Hana Japanese RestaurantWonderful findAlthough we are locals, Hana is worth a drive up from San Francisco just to enjoy this wonderful food. Every single bite would be worth the time. Everything tastes amazingly fresh and clean. They don't hide their food with pounds of rice and thick layers of hot mustard and sticky sauces. The freshly made Wasabi and the black sesame ice cream are absolute must-haves. The service is friendly, professional and efficient. Even though they're in a strip mall, albeit an upscale one, the atmosphere is beautifully understated Asian once you pass through the doors. Hana is not inexpensive but I also cannot say that it's overpriced. Their food is not only fresh but also very authentic (I'm from Japan). Eventually, this is very competitive to the many popular Japanese restaurants in Bay Area.
I'd like to add a special note that their lunch manager, Danny has the most superior skills to provide hospitality to his customers.
I'm sure you would be pleased with dinner time although they are often packed and service could be slow, but I definitely suggest to try lunch whenever you have a chance.
They have a special daily menu for sushi lover which is very fresh and flavorful, but you won't regret any of non-sushi menu (I personally recommend Ten-don, Sea-food Katsu, Chicken-Katsu).
