Over-priced for mediocre small-portioned food. For instance, $17 for a "lobster pizza" which was maybe 10 inches in diameter with mostly cheese and barely a spattering of lobster pieces- an appetizer size. $10 for 2 cream crab croquettes smaller than a hard boiled egg. Sushi was ok but not great. The waitress was nice but has no idea what was going on and very awkward.

Food was fine. Rolls were thinner than the pictures in the menu suggest. Portions on the small side and ended up adding 4-5 other plates to our original order to feel like we had a meal. At least the fish did not seem old. Service attentive, mainly because for the most part we were the only ones dining there... on a Friday night, at 7PM. That should tell you a lot. Maybe try out their hot pot deal of buy 1 get 1 50% off?

This was our first visit to Hachi. The location is odd, right on busy El Camino Real and there is very little parking available in the lot shared with Domino's Pizza. The food was unusual as well as delicious. We had the opportunity to sample a number of tapas as well as a sake cocktail.

Had a unique experience at this place the other night. Walking in we noticed the hip lounge type atmosphere with house music playing. The friendly servers took good are of us even in recommending what to order. But the best part of this place is the food. The taste was very flavorful & we could tell tehy didn't skimp on the quality of ingredients. It is fine quality of ingredience they use for King crab creamy croquette. We also ordered garlic butter lobster pizza, porkchop delight that was unbelievable delicious! We ended with mango panna cotta which was light & creamy.

Came here with my gf to try this place since weve been passing by quite often on our way home. Being regulars @ Sushi Tomi, we have high standards, but this place actually exceeded our expectations. We tried the porkchop delight & french kiss rolls & their pork belly skewers/fusion pizza. these are our new favorites! I also liked their selection of cold sake which went well with our meal. We have been wishing that sake was available @ Sushi Tomi. Will definitelly be back to try more!

Nice evening out, good presentation and creative menu, but average sushi. We will go back for a nice evening, or for the fusion drinks, or for the oyster specials.

Terrible parking situation, so try to car pool. Food was pretty good, but I would stick to the main food strips nearby next time. I'm unlikely yo return.

Went back a 2nd time & the food is still great! We ordered the high roller chirashi, which was fresh & fullfilling, the endless love roll, which contains lobster, the kalbi yakiniku pizza & the custard honey toast for dessert. Everything was fresh & delicious & the service was still friendly. We noticed they've added some flat screens, which made the wait for our food go by in no time. They also have many new menu items, & unique sake & shochu cocktails. We will definitely be back!!

Great restaurant, tasty dishes, and outstanding service. The only downfall is the location... kind of hidden away and limited parking. Other than that, I do recommend Hachi's for a nice dining experience.

The sushi was good. Certainly not outstanding, but definitely good. The service was arbitrary, almost like fishing -- sometimes, the waitstaff would be present, other times not. Definitely not the sort of place to go if you have anything less than an hour and a half for dinner.

The menu was surprisingly interesting and different. The sushi was good and the sushi pizza had a nice combination of flavors. The service could have been better and the wait staff should have been more knowledgeable on the menu.

This place is very randomly located along El Camino, you're likely to miss the tiny parking lot if you're not looking out for it after passing El Monte Ave (if you're heading south along El Camino). Also, looks dark and closed from the outside but that's because of the tinted glass. I've been here twice on a Sunday night and both times it's pretty kind of empty. Food was great! Pink Lady roll was pretty large indeed, 10 pieces of a normal sized roll. Fresh fish, yum! Could've ripened the avocado a bit more and had more of it in though. Unagi pie was certainly interesting, a bit too much sweet sauce but fresh take on the traditional eel. I've also had the True Love roll before, which was yummy!! and HUGE. Lots of filling.

This is a surprising hidden gem tucked away in a funky little strip of unremarkable shops but don't judge a book by its cover. The waitress really aimed to please and took lots of time explaining the complex and hilarious menu. lots of interesting delicious, fresh and cooked choices and great sake and cocktail options. We'll definitely be back!

My gf & I were very satisfied with our dinner here. We ordered sushi/sashimi,fusion tapas & shochu cocktails, & were not disappointed with anything. The cocktails were very refreshing & flavorful. All the sashimi we ordered was really fresh, & competively priced. The rolls were unique & bursting with flavor...my favorite was the true love roll. we also had the unagi pie, which was extremely tasty & loaded with unagi, & the "fusion" tonkatsu, which was also delicious. The service was also outstanding. The waitress was very friendly & helped us to decide on our choices. Everything she recommended was oishii & there was nothing "eew" about anything we had. We will def be back, as my gf noted they have premium sake imported from japan! 5*

We were disappointed in just about everything. The poor waitress was the only one serving, and it was nearly impossible to get her attention. The food ranged from unimpressive to ew, and we mostly stuck with the recommended items. We'd like to see this place do better, but we won't be returning unless there are some serious changes.
