Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar - Landmark in Greenwood VillageI'm Hapa; Lives up to my standardsThe service could be better but overall the food is outstanding and the ambience is perfect. I'm from Hawai'i and know what good sushi is from horrible artificial sushi. If you are looking for a traditional sushi place, this place is not for you. The food here is HAPA; what we in Hawai'i call a fine blend of Asian and Western Culture. The sushi here is creative, ranging from beginner rolls to Hapa Originals, and much more. The Kalua Pork bowl reminded me of Lua'us back home! I recommend this restaurant for the adventurers to those who don't lead off the path. Expect a relaxing time, I spent almost 2 hours there, don't forget dessert (Mochi Ice cream)!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMMother's Day SpecialThe food was wonderful. Monkey brain, tuna sushi cubed, stuffed crabmeat scallops are all artfully sliced, cooked and presented...
Our server was very observant and understood good service and table clearing...
Restaurant is clean and modern...
My only wish was that the music in the background was less "drone marching" and more soothing, classical maybe? The music played made me feel like I was in a bee hive and that I should be moving along to go do my work.....5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat neighborhood sushiHapa has become one of our favorite end of the week rewards. Our favorite place to sit is in the comfy lounge/bar. The bartending staff are knowledgeable, fun, and create a nice dining environment. Don't miss the XXX Roll and the Colorado Sashimi. Outstanding sushi in the Greenwood Village neighborhood.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWe usually frequent the HapaWe usually frequent the Hapa locations in Boulder, but met folks in Greenwood Village this time. The Greenwood Village location is HUGE in comparison to the Boulder Pearl street location. Food is consistently good and our server was attentive, filling beverages when they needed to be and checking in when necessary. I would definitely go to the Greenwood Village location with a larger group due to the large dining space, but would feel limited by this in the Boulder locations.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful!Had dinner with some girlfriends and it was amazing! Our server was great and let us have our space while we talked and caught up with each other. We never felt rushed and the food was amazing! Wonderful restaurant and will come again!4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place for SushiFood was good. Ambiance was also nice. Overall good experience.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMYumminessIt's always too loud to really enjoy conversation, but the food is good. I had forgotten my ID and the waitress kept apologizing about not being able to serve me. I was fine with it; it was my fault for not having my ID on me. I think one apology would have been ok. The food is always great at Hapa. We always spend too much money, but happily do it.
The calamari is our favorite. I don't love the dipping sauce, but the calamari itself is tasty and divine.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMNot enough time to review, just go!The bar area seemed rather small, but I didn't hang out over there... it just looked cramped. Otherwise, this was my first time at Hapa and I loved it!!! I brought my wife there for her birthday and we had a fantastic time! The sushi was amazing, the service was great and the Hapa beer was pretty good too! I don't have enough time right now to tell you how great everything was on an individual level, just go here and eat!!!!4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMRare fish...um um good!Consistently good food and service in the burbs. This visit we sat at the sushi bar and had exceptional service from the sushi chef "J". The fish was fresh, well prepared, and nicely presented. We felt like "J" really wanted us to have a great meal. In addition, we were accompanied by one of our children. The waiter and "j" went out of their way to talk to her, mke sure she hd a good time, and overall make her feel special. after all, she was the only minor in the restaurant.4/3/2013 12:00:00 AMReally excellent sushi andReally excellent sushi and I don't generally like sushi! Wait-staff was pleasant and the live jazz band was really a nice touch.4/2/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Sushi? Gotta give Hapa a tryAlways fun, went with another couple and had a great time. I am a huge Hapa fan for their unique rolls, sauces, and presentation. This time, the bonus was service, dude was fantastic...he was funny, prompt, and very courteous. Wish I remembered his name as I'd definitely recommend him.
Go for the 69 roll and i always recommended sashimi. Will be back time and time again!!3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Hapa's! Great atmosphere!Love Hapa's! Great atmosphere! Had live jazz music on a Tuesday night. Was very comfortable.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMI had a really nice time withI had a really nice time with my date there that night.3/22/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat sushi. Only wish theyGreat sushi. Only wish they would find better names for some of their rolls. The sexually themed names are neither original nor clever...just crude, in my opinion.3/18/2013 12:00:00 AMService and food was greatService and food was great as usual. A prep person was blending something 4 or 5 times that was very loud. We had to stop our conversation because it was so loud. We all wondered why that could not have been done in the back kitchen.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFresh and Tasty. A fun atmosphere,Fresh and Tasty. A fun atmosphere, but a bit pricey. Plan on $40-$50 per person.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AM
