompromised. The view of course is worth a thousand words. The service needed help, but nothing bad, overall, very very nice! :)"

  • "The four of us went excited about having a lobster dinner. However, Friday was the only day they don't service the special! We were very disappointed. Paid for our drinks(3 ice teas and 1 marguerita=$23) and left! Sad! We have gone for lobster before and it was delicious!"

  • "The seafood at this restaurant is out of this world. Traveled from L.A. by train twice to have lunch and dinner there. Took my sister and daughter. Great view of the ocean."

  • "Beautiful Scenic view. Brunch was fantastic. The Mimosa's were unlimited which is nice, but our waitress walked by at least four times and did not refill them. Even after bringing more to a table next to ours. One of the managers started walking around refilling and he kept everyone refilled before they were even done. The food was amazing and the fresh baked rolls were delicious! Will definitely be going again."

  • "Service and food were both good, no complaints. Did not like the fact that there was one window that had NO blinds whatsoever, so I had to change my seating position to a less comfortable one in order to be able to see my cousin from out of town during our conversation. The sun was shining right into my eyes."

  • "The food here was just mediocre...so ultimately, I can't really recommend it. This place is really all about the location on the pier and the view of the Pacific. Was fun to try it once, but wouldn't return."

  • "We booked early withOpen Tabl, so had a nice harbour side table to watch the sunset. The appetizers were great: clam chowder (could almost use a fork), and steamed mussels (only one didn't open). The main courses (swordfish and salmon wellington) were very good - but too large! We should have shared one - probably the salmon, which came with two big pieces. We took lots of fish home - tricky when you're staying at a resort. The wine was very good, and thans for the valet parking! All in all w had an enjoyable evening, and would return on our next visit to Santa Barbara."
