"Prior to our Sherman Oaks visit, I searched Open Table for restaurants near our hotel. I knew we would be arriving in town to check in to our hotel around rush hour, and figured it would be good to go ahead and book a table somewhere since it would probably be busy on a Friday night. We arrived to the restaurant and they had our reservation waiting. It was very busy, but the meal went off without a hitch, with plenty of attention on the items we ordered that we cooked on our own table. We chose the Gyu-Kaku dinner for two, and it was perfect, with tons of things to try (seafood, steak, Japanese potatoes, veggies, soup)....and a decadent dessert on top of that. It was a wonderful meal, and our waitress, Grace, was smart and charming."

"Restaurant was packed on a Monday night, but with our reservation, we were seated right away. Waitress was excellent - very friendly, kept things moving but didn't hover. Food was great, especially liked the bibimbap, kimchee and garlic shrimp. Happy Hour menu is a terrific deal. Will definitely go again. Reservation is essential."

"There were 2 couples. Me and my boyfriend chose the combo value meal and the other couple chose the Geisha meal. There was a lot more food than expected and the dessert was awesome. We chose the banana chocolate ice cream."

"Had a great time! Waitress was mostly good, but near the end kind of ignored us...four of us ended up eating the course for six. There were a couple other noisy parties next to us. I also think we were supposed to have an order of white rice and fried tofu that never came, but we didn't notice. Great food. Will always come back!"

"The food is great, if you know how to cook, or have someone sitting with you who does. I love the idea of cook-it yourself. Only problem, I had a lot of homework to do that night and was unable to do it because of the massive food coma I fell into. Oh well."
