  • "Our party of six went there to celebrate two birthdays. One birthday celebrant was a bit late due to wheelchair challenges, but the staff was accommodating and very gracious about it. Our server, Marissa, was informative, cheerful, and very attentive. She explained things to us and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. The spicy edamame and fried calamari appetizers were both good. We arrived during Happy Hour, so we were able to take advantage of some special pricing on both appetizers and entrees. There were three couples, and we all ordered the same Happy Hour dinner special for two for just under $40. It ended up being way too much food for us. Two orders may have been just right. It was a good dining experience."

  • "We made reservations with baby stroller accommodations ......and of course as soon as we get there we get attitude about possibly not being able to accommodate as we asked by the hostess which was very rude....then she called the manager thinking she would be pleasant and fix this, she also came at us with the same thing. After making it an unpleasant arrival in the beginning they finally were able to accommodate us....instead of making it a full pleasant experience, it was not they need to work on customer service...."

  • "Awesome prices on Beer! Sapporo 34oz $4.50 during Happy Hour, which is 75% of the time! Grill your own meet, as rare or well done as you want. Great Prices on Hanger Steak, and Toro Beef (Beef Bacon). Bacon Chips were awful though tasted like soft chicharones. You must try the Wasbai Shrimp!"

  • "I think because the grill is very much in front of you, asking any type of question would be daunting. But, the customer service is great and they make sure your first time with a plate is carefully told of. Fare warning, you might want more than you ordered because the beef is super delicious. On another note, be careful and always make a reservation and arrive 15 prior so you're not waiting too long. It gets poppin at 8PM."

Although my waitress wasn't as attentive as from my previous visits, i cannot rate them low based on one server, especially as I had great service before. ask for Anderson, he's great. I can never wait to go back."

  • "This place has really changed, there's no more all you can eat anything... I starved my boyfriend and myself thinking that it was still the same and it was still ALL YOU CAN EAT, but the meal portions for 2 people felt like the meal portions for that of 2 garden gnomes. All of the servers were "in training" but it's not rocket science to notice when your customer has an empty cup just sitting there and needs a refill... or when your customer looks bored. Or server walked by us and saw that our grill was smoking and didn't do anything, another server saw and said that that shouldn't have happened. Overall, I was really disappointed. It's not as great as it used to be and the noise level is outrageous. I don't plan on going back."

  • "I took my wife here for here Birthday and it was really fun cooking ourselves at the table and the food was so tasty I even ate my vegetables ! The Sukiaki was already cooked and came in a stone bowl and was one of my favorite dishes , then they brought us a variety of meat to grill and then they were my new favorites ! We will definitely be back and probably become regulars !"

  • "I made reservations stating it was our son's birthday and it wasn't recognized. We let it go..... He's 24 and probably grateful haha. We paid $100 not including drinks tax & tip...for the group rate (there were 5 of us) meat lovers menu. There really should be veggies included ... Instead of so much meat. Very tender & tasty meat! Lots of meat so much meat & we all thought veggies should be included and less meat. Did I mention there was an abundance of meat? 8-) Servers were nice & friendly but the lead talked so fast explaining the menu etc. Our dishes were piling up too. They sat 5 of us at a table for 4 & threw in a chair it was cramped & I sat there & couldn't reach the grill."

And now they are charging for garlic. They should let customers know other seasoning on the meat. I know some people don't know that. Top it off. Great customer services. Very friendly. The menu selections were fabulous, everything we grilled up was delicious. Boy were they busy! Even so, our waiter was friendly and attentive and did not rush us through our meal. The restaurant is noisy enough that I'm not concerned about keeping my 4 year old's chatter to a minimum but not so loud that we can't talk amongst ourselves. It's one of our regular dining spots. We love it!"

  • "My husband and I have been here 2 times now and we loved it both times. Great service! It's not a quiet place which bis great. We were with a big group the first time we went and the 2nd time we took our 3 children. Our kids had a great time, which you know that means Mom and Dad were happy. The only thing I hope to see different in the future is better appatizers! Was somewhat disappointed with what we got for apps. The entrées are great! So let's change up the apps. Maybe some Monkey Balls. Better sushi rolls to offer that sort of thing."

  • "First of all, the service was spectacular. A few friends and I began our evening at the bar enjoying the Happy Hour sake bombs. Afterward, we returned to the hostess booth where we were seated relatively quick--thankfully we made a reservation through OpenTable.com. The waitress was friendly, thorough, and always gave her recommendations that fit the needs of our group of four. It was a perfect opportunity for our group to reunite and reconnect over Japanese-style barbecue, with a bottle of sake of s'mores to top of the evening. The cuts of beef were varied and the table sauces allowed us all to try our own unique combinations of seasoning to the beef. Dinner became an activity as we all cooked our own cuts of beef! Highly recommend!"

  • "I've been to at least 6 different Gyu-Kaku locations (multiple times) and this by far is the worst Gyu-Kaku experience I have ever had. Upon arriving I checked in and was seated within 10 minutes, that was the best part of our meal. Our party of 2 ordered shortly after yet it took about 30-40 minutes after we placed our order, just to receive our mushroom medley and garlic spinach. It probably took another 10-15 minutes afterwards to receive any protein to bbq. Everything "marinated" came swimming in sauce and you could no longer enjoy any flavor of the meats. The beef tongue was extremely tough to chew as it was cut way too thick and arrived brown with major freezer burn. I am extremely disappointed and will not return or recommend!"

  • "Enjoyed the service, the people, the atmosphere, etc.! I normally venture here for an anniversary, birthday, happy hour. Lots of parking over winter break/christmas/holidays, which was nice. Victoria gardens becomes really packed, especially on weekends! Excellent staff & waiter. The manager was there I believe, which made the staff a bit better then before. However, I also believe that the waiter was an amazing waiter! He regularly came to check on my BF and I at the right moments and always asked if we needed anything! However, normal service isn't THAT amazing at this particular location. The waiters/waitresses here seem to not really care about his or her customers. Food is pretty delicious for American/Japanese BBQ."
