  • "Although the restaurant was in historical downtown Ft Worth Stockyards, this was not our finest dining experience. We went here for our 7th wedding anniversary dinner to try something on the upper end of steakhouses, well we were disappointed. My wife is highly allergic to black pepper, and although the waiter said he would advisethe cook staff, my wife had a reaction which ruined the rest of our evening. The food was ok and our waiter showedup when he felt like it."

  • "Bar none, the Flaming Tenderloin was the best steak I've ever eaten. Ordered medium-was cooked to perfection and so tender, you could cut w/a fork. Just the right amount of seasoning. Out waiter, Tony, was very attentive, always seeing to whatever you requested. We highly recommend."

  • "We are senior citizens. I wanted to treat my wife, stepson, and his wife, to a nice Saturday afternoon dinner in the Stockyards. I reserved a table for 4 at 4:30. When we arrived we were escorted through an extremely noisy bar area to a small room at the end of the bar. I asked the hostess to seat us somewhere less noisy, preferably in the dining area. She seemed confused about what to do and walked off. I escorted my wife to the dining room and selected one of the many vacant tables for us to sit in. We were told that the tables were for reservations only. I explained that we had a reservation for 4:30 and it had been confirmed earlier that day."

  • "This restaurant was on the cute corner of the stockyards old part of the town, and attached to the hotel. It had great atmosphere. The steaks were way over seasoned. The guacamole was good, the waiter prepped it table side. The shrimp we added to the steak was good. Being as we were at the stockyards, was hoping for a wonderful steak. Disapointed in that part, however over all was good."

  • "After I sent my pork chop back 3 times due to being under cooked every one at my table was done eating befor I got my food back . I think I should have been compensated for some thing. If your going to cook pork make sure its cooked all the way through. It was good after i got it back for the third time but i had to put it in a togo box because everyone was done by the time i got it back .Not worth a 100 dollars for the meal in my opinion !"

The second visit to H3 was just as enjoyable as was the first. The food was great as was the service.   • "me and my wife ordered a special that cost $82 are total bill came out to be 125. with that being said my steak was great however my wife had to throw her state back on the grill because they cannot get it right the first time this is something that I would Texas Roadhouse her favorite place. I was trying to persuade her that there's better steak houses out there but this one did let me down. "

  • "Good food and nice staff, atmosphere is what you would expect in Stockyards. Cowboys and cowgirls having a nice night on the town, in a old saloon style setting with clean and classic decor. Had a multi layer dip for appetizer and the filet wrapped in bacon, I liked the baked potatoe better than the diced style potatoes. Overall was very satisfied, nice place would recommend for a special night but would say not the most romantic restaurant. But what is romantic in cow town, that's why God made Cowboys. "

  • "Everything started out fine, drinks arrived quickly, followed by salads and fresh bread. The problems started when the main course arrived halfway through the salads despite the place only being about half full. This is one of my pet peeves! The food was good, the corn on the cob too cold to melt butter, both entrees warm at best. I informed the waiter of my observations and he told me he would inform a manager. I expected to see a manager appear at the table to speak with us but the waiter re-appeared with the check (with $3 deducted for the cold corn) but a manager never came to our table. It's fairly obvious to me that the manager's nonchalant attitude towards customer satisfaction is the root of the problem."

My wife had filet which which was average restaurant quality, good but at their price point I think we both expected more. Nothing short of a tourist attraction. As a rancher, I probably expect more out of a steak than most, they really didn't come close to expectations."

  • "The setting is in a historic building in the FW Stockyards. The bar is something you have to experience (how many bars have saddles for seats?) I've eaten at H3 4 times now. I always take guests from out if town. BEST prime rib I've had. I've samples almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. The service is exceptional as well. Great suggestions from the stater drink all the way to dessert."

  • "I recently took two friends for their first outing to the H3 for dinner. We had drinks, an appetizer, and the smoked sirloin, which has always been an excellent choice. This review is about this trip only. Our steaks came out and my friends were excellent and cooked just right. My steak was cooked just right but, had so much gristle that I would not eat it. I informed the waitress and the chef. The chef thanked me for being honest and left. I later wrote management about the food on this night and he apologized and promised to "make things right" That was 3/16/2014 and this is 3/27/2014. Still waiting. My friends and I have eaten at the H3 many times and have always, repeat always received the best in service and quality of food."
