"AMAZING SUSHI... Best I have had in a long time. Fresh, great variety. I was a little put off by it being in the mall, but that was quickly overcome by the service and food."

"Excellent food and service. We've eaten at Katsuya, Chaya, and most of the places on Sawtelle. My girlfriend commented that this was the best Japanese restaurant we've been to!"

"The food was not what I expected..very poor quality. The service was okay, the wait for our food was unbearable. We were there at 7ish didnt even get a chance to eat dessert and it was ten o'clock.. We were there for Valentines day and had order the Valentine special, it shouldn't take three hours or more for a 7 course meal.."

"We were looking forward to dining at Hamamori and were impressed with the lovely decor. But, things went downhill fast. About 15 minutes after ordering and after being served salads and miso soup, we were told they we out of Uni and Amaebi (sushi staples). Worse yet, they had the audacity to offer frozen shrimp as an Amaebi (live shrimp) alternative. We declined. Frozen seafood, really. Service was also terrible. Some appetizers were served timely but others were served after the entrees and we had to keep asking about the status of items ordered, which is how we learned there was no King Crab for a featured roll. Sushi quality was average to poor (Tako). Pork belly and sake were the only decent items in an otherwise mediocre experience."
