  • It was ok...

It was fine. Nothing stood out. Nothing to complain about, but nothing to rave about either. I do not feel the need to eat there again. Once was enough. There are so many better places to eat in SanDiego. Wait! There was a complaint. The calamari. Don't order the calamari. It was rubbery and tasteless. That's it.

We had a great seat for the seven of us with such a beautiful view. We felt the service was good so we had no complaints. My steak in the sandwich was a little grisstley but not bad. No one else had any complaints and seemed to enjoy their choices. My husband especially enjoyed the raw oysters.and ordered two more for his dessert. The rest of us didn't leave room for dessert. Some took home their left overs.

Went there for Sunday brunch, we arrived early, it was quiet on the upper level and then got busier, really nice ambience. The lower floor was a lot busier as the buffet was located there. We went there because of the views, the buffet was good altough not outstanding, service was really good. I would consider Harbor house as a most go for Sunday lunch with the family and have an easy day around the marina afterwards.

We really enjoyed the food here on Easter. It was a nice layout on the first floor and breakfast items were excellent. Although the decor is a bit dated and parts of the place seem to be neglected, the view of the bay was fantastic so long as your seat had a view of the windows. Overall a good time and we would buy this buffet again.

We were in San Diego for a conference and we were told we had to go to Coronado for dinner, our group went and we were not impressed. So the next night we made reservations at the Harbor House...I wish we would have eaten here first! My filet was one of the best I've ever had. Beautiful view. We ate out on the heated/covered patio. Birds got loud at times but it was still enjoyable!

Very expensive for the amount of food received. Drinks were also overpriced; $12.95 for a common Margarita. The Harbor House is in a great location. It is in the center of Fishermen's Village and overlooks the bay and marina.

Lunch prices are equivalent to dinner prices elsewhere. Cut the humongous portions in half and cut the prices in half. The fish in the fish tacos was watery and tasteless. Would not recommend.

We felt the value was less than expected because the food was just ok. For the price we expected the food to be much better. Service was good, staff was friendly, but we can find other restaurants with better food more reasonably priced.

I went to Harbor House about 20 years ago and enjoyed it then, and this trip was also good. Our server was very nice and efficient. The property was well maintained, and the food was good, solid seaside fare. I had the calamari appetizer which was delicious and large enough to be an entree. The 3 others in the party had an assortment of fried and grilled seafood which was all very good. The view of the water and the activities along the harbor walk all added to the enjoyment of the evening.

Wonderful location and view of the harbor if you are in the Seaport Village area. Service was very gracious and the menu had a great selection of seafood. I enjoyed the Maui chicken, and the key lime pie was excellent. Parking was rough--but this isn't the fault of the restaurant!

Thought this would be a nice place to get some quality seafood. Portions were small and tasteless and expensive - $60 for me and my daughter with no drinks or appetizers. You can get a better seafood meal next store at Cheesecake Factory for less. I cannot recommend this restaurant. More of a tourist trap than anything else.

We were seated at a table in the middle of a walkway. we asked to be seated at one of the 3 empty tables against the glass, but we were told there were for a bigger party. Then during the meal, 3 other couples were seated at those tables-separately. The hostesses were kinda rude and basically lied to my wife and I. Other than that, it was a pleasurable experience.

This restaurant was a last minute decision because one of the other board walk restaurants messed up our reservations. I was able to make this reservation in 2 minutes and was accommodated for a party of 8 within 20 minutes. Amazing speed and cordial service. The food was delicious. Even my picky kids loved the food. The salmon that I ordered was moist and my friend ordered the salmon burger and raved about it. And the restaurant was soooo quiet! My friend noticed how there wasn't loud music or a loud tv blaring the entire time. Loved it!!

Great food, terrible service. We were there over 2 hours due to crazy wait time for bread, appetizers, main course, and dessert. The server took a long time to come back for everything and never apologized or even told us they were behind or whatever; when she came back at the end she asked if we wanted dessert, my husband already had ordered dessert from her!? Not sure if the server was new or just was not meant to be a food server. The place was not very busy and so many people were waiting for the same server we had. We have been here before and had good service (lunch time though).

I took my girlfriend on a dinner date to this place, because it has a lot of character and it has an amazing view of the bay and Coronado Island. In my Open Table reservation I made a request about where I wanted to be seated and when I reminded the hostess, she gave me an answer basically saying that she wasn't going to try that and ignored it. Then we were offered to seat in a very high traffic area having other tables available in more desirable locations. The service from the waitress it was excellent. My girlfriend ordered a risotto with chicken and the chicken tasted like fish, it was sent back and got another one without the chicken and my girlfriend still didn't like it. The manager came over and apologized, that was nice.

We were seated on the covered and heated outdoor patio. The view is great, and as long as you can get someone to light your overhead heater, the temperature is also great in February. The pace of the dinner reminded me of a lazy evening in France or Italy. It took us nearly 3 hours after being sat to get our drinks from the bar, then order our appetizers, receive and eat out appetizers, then order our entrees, receive and eat our entrees, have our table cleared and leftovers packed, get the dessert tray to the table, order dessert and finally receive and eat dessert. We never even reordered bar drinks. Our waiter was doing a stellar job despite the fact that he had 9 tables. The delay was only welcome because we had no other plans.
