A word from Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar - Landmark in Greenwood Village
The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different sytles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun!Continued

  • "They have great original sushi roll choices and of course the classics as well. The place was packed on a Tuesday night--you know it's a neighborhood favorite! Great quick service--we've never been disappointed."

  • "It was great but after every time out plate looked somewhat finished, a second after our wait or would come to us and take it"

  • "Great local sushi restaurant with a great selection of happy hour foods. Brought a friend from Portland and she was impressed. Can't miss the Nachos."

  • "One of our favorite happy hours and we especially like the Landmark location because it has so much free parking around the restaurant. Happy hour includes reduced prices on alcoholic beverages- I like the regular sake but my family also likes the vanilla and purple passion The appetizers are incredible- my all-time favorites, the magic mushrooms and spicy tuna nachos with chopped avocado and mango. The rolls are great as well, my favorite, the salmon and avocado - I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order at Hapa."

  • "This was a surprise happenstance and I can't wait to repeat the experience! The music was a bit loud for conversation, but overall, the experience was wonderful."

  • "Absolutely one of the best Happy Hour restaurants! Great sushi and great service!"

  • "While some common sushi items can be found, the unique choices that round out the menu is what really makes Hapa a fun place to go. Quality and service seem to always be great, and the atmosphere is fun. Always a top-pick."

  • "Landmark Hapa has an outstanding happy hour as do all of the Hapa Sushi restaurants in the metro area. Great deal on appetizers (magic mushrooms my personal favorite) and rolls (salmon/avocado my favorite). Staff is friendly and service is attentive."

  • "This was our first time visiting and we really enjoyed our experience. The food was very good. Our appetizers and sushi arrived with attractive and tasty garnishes. Our server was very attentive and we got our food right away even though the restaurant was busy. If nearby parking is full there is a free garage you can park in."

  • "We really enjoyed the lively atmosphere of Hapa Sushi and had a fun celebration dinner there. We were a party of 5 and were tucked into a four top table on a busy Friday evening. It was bustling and we enjoyed good and quick service. Perhaps even a bit rushed. Although we managed to linger and order a second round of sushi and drinks as the evening progressed. The waiter wasn't over friendly, but very efficient and everything was as ordered. I like that kind of waiter! Thanks Hapa. Great evening."

  • "Food was, as usual, very good and Hapa almost always has a fun vibe and cool ambience. We had a horrible waiter though - which is atypical - but it won't keep us from going back."

  • "EVERYTHING was great except for one important thing... Water! All I wanted was water to drink. My wife ordered hot tea and received it quickly. I didn't have water for 10-15 minutes! We were served our delicious sushi before I had a single glass of water. Everything else was great!"

  • "I've been to Hapas at Landmark quite a few times and I don't think I'll be coming back. All the rolls with fish we got all tasted gamy. The service was also sub standard. We were waiting for a long time for refills on drinks as well as the check, and when I looked over to where our waiter was he was chatting it up with a friend. Very disappointing from a restaurant I usually have high standards for and it will be a very long time if I ever do come back."

  • "Hapa is our regular date night sushi spot. I think there is a new chef though because though our rolls were delicious, they all fell apart. We aren't new to sushi or chopsticks and it was rather frustrating. I still love Hapa overall and though it may be awhile, will eventually return."

  • "Hapa always has amazing sushi rolls and waitstaff that makes great recommendations if you get lost. This was the first time I had alaso tried the dinner entrees and although a fairly limited selection, the 3 we ordered were all incredible! Highly recommend!"

  • "Sushi chef, Jason Lu, prepared some fantastic dishes for us! And the fish was high quality, super fresh. We'll be back soon!"

  • "Happa Landmark has always been one of our favorite sushi restaurants in town, however this is now our 3rd visit with poor service and pretentious atmosphere. The latest round of servers seem to have been recruited from Village Inn and certainly lack the once polished dialog and relaxed class we came to enjoy. We have always been a fan of their original sushi menu which now seems very focused on asparagus... why do 80% of the sushi rolls have to have asparagus?? Denver Sushi Restaurants seem to rise and fall in their popularity, it seems that Happa Landmark's time is quickly sun setting. Perhaps a change in management could save this favorite spot?"

  • "I've been to this Hapa many times because the food there is always great. This time, and we sat at the sushi bar, the service was rushed. Our waitress couldn't get us out fast enough. We finished a dish & she was there almost before we swallowed the food to take the plate away. She came by to see if we wanted anything else & we said not right now but we wanted to wait a few minutes & decide. Within 5 minutes she was back with the check saying we could pay her. Needless to say I wasn't happy with this treatment. Frankly I would have preferred her saying she needs to turn the seat so either order or get out of the way. Her tip reflected my opinion but I don't believe she even noticed."

  • "This was the best restaurant week restaurant ever. The food was amazing & bountiful! We will be back many times. Highly recommend this place."

  • "It turns out that there are musicians on Tuesday nights. We were unaware of this when booking our reservations, and the music and noise level was high. So much so that I noticed people sitting across from each other were busy on their phones while the music was playing rather than trying to talk. Same at my table. We ate and got out of there. I might go back again because the food was good, but not on a Tuesday night."

  • "Made a reservation which I had confirmed earlier. Arrived on time and our table was not ready. Stood in lounge area for 15 mins. Then the table we were sat at was next to a loud group. Even our server had trouble hearing us. We were given a couple free appetizers which was a nice gesture. The food was good, and the sake was alright. Hopefully the next time will go more smoothly."

  • "Great lunch spot also (though dinner's more fun w/ some sake & taking your time). Highly recommended."

  • "We did not enjoy this spot at all! We were stuffed into a tiny table by the fire exit. Our server was extremely aloof and did not care about recommendations at all. We felt as though just another table. For that kind of service, I would just stay in Boulder."

  • "Hapa Sushi is our "go-to" neighborhood place for sushi. We love sitting in the bar as well as the restaurant and are never disappointed with the food! The seasoned edamame, the Colorado Sashimi, and the Triple XXX roll are ALWAYS on our agenda.......love them! Hapa can make the evening perfect for a casual night out or a special night out......it fits for all occasions."

  • "Overall pretty good, the appetizer came out with our rolls, instead of before... no big deal in my book. They also forgot one of the rolls we ordered, but we did not get charged for it, and I was full with what we did have so no loss. Considering how busy it was being Valentines day I would say the service we had and the time it took to get our food was very good."

  • "Environment is very energetic and fun. Wait staff is extremely friendly. Our server specifically was highly knowledgeable about the food menu and was especially helpful with informing us about sake and making great recommendations to our liking. Very positive experience!"

  • "Delicious sushi! Tables are on top of each other though. Felt like I was eating dinner with people on both sides of us. Not very private and personal at all. And typical of the DTC area the majority of people there are thin and white. I only notice this because I am a minority and enjoy diversity.... Our server was busy but friendly. The girl at the counter when we first walked in was a little snobby and rude. But the food was fresh and really yummy... about what we expect to pay for a nice dinner for two also."

  • "The sushi here is great! Sushi chefs at the bar are very friendly and nice. Wait staff is incredible too~ Great location in LandMark. Can't go wrong with bringing a date, friends or just yourself! Loved it as usual! Valentine's Day was special!"

  • "We had a reservation for 6:00. We arrived 9 minutes late. The hostess made our group stand there for another 10 minutes because they said they were preparing our table. They then sat us at a table that was ready and open the whole time we were standing there. Very bad business practice."

  • "My wife and I simply love this gem of a sushi restaurant! The happy hour specials are truly incredible."
    Dined on 2/12/2014
  • "I know this is a popular place, but I am not a fan. The sushi menu was not exciting, with lots of the same ingredients recycled over and over. The appetizer calamari was bad -- in fact the server told us it was the #1 complaint in the restaurant. Nothing we ate was particularly good. There are too many choices in the Landmark to go back here."

  • "The Happy Hour specials are excellent. We always have great service and great food."

  • "Food was fantastic!! The Multiple Orgasm Roll was amazing!! Booty call roll is over-rated, lobster tail on it tasted like it had been frozen and thawed multiple times. Seared ahi was delicious, sweet and spicy, crunch and melting in your mouth."

  • "It's not Sushi Den but it's alot closer if you live south. Clever menu, interesting decor, good service and lots of great sake. Also some of the cooked apperizers - like Monkey Brain - are excellent. All in all a strong choice."
    Dined on 2/4/2014
  • "We love sushi and trying to find a neighborhood gem since moving to the area less than a year ago. We have found that gem. Outstanding and knowledgeable staff. The Monkey Brain was scrumptious, all sashimi was delectable, and every roll was phenomenal! We will be back!!!"

  • "Showed up very early due to finishing up a prior event early. Sat at the the bar and had a few drinks and appetizers, and chatted with the bar staff. Those guys are great and friendly! Learned what Black and Gold chilled Sake is all about. Manager got us seated earlier than our reservation was scheduled. Enjoyed the Multiple Orgasm and Surf and Turf rolls. Recommend highly and will return definitely. Thanks wait staff and hostess's."
