Never disappointed in any dish. Superb selection of fresh seafood. The preparation is simple but elegant. They highlight the fish rather than hide it under thick sauces. Service is always impeccable. Prices are high, but appropriate for the quality, service and ambience.
The Bartolotta restaurants are the best in Milwaukee. Lake Park Bistro, Bacchus and Bartolotta Ristorante are among my favorites. Fully intending to get the lobster pot pie because I've had it before, I was instead swayed by the Walleye with spring vegetables. Really, it was the description of the spring vegetables (we went in April) that got me. Ramps, fresh spring peas, carrots and fava beans. The fish was great and the vegetables were perfectly seasoned -- the few that were there. I had exactly one half of one fava bean in there. Two carrots. And a handful of peas and cut up asparagus and ramps. Luckily I asked for more bread or I would have gone away hungry.
My wife ordered the Madagascar shrimp and filet combo. However, the Harbor House offered lovely ambience, beautiful scenery - rain or shine, and delightful wait staff. I ordered a champagne cosmo which was delicious. The seafood bisque was rich and flavorful. I had a squash and mesclun salad that had a cider vinaigrette and goat cheese - was SO GOOD! My husband and I both ordered a surf / turf combo. He had king crab legs and I had lobster tail. The filets were cooked to perfection and tender. My husband would have prefered a larger portion of King Crab legs but thoroughly enjoyed what he had. The wait staff was kind enough to provide a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Thankfully the brunch servers and our waitress were wonderful and professional and made up for that surprising encounter. Thus no Bartolottas points and Bartolottas gift cards probably won't work. Not a big deal but be aware so you aren't surprised. We had for dinner the combinations dinners and we loved them. We even had time to do a little walk around the restaurant which is just by Lake Michigan and it was a pleasant experience.
