A word from Hapa Sushi Grill and Sake Bar Lodo
The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they’re Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.Continued

  • "We went to Hapa prior to our Mammoth game, lots of good food and fun!"

  • "The happy hour menu is great and makes dining at hapa much more affordable. Not sure when it starts, but ends at 5:30. The only blip in the experience was that the waiter didn't believe us when we told him one of our roles didn't come, but he put the order in again anyways."

  • "It's hard to mess up good sushi, I've rarely had any bad. But this restaurant kind off added their own twist to the coupling of flavors. Unique, but standard enough to entice a Sushi beginner. I liked it."

  • "I've been a regular of Hapa's for several years but only recently went to this location in LoDo, I normally frequent the ones in Cherry Creek and Boulder. This location is a little bit smaller than the others, and the bar is a little bit cramped during busy hours, but it definitely doesn't negatively affect the dining experience. The Philly roll is my absolute favorite! But you really can't go wrong with whatever you pick :) friendly helpful staff as well!"

  • "This was our first visit to the LODO location - we frequent the Hapa Sushi at Landmark at least three times a month. The menu at LODO was the same, the service equally competent, the food excellent as always. We like the ambience at Landmark better because it is a newer space (and much closer to where we live). That said, you CANNOT BEAT Hapa Sushi's Happy Hour menu. We don't drink so we go exclusively for the food. The variety is outstanding and every item is DELICIOUS."

  • "The restaurant week menu was excellent. The Poke was huge, just perfect for two by itself. The surf and turf was amazing. The staff was nice enough to bring out an extra dessert for my girlfriend's birthday. Great time, great llace I would definately reccomend Hapa to anyone."

  • "The food is always great here. This was the first time my wife and I went to this location. It is in a great downtown location, but the noise level was a crazy. I felt like I had to yell at my wife our entire conversation. The waitress and hostess were mediocre. They seemed rushed and minimally attentive."

  • "Very much a busy place but it won't be anything you will be inconvenienced from due to the quick service, energic sushi bar, warm staff, and how good the sushi will be. I enjoyed our dinner especially the peach sake which will make that special someone happy for the rest of the night."

  • "The restaurant was packed, and we didn't actually get our table until 8:00 (had a 7:30 reservation). Granted it was Valentine's Day, but they should have done a much better job anticipating the number of tables they were seating. After we did sit down, the service was excellent and everything we ordered came out much quicker than we anticipated. The food was also delicious."

  • "My wife and I made reservations at Hapa for Valentine's day. We arrived a little early, but they were able to seat us immediately. We had a very friendly server. Took maybe five minutes for us to get our soup appetizer. Our sushi rolls arrived 10 minutes or so after we ordered them. Food was prepared and presented well. My only critique is that I felt the pricing was a little higher than I would have expected. Would definitely go back."

  • "We tried this place for the first time on Valentine's Day, and it was wonderful. We showed up prior to our reservation time, but we were seated right away anyway. The service was exemplary - our server was knowledgeable and friendly and offered recommendations to us for our first sake experience. :) The food was amazing - especially the specials for the evening. We did send back one of our appetizers that was just not very good, and we had no issues with doing so - the manager came over to our table within 2 minutes of us sending the item back to apologize. All in all a very great experience - will definitely recommend!"

  • "We went to Hapa for the late night happy hour. The server was very attentive and friendly even though it was already 10:30pm when we arrived to the restaurant. The restaurant is lively and well decorated. The food is good as well but not the best sushi I have had in town. My favorite dish that we ordered were the spicy tuna nachos. They were AMAZING and are definitely worth ordering. Overall it was a great value for the price and we will definitely return for another happy hour."

  • "We ate here for valentines day an had a great time! We were a little late for our reservations, but they still accommodated us and we didn't have to wait too long. The atmosphere was very nice. Not too loud. Lighting was nice. We were able to have a nice conversation while still having fun. The food was good... Not the best sushi I've ever had, but I was good! Good for date night! Our waiter was awesome! I can't remember his name, but he took good care of us, recommended wines an sake and had a good energy. We enjoyed ourselves!"

  • "We had a wonderful experience here for a date night. We really appreciated all the suggestions our waiter made. The best part of our meal was the booty call roll which included a whole lobster tail. While pricy, it was definitely worth it. Both of us also really loved the modern space of the restaurant and were lucky to be seated right on the edge of the balcony overlooking the lower floor. Great time and great people watching! We will definitely be back."

  • "Waiters need to better work tables and not go past tables, at times we needed refills, or order items. We had to ask someone else for our check since out waiter was AWOL."

  • "The best sushi in the world couldn't make up for how absolutely terrible the service was. I'll never go back. The waitstaff bordered on rude and was, at best, thoughtless. They hadn't set places for us, despite a reservation, so set the table over our shoulders. Our sake came without cups and I had to ask for them (and she brought two flasks, instead of two single-servings, which probably borders on over-serving). We were asked to bus our own table. A manager hurrying past smacked a bus tray into the back of my head and didn't stop for so much as a "sorry!" And then the waitress helped herself to a generous tip by not bringing any change -- she asked, but at that point, we were so desperate to get out of there, it wasn't worth the fight."

  • "I have been to 4 different Hapa's and this one is my least favorite. Landmark or Cherry Creek Hapa is much better. Not sure if it was an off night for them or what, but was not impressed at all by the quality of the sushi."

  • "Once again, we had a wonderful dining experience from the food to the service to the ambiance..... A question for Open Table...this restaurant is on the list as a 1000 point reward when dining there. I notice that I only received 100 points for the visit. Could you tell me why? Thanks"

  • "We made reservations with Open Table and were promptly seated when we arrived. They led us upstairs to a slick upstairs restaurant and we ordered a lot of sushi and it was all very delicious - particularly the white tuna which was excellent. The service was fantastic - our waiter was extremely attentive and the food arrived promptly. We dined with our two children and that worked great as well. The restaurant was a little loud - although that's to be expected given that it was around 7pm on a Sat. dining at a popular bar/restaurant in Denver. But the ambiance was cool, the food was great, the service was fantastic and it was a great place and I'd recommend it."

  • "My boyfriend and I checked out Hapa Sushi Bar in LoDo last Saturday after reading about their extensive happy hour offerings. This place did not disappoint! They have about 10 different rolls priced for Happy Hour (2 for $7) and awesome specials on Sake and other drinks. The "Magic Mushroom" appetizer was one of the best food items I have ever tried and we had an abundance of food and drink choices all for under $45. The atmosphere is quiet and hip all at the same time. A definite must for anyone in the Lower Downtown area!"

  • "And I liked it. The food was great and even though I knew nothing about sushi and what I would like or how it worked the waitress was more than helpful. Sake is not for me that is for sure but the sushi and the teriyaki beef is great."
