"I went with friends but I'm not a big fan of going out and having to cook my own food. The server told us the shripm only needed 45 seconds on the flame and 5 minutes later one side of my shrip was finally ready and cooked. That scares me. I have a fear of eating undercooked food."

"I've been to a few Gyu-Kaku's in Japan, Osaka, Yokosuka, Yokohama, Nagoya and Okinawa. It is one of my favorite restaurants to visit when I'm out there. This one was pretty good but the sauce was not the same as the one in Japan, it seemed like the sauce was watered down! The overall experience was still outstanding but please try to get the sauce that the main land Japan Gyu-Kaku uses. If the sauce was the same my overall experience would have been 5 stars!"

"I went on a date here and we spent 100 dollars on 4 proteins (overpriced and extremely small) rice, and 3 drinks. I have no idea who though this was a good idea as a restaurant. My wine I bought (red wine) there was cork in my glass (alot of it), I dont understand why buying prime beef @ 18 dollars for about 4 ounces and then cooking it yourself with no flavor/seasonings really to pick from is a good idea. I could have spent the same amount of money at home cooking myself with everything being better and much cheaper.
The main point to my review, overpriced and a scam."

"This place is pretty nice and the food is pretty good, but I wouldn't say its an amazing dining experience unlike no other. I'm sure there are better Japanese BBQ places around and unless you're here for happy hour, everything is just too expensive."

"Always a fun experience, their pricing is a bit high, especially when the least expensive bottle of 'good saki' is around $50.00. Great location, service could be improved with a bit more personal attention - seems the staff is always in a rush and is a bit hard to find once you've ordered....may have just been an 'off' night. With the exception of pricing, great fun for all!"
