The parking lot adjacent to Harbor House is woefully inadequate to handle the traffic trying to use it. We arrived 15 minutes before our reservation time of 6:00 p.m. and spent the next half hour trying to park. After circling the lot a number of times and racing to a spot that appeared to be opening only to be cut off by another desperate soul, we left because we were going to a play later and feared being late for that. There does not appear to be another parking lot near and downtown San Diego has become so congested in general that we will never go back to the Seaport Village. Not worth the hassle.

Very happy with the service we received. The "catch of the day" is the menu you should focus on, not the normal menu. All the good things are on that CotD menu. If possible, try to get a window seat that gives you a view of the ocean as you dine. Also, if you like lunch dining, try to pick around 11:00-11:30am to get an early seat, and 5:00-6:00pm to get something decent for dinner. Then spend the rest of the evening cruisin' the boardwalk and little shops.

Restaurants in and around Seaport Village can be extremely crowded on the weekends. I got a reservation through open table for Harbour House, window table, party of five, within two hours of the reservation! The staff at Harbor House is always friendly. Fish and Chips were perfectly crispy! A bit pricey, but well worth it for the well-rounded dining experience.

We have had drinks at the bar. A little expensive for the size of the drink, but very creative cocktail menu and the bartender did great job. Last we came for evening dinner with family. The food was terrific. The clam chowder was nice and creamy and the crab cakes had perfect amount of crab to breading. The service was prompt without being annoying and our server even split our bill after we neglected to tell her beforehand. She was very accommodating. I would recommend harbour house for its food and ambience. But remember where you are because it is not cheap eats. But it is worth the money you will spend.

Food was overpriced for the quality. The view was good - would have been better if they had seated us upstairs which the hostess refused to do for reasons I can not understand as we got there at 5:30 the place was empty upstairs and down, and when we left at 7:00 it was still quite empty. I would say it is a good spot for tourists, but as a local we can do better and avoid the hotel and convention traffic.

Had a great window seat with a very scenic view of San Diego Bay. We were there for lunch. I had the chicken breast on ciabatta and asked for a different kind of cheese than what came on it and was gladly obliged. Sandwich was served with fries...a bit expensive for $13. My friend had the tilapia sandwich which was so huge she couldn't finish it. No room for dessert. Would definitely return.

We all ended up ordering from the appetizer list. Big portions and great variety of choices. I don't eat seafood bit my son and parents do. There is plenty yummy dishes to choose from that aren't seafood. Waiter was great! Always had our drinks filled, took our order quickly and food came in a timely manner.

After making my resversation on line I called the restaurant to see if they were having a lunch menu as well as the buffet. I was told that they were offering the Lunch menu as well as the buffet and we could order either way. I told them I did not want a buffet lunch as we do not eat alot and felt it was a waste of money to pay for a buffet and generally the quality of food is better off a menu. I called the restaurant again on wednesday to confim the resveration, I asked again if they were offering the lunch menu. I again was told yes they were. After showing up to the restaurant and were seated, we ordered a drink. It was only after the drinks arrived is when we were told it was only a buffet. The food was was only fair at best.

Great fish--order from their special fish menu and you won't be disappointed! it's worth the price! I had seered ahi with vegetable quinoa served with a delicious sauce. View of passing ships, colorful kites, and Coronado Island in the background. Patio dining protected from the wind by glass but unobstructed view. Impeccable service from Danny who was friendly and efficient. Great wines (many available by the glass such as Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay). What a way to enjoy a relaxing dinner at Seaport Village.

Made a reservation for a 12:45 PM seating on Easter Sunday the day before Easter. Couldn't believe that was possible on such a short notice. It wasn't clear exactly what they would be serving but was pleasantly surprised it was a buffet - and that they had ham and other traditional Easter fare. Cost was somewhat less than other Easter brunches in San Diego....with a better view! (Asked for a water view and got it!) The table was ready when we arrived...no waiting. Our server was very attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend this restaurant.

I was very disappointed with my choice of celebrating my 65th birthday. It was suppose to be a special night but it turned out that we had a terrible dinner plan. Making a reservation was totally useless. My wife and I still had to wait more than 20 minutes before we got someone attention. I was hoping for a nice table by the window instead we were seated away from the window. Not very happy with this place. It use to be one of our favorite place to come but it has not been the same. I don't think I would be back.

When you go to the Harbor House the food prices are reflective of the scenic harbor view not the quality of ingredients. Our waiter was helpful in guiding us toward their fresh fish but the wait staff who delivered the food was grouchy and cold in manner. I am sorry but if you are paying $26 a plate, the staff should be bending over backwards to make the dining experience enjoyable. The coffee at the end of the meal was so horrible we sent it back. Funny, the waiter then said, "would you like me to brew a fresh pot?" Why wasn't that done automatically? Bottom line, this is a place for tourists not locals.
