  • "The setting is in a historic building in the FW Stockyards. The bar is something you have to experience (how many bars have saddles for seats?) I've eaten at H3 4 times now. I always take guests from out if town. BEST prime rib I've had. I've samples almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The service is exceptional as well. Great suggestions from the stater drink all the way to dessert."

  • "I recently took two friends for their first outing to the H3 for dinner. We had drinks, an appetizer, and the smoked sirloin, which has always been an excellent choice. This review is about this trip only. Our steaks came out and my friends were excellent and cooked just right. My steak was cooked just right but, had so much gristle that I would not eat it. I informed the waitress and the chef. The chef thanked me for being honest and left. I later wrote management about the food on this night and he apologized and promised to "make things right" That was 3/16/2014 and this is 3/27/2014. Still waiting. My friends and I have eaten at the H3 many times and have always, repeat always received the best in service and quality of food."

  • "Other than not being acknowledged for longer than I thought necessary by the hostesses, everything was great. Our waitress was friendly and efficient and food was great as always. Recommend making a reservation if possible bc there is always a long wait (1.5-2hrs). We had a 7:30 reservation, was at our table by 7:40 and done eating by 8:30. Will definitely return the next time we are in town."

  • "It's called H3 Ranch, so you have been clued in on the ambience. Very cowboy. The hotel is historic and gorgeous, take a look around before or after. There were 4 of us, each steak was perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sides were tasty. Nothing too fancy about any of the food but you don't need fancy to be delicious. Bonus was the Turtle Pie Ice Cream Cake dessert - one of my all time favorites that I haven't found offered anywhere in years. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be!"

  • "Go there if you like a great steak cooked to your favor. Service was good but stay away if you're expecting a quiet cozy booth or table. They don't exist. Obviously used to acomodating larger groups. Noisy atmosphere and left with strong smoky smell of hickory due to the open cooking area. I would return though, but without wife."

  • "We took out-of-town guests to H3 for dinner, which was also our first visit, so we had fingers crossed for a good experience. H3 came through for us with a 5-Star experience! Outstanding food, great table near the roaring ovens of the kitchen area, excellent service, and just a lot of fun. More food than you can possibly eat! The ribs are out of this world; tender, flavorful, and plentiful. Definitely going back!"

  • "Took my wife here for a belated Valentine's outing. We had been there previously and thoroughly enjoyed it. For our previous visit, we were seated in the back, and gave a more romantic feeling. This time however, we were seated next to the grill, which was fine, the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. Everything else was just as we remembered it. Great service and great food."

  • "Had a 8pm dinner reservation and at that time the restaurant was already out of its Smoked Sirloin! Seriously at 8pm? I opted for the Cedar Plank Salmon which is normally excellent. It came to me undercooked as did the Filet Mignons ordered by the 3 people in our party. Not sure what was going on with the kitchen staff last Saturday night. The tragedy is the food is undercooked yet still have to pay for it. Certainly we could have asked to have the food cooked more, but it was already 9pm and 4 hungry people. So we accepted less and paid the same. I go here a lot as I live in FTW but it is always inconsistent which does get frustrating."

  • "We dined at H3 a couple of years ago with a large party so I chalked up the mistakes to the fact that we were pretty rowdy and it was a large order. Came back Sunday night with a friend from CA hoping he would enjoy the old west feel. Our waiter was nice but seemed rushed all night, steak was not very flavorful (especially for rib eye) and sides weren't special. Table side guacamole and salsa were great but H3 is off our list. Should have just gone to Steve Fields."

  • "We Love H3 and we come and have the best steak ever… It was a special day "Birthday" so we had the steak and add a lobster tail for both. the steak was perfection but the lobster tail was rubbery and not to good. I finally had enough and ask for them to cook it a little longer and it seem to be better, my husband was the same way but he ate it all as it was. not sure what happen on that… Even with that being said I will go back because they do such a great job on everything else..."

  • "Great bar scene and very friendly wait staff. Arrived an hour early for our reservation and were seated within 45 minutes. Overall the food was good with the exception of the ribs. I think I was given the very end of the slab. Mostly bone and grissle. very dry. Another person at our table ordered ribs and they looked much better. I should have sent them back but we were pressed for time. One order came out wothout shrimp which was part of the order. Quickly recognized by the waitor and corrected although it did take some time. Great atmosphere and comfortable setting. Will give it another try."

  • "This was our first time in H3. We arrived early for our 7:30pm reservation, which left us time to soak in the atmosphere in the bar area. It was crowded, which is a good thing, the drinks were excellent at just when it was time for our reservation, the little beeper went off a the nice hostess set us in a both. Our waitress was right on the spot, took our drink order then came back to go over the menu with us. We both ordered different steaks, and they were cooked just like we ask. Our waitress kept us supplied in hot bread and our glasses full. We had a wonderful time, and will come back for more. We both are from Alabama, still had a great evening."

  • "I loved everything at the H3 ranch. My strawberry margarita was as big as my head! It was made with fresh fruit and so delicious. The table side guacamole was perfect, just the right blend of creamy, tangy and spicy. My ribeye was so delicious and tender and with the right amount of seasoning, so the flavor wasn't ruined. My only regret was I couldn't get dessert because I was too full. :-)"

  • "ordered a ribeye, it was flat, tough and not marbled, flavor was not distincitive, i would guess it was not even the correct cut as ordered. ordered a marquirita, with Patron. inquired as it was set upon my table if it contained Patron (premium tequilia)...it did not and was promptly replaced. service was good, but food was poor and the drink was incorrect as well, disappointing to say the least."
