  • "We loved the shrimp & grits and ribeye steak! The service was very good as well and I would recommend this restaurant for a special occasion for sure."

  • "There's a few key spots in Denton, and Hannah's is one of our favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious, flavorful and cooked to perfection. You can't go wrong with their Scallops and Risotto. Service is impeccable. I suggest making a reservation but they will always try to accommodate your party. If you have food allergies, have no fear as their staff will gladly attend to your needs."

  • "Arrived for dinner at 5:50 pm; waiter said the specials would be out by 6:15-6:30 as the kitchen was a behind in prepping. He incorrectly described French onion soup as having a large cheese crisp on top (turned out to be like a cheese sandwich on top); it was tasty but unlike a traditional French onion soup taste. When asked to describe a "cherry veal demi-glaze" on one of the dishes he was unable. After ordering soup and waiting for quite awhile, we asked why the wait was so long, and he again mentioned the kitchen was behind in prepping and it was stressing him out. Brought wine decanter with chips around the top; requested one without and he wasn't sure they had any without chips; he returned with one that did not have chips."

  • "I had the salmon and it was very good and a beer that was tastey, but I thought it was a bit loud. I couldn't hear my date to well so I had to awkwardly lean in a lot. None the less it was a nice fancy place good for special occasions and be ready to spend some $$$$"

  • "Great food with unique menu items. The sesame crusted ahi tuna was amazing. Throw in the wasabi mashed potatoes and you never want the meal to end."

  • "My wife and I needed a night to celebrate some work successes, and looked for something special in Denton, and Hannah's was JUST the spot. It's rare that you go to a place and feel at home, it's so nice to have a place that's a real treat. Eclectic, creative menu, and dynamic service...felt almost old-world in their service. Also, great sound deadening in the dining area, so we could actually HEAR each other talk!!"

  • "Hannah's Brunch is most excellent. The blue crab omelet is a foodies treat. I am not a bread lover but the bread basket with the muffins and scones had me changing my tune."

  • "My wife and I love coming to this restaurant and will get excited months in advance. We were really thankful to have Ross as our waiter again, because he is friendly, knowledgeable, and is a wonderful server. We can't wait to visit again!!!"

  • "If you enjoy fine dining, then Hannah's Off The Square is the place to go. And when I say "fine dining", I mean at least 4-star, high quality food that is not only a joy to the palate, but a delight to the eye as well. Each dish is visually pleasing, wonderfully aromatic, and a wonderful exploration of flavors to please just about any taste. The wine list is highly impressive, the cocktail menu is a fabulous adventure, and even the appetizers are fantastic! And the wait staff is very polite, enjoyable to be around, and highly knowledgeable about each dish that is offered. Truly, a lovely dining experience no matter the occasion."

  • "We have eaten at Hannah 's on several occasions prior and been completely satisfied. This Sunday brunch was our first at Hannah's and they did NOT disappoint! The brunch selection was varied and they also offered all of their dishes in a gluten free version. They are very conscience of gluten intolerance and very knowledgeable about my dietary restriction. They even made me a GFree Bloody Mary...the base was made from fresh tomatoes and was tastefully done and very enjoyable. I had the Blue Crab Omelet and my husband had the Migas. My omelet was perfectly done with an impressive about of crab. My husband enjoyed the Migas overall but felt it was a little lack luster compared to other meals we have had. Overall, great experience!"

  • "While I keep returning time and again to Hannah's for the exceptional food and service, the wait continues to be such a problem for the kitchen. Hire more cooks or help the kitchen team time the delivery of the courses. Once again, we waited between finishing our salads to the delivery of the entrées over 30 minutes. The servers always seem frustrated with having to make apologies for the kitchen. However, once all the entrees arrived and every guest tried something different we were and have never been disappointed. The seasonal addition of the Shrimp and Grits was a real treat and our guests enjoyed the Chicken Tamales and the what looked to be the best bacon burger in the world. Delicious Blood Orange and Pear Mimosa's to start!"

  • "This was my first visit to Hannah's. My daughter was attending Freshman Orientation at UNT and I wanted to find a nice restaurant to take her to the night before. Well, we could not have chosen a better place. My daughter had the Gnocchi, and I had the Sea Scallops. Both were outstanding! The service was excellent as well. Our server was very attentive and took great care of us. I highly recommend Hannah's to anyone looking for a great upscale dining experience."

  • "I would have never heard of Hannah's had it not been for my Theory teacher at UNT, his wife is the executive chef. So I took my wife there for our anniversary and it was well worth every single penny. Our waiter was attentive even though another table was monopolizing his time. The food was superb, absolutely superb! The wine selection was also stunning and they have a large by the glass selection. Our next trip is for brunch or perhaps the tapas menu!"

  • "We have eaten at Hannah's for lunch, dinner and now Sunday brunch and all are good! Great food & great service!"

  • "Although i have given a rating above as good, i was disappointed in a couple of things. The salad was just ordinary. I ordered the Rib Eye steak and at $48 i expected a premium steak. It was good but not great. It was accompanied by 3 very small potatoes and 2 tiny carrot strips, neither of which was inspiring. As i was beginning to eat the main course, i ordered another glass of wine; unfortunately the glass did not arrive until i was nearly done with my meal. We went to Hannah's expecting to have a fine dining experience but it did not meet our expectations. At the prices we paid, we could have gone to a very nice restaurant that would have met our expectations!"

  • "Hannah's did a phenomenal job hosting a big party we had. First off I had called several times that day to change the number of guests that were attending. They were very accommodating each time. We had 21 people all separate tabs, came in at all separate times and we just had an amazing time. There was not one complaint from anyone about the service or the food. "

  • "We love the breakfast trout. The blue crab omlette is delicious, our kids love the waffles. We have not had anything here that has not been outstanding. The manager, Jen is a jewel and one of the main reasons we continue to return! "

  • "Hannah's was a big disappointment, my meal was terrible the $38 dollar sirloin as not worth it. The meat was very tough and lacked flavor. The waiter was advised and all he said was that he would mention it to the Chef. This was our anniversary and they did even acknowledge it or ask if special occasion. This was our first time eating here and will not return, there are too many good restaurants in the price point. A great example is a new restaurant call Twelve Stones in Flower Mound, it is the same distance for us in Lantana, outstanding food and service. They will now get my business. "

  • "Great ambiance - and fantastic food. Best steak I've had in North Texas. Another person in my party had the Osso Bucco (which I sampled) and that was outstanding as well. The tab was a little steep, but restaurants in general are gouging us more and more these days. "

  • "Sadly, we thought Hannah's could match past exceptional dining experiences, but, somehow they weren't able to manage a large party in another room, along with regular dinner guests in their main dining room. We brought out of town guests to one of our "favorite" Denton restaurants and thought after selecting a pricey bottle of wine and many courses, we would have better service. Our waiter was embarrassed our dinner order took over 50 minutes to come to our table. The wine was finished, the appetizers and salads were all gone and we weren't even hungry anymore. I hope Hannah's can add some staff to the cooking team. "Queenie's" has jumped to the top of our local fine dining list."

  • "I took my Mom here and she is not comfortable eating out in many places and often can find something to complain about for every meal...this was a home run. Lovely atmosphere; great service, but not over-bearing; excellent food and a nice lunch package that is a superb value. "

  • "I made reservations at Hannah's off the Square to celebrate my graduation from UNT. Since I am not from the Denton area I did not have any idea of where I would take may family to dinner. I used the posted reviews and the ease of making reservations as my criteria. I was not disappointed. This is a high-end restaurant with excellent food and service so be ready to pay a little more. "

  • "We decided to take my mom here for mothers day, seeing how she doesn't get to eat at nice places too often. She was absolutely blown away and loved everything she tasted. She kept mentioning how pretty everything was and how delicious the food was. It really really made our mothers day extra special!! She said it was the best one yet! Thank you so much for your great service and uniquely delicious food!!"

  • "Hi - I travel quite a bit and always looking for great new places to go so now when in the Dallas area I have added Hannah's to my list. It's a bit of a drive to Denton TX but worth it - food, wine and ambience are perfect. Not fussy but warm and friendly and upscale enough to match the food. Food was delicious - perfectly prepared (I had the veal shank special). Can't wait to go back."

  • "The food was amazing, the service was great. The menu is very upscale but not too over the top, with great rustic choices, and the execution was well refined. The lobster risotto was fantastic and the veal chop was perfectly done. "

  • "Very nice restaurant that offers an excellent menu without the 'stuffiness' of other high end restaurants. Was a good choice for a special evening."

  • "This is one of my favorite places to dine in Denton. I was disappointed. The waiter was pesky and my husband and daughter's dinner was served at room temperature. I believe this to be a fluke, and will visit again in a month or so. "

  • "Hannah's off the Square is such a cool, unique place. It will satisfy a foodies pallet or even those less adventures. You can get amazing gluten free or vegan options. LOVE it!"

  • "Wonderful service and excellent food. The daily specials offer a variety of options. This is my favorite place to go for a special occasion. The white truffle Pom frites are a must!"

  • "My husband had the prosciutto wrapped chicken with butternut risotto, and I had the sesame encrusted Ahi tuna. Sounds good, huh? We ate with four other friends, and enjoyed the rustic charm of Hannah's. Two of our friends were being vegetarian that night, and LOVED the "meatloaf" made with quinoa and black beans. We all shared the smoked salmon plate - probably better for four people, not six, but it was a crowd pleaser. Our friendly server forgot a couple of things we ordered, but at least he remembered who was gluten free at the table! This was a great place with unique, high quality ingredients."

  • "One of the best dinners in recent memory. Great to be able to go to a place with excellent food without the attitude! Able to carry on a conversation in a normal voice without having to shout above the noise level. All in all, delightful evening. Good to have a parking lot without having to pay additional charges for valet. Will definitely return!"

  • "Interesting menu (I mean that in a good way). Food is delicious and atmosphere is lovely and relaxing without being stuffy. Our waiter disappeared after clearing the main course dishes. But that aside, we had a great dinner and a wonderful evening. I'll definitely go again."
