Gyu-Kaku - TorranceGood spotIt's a very good spot the food is great the staff is friendly and very helpful, would have given 5 stars all around but the way they bring the food out is a little erratic, there is no order the starters come out after some of the main courses, they bring all the food at once and it can get overwhelming. It would be nice if they paced the food for you because not only is it coming out to fast there is never enough room for everything and when we bring new people with us they fell rushed like I was the first time I ate here...6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMGood but LOUDI enjoy Gyu Kaku and go every couple of weeks. All day happy hour on Mondays is great, and I definitely recommend making a reservation if you want to get seated at a reasonable time. Otherwise, you will have to wait for at least an hour. Regular prices aren't too terrible but HH is a great deal. I just don't like how loud it gets because they blast this weird house/pop music and people are trying to talk really loudly over it.
The menu is pretty extensive and has a lot of variety for meat eaters, pescatarians, vegetarians, and vegan options (just ask for no butter!). The beer and cocktail selection is great too. HH prices for Sapporo - $1.50 draft! Can't beat that.
Fun cook-it-yourself dining experience.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food!Several items were noted to be either larger in size or a great portion served. Some new items were great and enjoyable. I do recommend the new item, wasbi fried shrimp was ws deliciou. The flavors were not overwhelming. The warm bananas and vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup was a hit with taking your taste buds to another level. This was a very enjoyable experience,5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMchange is goodi remember this place before it became such a hot spot - now you have to make a reservation waaaay in advance, but it's still worth it. the menu items changed a little and my favorite Starter Kit for $5 is now only available at lunch, but that's okay, it's still YUMMY! I love the filet mignon and the sukiyaki bibimbap! oh and the happy hour $1.50 beer!5/13/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat Japanese food experienceAnd you give your dining a twist by becoming the chef. Fun times grilling your food and the meats are so wonderful to the pallate5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMTastyThe vibe of the restaurant is spectacular. The service is great, and every now and then the manger would come to a table and check on you and I think that's good, from my experience are server came checked on us, the mangers came made sure everything was ok, so again the service is phenomenal. The food is great I like how they tell how long to cook the meat and how knowledgeable the servers are about the food and what is a must get. This would be my regular restaurant instead of going to Chill's. Everything on the menu is good and the drink Satatini (excuse me if I spelled it wrong) is a tasty alcohol drink. I would be back again.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicioussssFood and service was great... I recommend for ur appetizer the Calamari, Spicy tuna Volcano ..
